I can't listen right now because I'm off to class but I wanted to drop some early engagement and say how excited I am to hear it later today. Love your work, Ian!
This is one of the best stories I ever read and heard, who says it is impossible to dream a lucid dream like this? Marvelous Tale, something to read to your children when they are old enough.... I read it for the first time decades ago, and your reading made me realize again what an amazing good story it is. Thanks Ian. ⚔️🗡️
Wow! This is one hell of a good story. Howard really knew how to write a good tale. This world is utterly amazing. It is a fun and entertaining story. I was smiling and following along the whole time. Fantastic narration! Thanks!
Neither Howard, even in a story, could question the might of Rome, so it is victory in a skirmish. It was a very nice story. A mixture of history and fantasy.
Wow! What a thrilling tale! Everything about this one is perfect. It's one of Howard's best works, performed flawlessly by Ian. Even the wallpaper/artwork is perfection. I don't know if Ian painted it or found it but it couldn't have been better. Bravo! One of your best yet! 😎⚔🔥
The howling chainsaw drowned out Warren’s curses as he struggled to push it through the mighty oak. He _knew_ he should’ve sharpened the chain yesterday. He’d do it tonight after his shift. But first the shift had to end and he just needed to cut this one tree trunk and - Warren’s musing was cut short as the chainsaw slipped off the trunk and swung for his thigh. With a yell he danced back and heaved it around him wildly to avoid a mortal wound. As the chainsaw whipped behind him he felt it strike something before he released it. His heart still hammering in his chest, he turned to see a black robed figure slumped over behind him, an ebon scythe beside it. Bending over, he turned off the still revving saw to see a skull laying upside down next to it, jawbone open as if surprised. With a yell that sent Warren jumping backwards in terror the skull yelled, *“You FOOL! You’re supposed to be DEAD!”*
I hope you never get tired of reading books aloud ! People always tell me i got the Voice for that but i much rather listen :) Next month i should have enough "savings" to buy all your stuff on audible. Got the big collections already. Great Listening while working (if allowed) and perfect for a good shiver before sleeping. Thank you again.
You crushed it with Conan, now we're treated to Kull and Bran in a brilliant fantasy crossover, so happy you leaned into sword and sorcery aswell as horror. 😎
@@Boogie_the_cat From what little I know of Howard he just found life tiresome. He was an odd duck. He had so much more to give. I wonder what he would think of how big Conan has gotten.
@@Ktotwf I'm thoroughly enjoying these Bran Mak Morn stories because they haven't been done to death quite the way that most of Conan, (particularly the Howard stories,) and to a lesser extent the Kull stories have been.

@@HorrorBabble you are quite welcome good sir I love everything you do great voice awesome storytelling experience that you have I love everything that you've done thank you
Fantasy babble is another hit. Much appreciated for your hard working and dedication
I love the way you voice Kull, the resonance has a perfect dreamlike quality. Very absorbing tale.
Last time I was this early, Warren just got a great deal on his life insurance

Horror is my first love, but fantasy is horror adjacent. Keep the Fantasy Babble coming!
i always say horror is fantasy. "Bad Adventures" happen too, and not every "Hero" "survives" to live a long and prosper life. :)
I love a good bran makking on a rainy Monday.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS IAN...THANK YOU HERR GORDON

Ah yes, Vikings and Romans facing each other... classic Howard!
Thanks again Ian! You are such an amazing narrator.
I'd say you're up there with Greg Waglands Treasure Island. Gold standard.
Read this story years ago from a compilation of Bran stories called Worms of the Earth. A superb story and well read. Many thanks.
Worms of the Earth is on here too, just in case ya missed it 🙂
Excellent another video! I'm going to set aside time to watch this!
I sincerely appreciate the entertainment!
Cheers and thankyou so much Ian I really enjoyed this story. There was heaps of action and mystery and the characters had such depth xo :)
Robert E Howard is my spirit animal.
Kull coming in with endgame gear was just nasty. Poor Wulfhere and the nublets had no chance against the overleveled troll.
Ha!
🤺💪💥 more like Bran Mak Awesome! What a great surprise.
Fantastic!
Thank you 🙏
Wonderful, Thank you.

I had to set aside my vacation plans for this hour and a half. I say: well worth it.
Thanks horror babble. You just made my vacation better.
Fantastic work. A great story.
What a story! Made only better by the great narration!
Many thanks Ian😊
That was amazing, thank you.
Excellent story one of your vary best.
Brilliant stuff. In my opinion R Howard's best.
Best crossover stories of Howard's characters.

This one and the Hope-Hodgson last week have been exceptionally good, thanks.

We badly needed a Kull and Conan crossover
Mighta happened if Howard hadn't flew off the handle when his mother went into a coma.
Why do so many creative people die young(ish) ?
No we don't..

So early Warren is still alive 😂😂
All I needed to hear was "REH"
Had to add...Listening in what was Dalriada!...Dunadde hill is only a few miles from here.
Ah!
What a fun fantasy story
Man. That was fun.
What a story
"Beat us off" Phrasing Robert E Howard, phrasing.
Oh, Howard...
I'm no fool warren you just dont listen 😂
What Fun 😊
Obligatory generic algorithm fodder comment.

Hark! Ian & Jenn... Who goes there? It is I 😊 TH-cam deleted both of my accounts, I had to start over. Subbed (of course).

Robert e howards fascination with primitive races makes me wish ethnology were not so out of favor these days, I think it is very Interesting ting
I think we ought strive to bring Ethnology back into favor! I am subscribed to a few channels here that are working toward this.
