Very nice performance. Relaxing, well-balanced, sparkling at times. Bravo!

Not so simply a splendid performance, that resonates with the character of essential Mendelsshon, in a work where he invested all his heart and skill, as much as in any orchestral piece, revealing his love of melody and mood in all their complexity, reality and discord, always tied in fidelity to the human condition, its beauty, precariousness

A wonderful performance. It would be great if the opening and closing credits on the video could be corrected to name the outstanding violist, who is, indeed, Paul Coletti.

Schumann loved this; we here that in Frauenlieben und Leben.

For an unprofessional quartet, they sound fantastic. By "unprofessional," I mean that these four people are not members of a functioning quartet, but rather four excellent musicians who came together to perform this work. Wonderful energy of the finale. Heart-wrenching cries of the I violin. Bravi tutti!

Members of ensembles / orchestras / choirs / (every rock band ever) often change. It doesn't mean they are unprofessional or not functioning. Thanks for defining your term, but by that definition I think instead of unprofessional you meant to say "changeable" or "unfixed". To say unprofessional is demeaning to these circling quartet members that play with such vivacity, and evidently have decades of experience (based on this chamber series's other videos). (:

I like the performance except that the second violinist moves so much that looking at him I feel a slight queasiness. And the first violinist tends to break phrases into smaller ones too often. But they have a wonderful energy between them.

This is performing also called musical cues. People aren't dead.

Nice performance but I found the unusual positioning of the instruments unsettling.
