I was at Woodstock and it changed my life till this day I am still listening two the music even now I was 17 and iam 70 now I'll never forget Peace and Love
I was 15, and the world changed since...but I still wakeup every morning so until I don't I'll make the best of it with good music and my family and friends...
During those days late '70's here in the Philippines we were also followers of this happenings so called HIPPIES , HIPPOCRISY & HAPPINESS...we also organize and attended our own Woodstock-like crowd concerts like the Marikina Woodstock - like festival, the Talabaan Rock Island festival in Quezon Province Beach, the Tagaytay Lodge Rock Festival 3 days and 3 nights also of Love & Peace, the Baguio Summer Rock Concert and many more Concerts organize by RJacinto Groups kudos to DZRJ 810 khz. The Rock of Manila. We just love those good old days of WOODSTOCK 1969.
I DİD NOT SEE THE WOODSTOCK....BUT MY SOUL WAS THERE...I WAS 21...NOW 74.....I REMEMBERED OLD DAYS...... WE WERE ALL BROTHERS AND SİSTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD
I remember those times. You had the Monterey,Isle of Wight and the Woodstock Festivals. There was Music,Peace, Love,Sex,Drugs and Utopia.Woodstock was the best festival ever.Bring back the good old times.Peace to You,my Brothers and Sisters.❤️❤️❤️❤️.
An event like no other. The best show of my lifetime. I remember the woodstock rubber hand bands that everyone wore. I still watch this and i have it on vhs too.
The seeds of youth culture started in the1950’s rock n roll, blossomed at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, went full bloom at Woodstock and withered at the Altamont concert. After that the deluge…. Glad to have survived it smiling.
I was in the jungles of Vietnam dodging bullets, hand grenades & mortar rounds at the time of Woodstock, but I got to see the movie when I got back home, so I guess I was kinda there.
I wish I had been able to go, but I wasn't even born. But I have been blessed enough to see The Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills and Nash (with Young once), and Santana numerous times 😊 And Jefferson Airplane once. LOVE THAT ERA ❤️❤️❤️
it was historical moment...and looked amazing wish i was born then unfortunatly i was born in 81 but love the music from that era much better than what they put out today
Could not make it in '69, but went out for the 40th in '09 ...most awesome vacation ever. The museum, the concert, the camping....the partying. I have had the pleasure to see 8 out of all the original acts, in concert since then.
The picture of the crowd chant was so powerful it literally brought a tear to my eye. All I could hear was the crowd wailing and clapping & pounding the bongos and shaking their tambourines and maracas. I think it was the most spiritually beautiful and tremendously moving part of the entire three-day event. And the back-to-back pictures of Hendrix and Santana; mind blowing classic shit. So damn good!!!
I realized something recently. We connect spiritually to each other. That's what was happening then and it wasn't just the kids. My parents where in their 40's, 50's when I was a kid and every weekend there where gatherings. Parties. Get together with their friends. All the kids played. Parents, people don't do that now. They come home Friday and watch the clock until Monday morning. Everyone is empty now and trying to have a spiritual experience with each other through Facebook. Good luck with that!!!
kyle d you are spot on with that its a horrible time to live in people are dead behind the eyes no communication with each other everyone like robots streets are dead everyone like robots kids constantly fighting each other i hate it even the 80,s was better than today we were flat broke but happy...its so sad and only to get worse
No exactly what you mean. I 've always tried to create/ recreate those sort of hm atmospheres . Mighty wholesome. God forbid we change into disconnected robots. So sad, so very very sad.
A moment in time. The gathering of the tribes in & for peace. What a wonderful reworking of the Traffic classic, Dear Mr Fantasy ! Sounds like Stephen Stills on Guitar & vocals (with some new verses as well) & possibly Al Kooper on hammond. Could be from those Super Sessions recordings. A great find !!
Some great shots I've never seen before. And I've seen a lot of footage of the event. The photo of Joe Cocker from the side of the stage with the dark clouds in the background and the people on the speaker tower reminds me of the portion of the show right after Joe's performance; being able to actually see it, after hearing the words, for so many years, listening to my CDs, is a real trip.
Lo mejor de lo mejor del rock, cuando era una música novedosa y llena de creatividad y de fuerza expresiva , fueron pioneros y son ya clásicos del siglo XX...
We partied with a desperation born of impending death. Many of us went to Nam many more resisted some ruining their lives in the process. My number came in at 42 for the draft. Woodstock was beautiful and brutish at the same time a premonition of the collapse of the summer of love.
" Amor, Paz y musica "
I was at Woodstock. Was great, but missed the third day due to the heavy rain. Missed some of the best music, still, was one of the greatest time I ever had. Would love to see the real Woodstock document again. I know anyone who was a “hippie” would love it too.
Yeah, that generation showed the established powers that you were pissed off and for good reason. The fuckers killed your president his brother Matin Luther King, they stole the American dream from the blacks and now the were tearing you brothers away from everything they loved and sent them to die in a war they hated! You stuck your middle finger out to them and said "FUCK YOU", FUCK YOU AND YOUR VIETNAM WAR, FUCK YOU!!! You all had enough of violence and oppression and you let them know it! They were scared you youngsters. You really showed them something and Woodstock was the top of the pile kick in the balls right back!
Remember those good old days where latin tiempo of Santana's hit songs hit the air waves like: evil ways, con color negro moher, oye como va and many others hit bands of the sixties..
Would love to see the great bands off today do this bands of today is about the money , but there still a few out there that’s about the music and the love of the fans!!!!

Odd that in this soundtrack, we're hearing Traffic (Stevie Winwood singing). Traffic didn't appear at Woodstock.
It's Crosby,Stills and Nash singing this version.
Not traffic , CSN&Y 1991
Great video, thanks.
