Alex Rodriguez is one of the most underrated modern rock drummers (imo). He absolutely shreds and is so original with his busy style and crazy long and fast fills. Legend for sure. He influences me heavily.
I love that they’re finally doing a full live album, and it’s perfect that they chose to record and release the Sao20sin show from last year. 1/2 Anthony 1/2 Cove. And they’re releasing it with live footage throughout the lead up to the full album. 💿
Sunny Day Real Estate is one of the greatest Emocore bands of all time. I love them with all my soul. Just discovered today Saosin, another band I really adore, did you this awesome cover. If I were in that crowd, I would cry a waterfall.
This was my fifth time seeing them in total, starting from when I was young at their first show. Saosin is one of the few bands I still connect with even at 35 years old; it's like I'm transported back in time. This particular show held special significance for me because the past 16 years have been mentally tough, especially when Cove and Dead American, And Jr Slayer opened for them during my recovery from a car accident. Getting the setlist from Beau and a pick from Phil after the Garden Grove show was a highlight; then getting my setlist signed and snapping some pictures afterward meant the world to me. I've cherished all their shows, but this one was particularly meaningful. I've collected each record and shirt, although I missed out on the Brooklyn vegan exclusive. Thank you, Saosin, for the incredible years with both AG and Cove 🖤, and thank you, Garden Grove Amphitheater, for providing my favorite memories amidst all the challenges I've faced. (Sorry if this sounds like a run-on sentence; I'm running on little sleep).
I listen to a lot of bullshit through out my 20s (I’m 43 now) but these guys and Thrice are the only things I can stand. Both bands weren’t cookie cutter garbage. And this cover proves it

Fantastic cover. slightly bummed Anthony needed the lyrics written out for him, but I get it. It's not their song, and they don't really ever play this. You can see it at 2:46, and he's consistently looking down throughout the song.

@tylerpifer5966 Justin isn't in the band anymore. Phil Sgrosso of As I Lay Dying took over as guitarist in like 2015 I believe. But Phil sat out on this song so Scott could rip some bass tunes
Awesome night. Women at the concert ruined it a lot by making it about themselves rather than the band by standing in the middle of the stage for a few seconds before stage diving. I hope you guys edit out those parts on the dvd it was really cringe and obnoxious. Also LOL on the second night. The first night everyone was older and the crowd was drunk. Second night it was mostly young kids who were already dehydrating which you cant make this up! I love saosin but after watching them 4 times at this venue and watching LS dunes its safe to say the fanbase is pretty cringy or at least the younger crowd. Also if you cant mosh pit dont join a mosh pit. I remember the show being stopped twice because of 2 chicks who obviously never been to a show and thought they could handle it. (i hope you guys remove that entire part as well on the dvd) My wife and I made fun of the obnoxious women that day.
