    Thanks for this! Do we have to re-do all these steps every time we go live even if it’s the same group?

      If you use persistent stream keys you don't need to enter the info but you will need to start and stop the streams manually each time.

    Best video thank you. Other videos I have watched did not provide the same detail. It is the silly things that get you stumped. You start overthinking "should that say this" "mine's does not look like that" all you said was "there is a couple of ways (as usual) in FB you can get back in" problem solved. very well paced. Appreciate it.

    Thanks a lot Neil for this comprehensive overview! What I am not totally clear about is what is a one-time setup vs what has to be done each time we go LIVE? My plan was to ditch all of this - livestream to TH-cam and share that in my FB group. Any thoughts on that?

      If you use persistent stream keys you wont need to copy and paste this every time. But to go live you will have to manually start and stop your stream on FB and from the Production Software you use.

    Neil, very helpful video. I noticed during the video (at the 8:15 mark) that you were only streaming to a single destination: Facebook. Does this same procedure work when streaming simultaneously through Ecamm Live to multiple destinations? Are there any differences that I should note?

    • @NeilFarrimond
      @NeilFarrimond  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can add multiple destinations to Ecamm using the built in destination settings , in addition with this FB RTMP workflow. The only difference and thing you need to be aware of is how you show your comments. As mentioned, FB needs the Social Stream Ninja plugin to work, YT, Twitter & IG for example do not and can be viewed in Ecamm natively. You can of course use the Social Stream Ninja plugin to bring in all comments but you need to open a chat browser window for all your other destinations. Or you can use the Ecamm chat overlay for the others and the web widget for FB comments as detailed in the video. It’s up to you how you want these comments to be shown. Maybe I should create a follow up video for showing all comments in Social Stream Ninja.

    Thank you for this tutorial. My ecamm guest was not seen or heard when i put this into practice. It worked great for me, although it did not work for me to bring a guest on, what did i do wrong?

    • @NeilFarrimond
      @NeilFarrimond  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, do you mean the guest in your Ecamm production was not heard on the stream, by you or both? This sounds like a Ecamm configuration issue, not a Facebook RTMP issue.

      in facebook do i need to utilize ecamm virtual cam and ecamm virtual mic in the settings page?

      Yes that’s correct.

    Question. WHy would I add new if the destination is already there? I find it confusing for the fact that It is already there, but ecamm is telling me that my group may not allow live streams. Jpw os addomg the sa,e destination going to make a difference? It automatically goes to TH-cam with no issues, but it seems that facebook group (already a destination, won't allow me. . This is May 14th, is it too late?

    • @NeilFarrimond
      @NeilFarrimond  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The built in destination from Ecamm to Facebook groups will no longer work. You will need to delete the old FaceBook destination in Ecamm settings and following the details in the video. This is a Facebook decision not Ecamm.

    Do you have to have ecam software

    • @NeilFarrimond
      @NeilFarrimond  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No you don’t have to use Ecamm specifically this workflow will apply for OBS streamyard restream or any other. I just showed Ecamm as that’s the software I have but the RTMP workflow is the same for everything.
