Many of the view counts on Meat videos range from a 20,000 count to a 20,000,000 or possibly higher. Which ain't bad when considering the album this song is originally found has sold over 35,000,000 copies. An impressive accomplishment for both men when you take into consideration this was their debut album they struggled most of the 1970's to even be heard, let alone have an opportunity to even record. A great story of rock n roll that has nothing to do with the celebatory events and fame which came after. As for the video itself I watched this one time and its impressive considering its format.. no instruments actually being used. It clocks almost ten minutes and longer live. Alot of fine musical moments that make up the one song that's no means easy to play. Whoever made this ought to pat themself on the back because its well done! The pic itself makes me wish they had a Meat Loaf video game with ten songs or more.. some of songs would make an excellent video game. Jus to name a few from off the top of my head.. In The Land Of The Pig, The Monster Is Loose
I am rocking out! I love the beats. Very good choice to add the lyrics. I can’t imagine how much time went into making this, the song is challenging and you really captures all the parts extremely well.
Thanks! I went back and forth on whether or not to include lyrics, but I'm very happy I did! I initially wanted this done way back in October, but I spent the whole month of November working on it, tweaking it, arranging and such. I'm very happy with how it came out, it's easily the longest amount of time I've worked on one cover.
Context: I have a tattoo on my right arm of the Bat Out of Hell cover with Mario and Yoshi in place of the biker and the Bat replaced with Giga Bowser! As a game lover, and lover of Jim and Meat this makes me...words don't do it justice.
I love the fluidity of modal interchange in this song and how easy this lets you see them. It's clearly primarily in C mixolydian, but often goes in and out of C Minor
Why didn't we have folks who could adapt performance music to early video game and computer specs this well *when we really, really, needed it?* I live 45 minutes away from a large arcade/ vintage video game museum. Do you know what sorts of *HELLISH* noises come out of there?! 😆
I'll be honest with you, this is actually a very good creation. Though with as much sound this song has this shouldn't be physically possible to do with how Jim Steinman does all of his arrangements. But here it is, an 8-bit rendition of the most famous Rock Anthems of the 1970's. Meat Loaf is truly God of Rock and Roll if his music has this much impact in so many people's lives. And Jim Steinman will always be the greatest song writer that has ever lived.
I couldn't agree more! Both Meat and Jim meant a lot to me, which is why I even made this tribute in the first place! Condensing such lush, full arrangements into 5 channels was an incredible technical nightmare, but that's part of what made it so fun! Going through the sheet music, listening to the song dozens of times, knowing what to emphasise at what time, , it made me really appreciate how well put together the song was, and the power of Jim's writing meant that it was never boring!
this is so amazing. i do wish the rhythm in the upper left came out of the bottom of the keys like the rest of the instruments instead of the top of the screen.

It took about a month of on and off arranging, composing and mixing to get it sounding just right! It's probably the longest I've spent on a single song, which is insane considering it was meant to be just a cover!
