It’s pretty dumb how the devs set up some of these animations. The suspect literally points his gun directly at the officers during these “hesitation” animations. He wasn’t showing a sign of surrendering at all. I would say that’s definitely an authorized shot once you see a gun point in your direction.

Assuming bullet damage is relatively the same, what does an AK platform change in a game like this without jamming animations or weather condition variables, for a Cali based Police Department? To not be too negative, Im sure someone would mod it in at least.
@@zombiefinatic7033 There are mods yes, but as a long time enjoyer of the game and being familiar with the firearms world, I can say a bunch of the guns already in game wouldn't be seriously considered by modern big city depts as well. So really, just to add flavor and to customize tacticool AKs. Lastly, if you were to dig deep you will find companies like Syndicus defense and Krebs custom who have provided service AK's for depts in Cali and Alaska :)

Its not like Rianbow Six Siege where its international departments working together. Now 5.45 would be different, though imo, a redundant cartridge. They will all have similar patterns, ballistics and damage figures if they keep it all rather realistic. I would rather they focus on making different and new weapons, rather than the same effecfiveness or less effective armaments, at least while the game is fresh and still being worked on heavily. But thats just my opinion. While they might not be modern, I have seen a lot of people say the department is severely underfunded, hence the odd selections, which I will not say I know enough about that. Clearly they are underfunded when I cant choose a Surefire, Vampire light combo and DbaL D2 to use simutaniously. Also that is interesting, I did not know that Cali PDs could have AKs on hand. Alaska too, but I could understand that more with there severe conditions and cold temps. I live on the East Coast so everyone here carries Sig because its local.

Thats the lore behind why the arms are odd and why there are inneffective means being used by their PD, but thats beyond my scope of backstory, I have only been playing since launch.
They've even made it more realistic by introducing police brutality. Some of the armed npc had given up, but the game won't allow me to arrest them. In the end, the ai cops are yelling at the npc to put their hands up while I have to shoot the npc to complete the mission. Lol
lol Damn! This was always a bug though ever since version 1.0 on civilians time to times. I guess they will never fix this. I literally have to shoot a civilian time to times ( depending on the map really ) in order to finally arrest the civi while the civi is injured\incapacitated on the floor. Otherwise, mission won't complete. VOID are quite the ginus.
The Helicopter is a refreshing additional with the thermal and spotlight. However after playing all of the new maps with my team about 6 to 8 times each. We actually find the Helicopter in a sense to be a little bit of a gimmick/issue At the beginning of the map sure for scouting/recon it can be helpful But especially for Yacht it goes from barricaded suspects to active shooter which foces us to switch to I.A.R.D. tactics. No one has time to be looking at the helicopter feed. Its also tough to stop and wait for it over and over to circle all the way around. It can kill the tactical flow with a team. I tried to mitigate this by not having my phone/tablet all the up at my face to glance it but then i dont have my muzzle up moving with my team. It would be cool to have a 6th slot player that could help command/control the camera and relay WAY better communucatiin then current. Allow him to have a 4 split screen and have 4 players camera feeds/team cam going to help with command Helicopter tell us there is an enemy "south" Where south? Upper deck? Bottom deck? In a room? Its so vague and law enforcement would be more descriptive. Just my two cents. The update is a really refreshing and great update to see
yall in Tactical Assult Vr would do greatly, if you have played it and i just dont remember then i want to see it, if you havent. i think you would like it.
If you managed to arrest the main dude that "owns" the ship within the first 3-5 minutes, you can prevent the active shooter scenario from triggering. You'll even get an achivement for it.
This game is so much fun. Servers have been struggling since the update though. A lot of people complaining about crash games. Hopefully we get a patch soon.
I feel like RON is moving away from the originally intended SWAT feel and towards federal agencies operating outside LS. Wish they would make more of a pull back to local areas with more intense firefights in gritty situations back home rather than combatting terrorists on an oil rig.
While very cool in concept, the game is very early on in its life, the upkeep on multiplayer games is very high and the eventual balances and anti cheats become tiresome, especially for a smaller company to handle. The framework for the game does not seem to lean on that kind of networking imo. Also current R6 Siege sucks, I would not recommend it. It use to be good when it was half this game is, but new siege is just hero-shooter CoD with worse skins and quantity over quality.
Has anyone else noticed that they ramped up the ‘weapon momentum’ so whenever you have even the slightest horizontal camera movement the weapon wiggles so bad that you lose your reticle? It seems to be the worst for ARs as during target transitions or digging corners you’ll have no clue where your shots will line up. It wasn’t like this before the update, now everything outside of SMGs (they seem to suffer the least from this issue) feel like crap.

