Hey everyone just wanted to give a heads up! I will be running a 45 minute premiere Monday at 5pm central time. It is primarily just to have fun and to have the LIVE chat going. TH-cam has screwed these up the last few times by lagging so I'm hopeful that it will work out! Be sure to hit the reminder so you won't miss the chance to chat!
Snakes are the one reason I don't Creek hunt. In fact snakes limit me from a lot of things! :(. I did search some woods and found a handful of like 70s. I know... Lame but I still display them as if something super!!! Thanks for what u do.. entertaining and informative!!
My dad and I were in a boat fishing one time and we had a water moccasin actually trying to get in our boat!!! It freaked me out and we had to move to a different spot to get away from it! It was huge to!!
When I was younger we were on vacation and my family bottle hunts as well. We were in a creek and I was about 6 I am 12 now. I got bit in my lower calf and I have never been in such bad pain before. I can’t remember much from then.
Nice, I'm shut down on creek walking for a while, leaves!! Once they all fall and we get a good wash out rain, I'll be back in during low water until they're frozen over.
That was very educational. This will help out a lot of people walking rivers. If I ever live somewhere that has old bottles in the banks I’ve just learned the what too dues. Thanks for the tips Brandon.
I lived in Atlanta in the 1990's and did some creek walking looking for Civil War relics now and then.... There was one spring morning I'll never forget. We were out on a little creek that runs into the Chattahoochie out by the 6 Flags and I was walking across a beaver dam and stepped into a little hole on the top. I heard a stick crack and when I looked down there were a good 10, maybe 20 (I didn't stop to count) cottonmouths practically jumping out into the pond right past my foot. My friend who was with me said I jumped about 4 feet straight up in the air, and I don't think my feet touched down til I hit the other bank. Needless to say we found another place to cross on the way back
Thank you for a very informative and interesting article ! Take care , stay safe and healthy wherever your next adventure takes you ! Doing well here in Kansas .
Awesome video brother! Im about to start looking for creeks around me to walk, Problem is im in Central FL, and your right Gators and Snakes are a factor.
Cotton mouth snakes are aggressive, territorial and very protective of their young. If you haven't been harassed by one in a creek or stream, they ignored you or they were looking for food. They do not play, and have a habit of biting dogs.
loved all the tips. i am going to be celebrating my birthday this weekend and plan on canoeing to spots i have never been. i found i pile of tires on google earth that i hope has bottles also. i will try to put some of those tips to work.
Most every county in America have a GIS Geographical Information service or a PIC Property Information Service that will show you an online interactive map of the county you live in. You can click the property that you are investigating and it will show you the owners name.
Thanks Brandon for all tips on bottle hunting in the creeks/rivers. You found 3 pretty nice older bottles. Not a bad day at all. At least you didn't get skunked. LoL. Thanks for the video an taking us along on your creek adventure. As always safe an happy hunting/digging. Have a safe an healthy halloween with your family. 🎃👻👺. 😁👍👍
Have you ever hunted in a tidal river/inlet? We live in FL and have found some spots along a tidal river where glass and bottles wash up. I haven’t seen things eroding out of the bank and I’ve dug some test holes in areas we see glass and tires but never find much of anything. I wonder where the bottles come from?
Enjoyed video , do more . Trust me , Cottonmouths / Moccasins are extremely aggressive ,50 years of experience is enough for me . The stories I could tell . God bless .
On X Hunt is a great app with waypoints, distance tracking and GIS (property owner) information. Low yearly subscription. Keep up with exactly where you've been and where you've found things.
Nice job on finds and video!! I have had cotton mouth jack with me before, the don't tend to chase me when I blast them with 4 10 pistol that came from Alabama! Ha

Great stuff ! Love all the great info.
Tyres are good beds for fish, keeps them dry when it's raining 👍🍺
Haha
Adventure Archaeology Brandon do the tyres catch bottles or not worth checking?
@@drunkdunc8738 They definitely do. The only whole whiskey jug I've ever found in a creek was in a tire haha!
Adventure Archaeology Sweet👍 check for gold nuggets too😆

Looks like hurricane Delta rainfall gave you lots of exposed glass
Wasn't quite enough but it was a good start!

Have to be honest thats a bit out of my element but sounds really awesome!
havent got to creek walk here but a handful of times this year. rain has been about non existant.
It has been a tough year weather wise!

Haha Thanks and I am glad to here someone agree with me!
How do you turn a broken bottle into a drinking glass? I’d be interested in learning how to do that.
I thought you said 300 plus year old bottles.😄
I wish!

I have had cotton mouth jack with me before, the don't tend to chase me when I blast them with 4 10 pistol that came from Alabama! Ha
Lol!
I've got a bottle I found it feel out of the bucket of the excavator I was working running if I can figure out to send you a picture I'll do so
Ok Now I have found bottles .how to clean them .now do I clean them right away or let them sit for a couple days a video like that would be cool
Ive got a how to clean video. Just give it a quick look!
Yeah, watch out for alligators in Florida, South Alabama and Louisiana. Don't worry about alligators in that state in between Alabama and Louisiana 😉
Not a water moccasin but I was chased by an old lady with a shoe in her hand once 🤪
😂😂😂
You can also use tax maps for your county to find out who owns plots of land. There is one for the entire state of alabama. And its free lol
Hmm never tried that method. Is it something you can access quickly from your cellphone?
@@adventurearchaeology It works on my phone. It is pretty easy to use. You need to know where you are though.
On hunt x is another good app and it’s free GL&HH
Ill have to check it out!
Really finding?
I try.... 🙄😂😂
@@adventurearchaeology holy crap, real non-counterfeit bottles.
IKR 😂