It’s cool, but it’s pissing me off that they broke customisation. When you equip stuff, and switch to another unit and back to you it messes it all up and you have to select it again. A work around is saving and loading presets but that’s tedious to do a million times a day. Already made a bug report on their discord tough! They really need to modify the new surrender animations, or remove the ROE violation. The suspects should not point the gun straight at an officer and expect not to get shot.
Also, there's a bug where I'm getting shot/hurt when npc don't see me. I send in the red team in one room while the blue team and I are in the next room. Red find an npc with gun and are having a shootout while us in the next room find nothing. I'm the one getting shot at somehow.
These are terrible ideas. For a PD to have LMG's is insane, LMGs are, correctly if Im wrong, used primarily as suppressing fire in military operarions to keep enemies down for ally troops to move, or so they do not move while a picer attack is permitted. Bringing an LMG, even an American-180 22lr LMG to like a crack house raid would be as insane for a game that touts some "realism" as using napalm strikes or javline missiles. Even in game, that would be excessive use of force. AA-12, is probably just as bad. I dont know of a PD that uses a 32 round drum mag automatic shotgun to uphold the law in gas station robberies. I am very unaware of the current AA-12's use in military roles, hut if I had to guess its probably, like an LMG, a support weapon meant to fire at long distances to pepper pellets into far off threats. Not go door do door turning insurgents into meat paste with 5 rounds a second. Female officers, no, thats a bad idea to add them just because. Will they? Probably, but I think it promotes a bad current year steryotype that everyone is the same besides whats printed on your licence. For example, take a look at Louise Gabbitas after a round of fighting in SAS: Who Dares Wins. Anyways I cant wait for officer wheels and his accessibility scooter or the legless wheelchair man to be my entry fragging team. Get out the tacfical ramp and accessibility crane.

Most of the mods won't work after an update/DLC, I also hate that, but the only option for now is to clear all the mods (not just clear the folder but you need to delete them through the crash info/pop up window) 😢
It's weird that it deleted all your progress tho. Unless you clicked to clear user data in the white crash menu (that one where you can type the reason etc. why it crashed). Also, did you download them from nexus, ingame or from other sites?
I'm not entirely sure but the safe mode doesn't load your user data, when you'll clear the mods, and run the game normally it should load your progress

The real-world city of Los Angeles, on which the game's Los Suenos is based, has a Maritime Operations Division that is trained for operating within LA waters and is capable of handling exactly the sort of situation presented in the game scenario.

I love this game, but for me, the biggest problem is that there’s nothing to grind for. All weapons and maps are immediately available, except for some cosmetic items. If they introduced a coop story mode where you have to build your own squad department, something like that would be really cool.

These are terrible ideas. For a PD to have LMG's is insane, LMGs are, correctly if Im wrong, used primarily as suppressing fire in military operarions to keep enemies down for ally troops to move, or so they do not move while a picer attack is permitted. Bringing an LMG, even an American-180 22lr LMG to like a crack house raid would be as insane for a game that touts some "realism" as using napalm strikes or javline missiles. Even in game, that would be excessive use of force.
AA-12, is probably just as bad. I dont know of a PD that uses a 32 round drum mag automatic shotgun to uphold the law in gas station robberies. I am very unaware of the current AA-12's use in military roles, hut if I had to guess its probably, like an LMG, a support weapon meant to fire at long distances to pepper pellets into far off threats. Not go door do door turning insurgents into meat paste with 5 rounds a second.
Female officers, no, thats a bad idea to add them just because. Will they? Probably, but I think it promotes a bad current year steryotype that everyone is the same besides whats printed on your licence. For example, take a look at Louise Gabbitas after a round of fighting in SAS: Who Dares Wins. Anyways I cant wait for officer wheels and his accessibility scooter or the legless wheelchair man to be my entry fragging team. Get out the tacfical ramp and accessibility crane.

does someone have the same problem with starting the game in the normal Mode with mods and the new dlc ? cant start the game -.- only in safe mode but without mods & without my Progress in the Game ...
Most of the mods won't work after an update/DLC, I also hate that, but the only option for now is to clear all the mods (not just clear the folder but you need to delete them through the crash info/pop up window) 😢
It's weird that it deleted all your progress tho. Unless you clicked to clear user data in the white crash menu (that one where you can type the reason etc. why it crashed). Also, did you download them from nexus, ingame or from other sites?
I'm not entirely sure but the safe mode doesn't load your user data, when you'll clear the mods, and run the game normally it should load your progress

Only the cosmetics are paid only. Guns are free and you can play on DLC maps as long as the host has the DLC

This game needs exosuits and weapons skins badly, 2/10 from me.
I love this game, but for me, the biggest problem is that there’s nothing to grind for. All weapons and maps are immediately available, except for some cosmetic items. If they introduced a coop story mode where you have to build your own squad department, something like that would be really cool.
Honestly being given the cosmetics with purchase rather than having to grind for them hurts in a way
