I’m so glad you bought Romney for your first full fleece! It’s my favorite breed to work with and is such a forgiving fleece to process, especially for beginners. Happy processing and happy making!
I was already subscribed to your podcast, but as soon as you mentioned the newsletter and the testknit for the Moreau sweater, I stopped this podcast and subscribed to the newsletter. I love knitting with multiple colors, and would be so happy and honoured if I could test knit this pattern for you! Now I will continue watching the podcast, while knitting on a Fair Isle sweater for myself ☺
I love your new jumper. I think the colours go well together. That Gilbert shirt is going to look really cute and am looking forward to seeing the final result. You were talking about the method you used to sew both sides of the yoke. It’s called the Burrito Method as you roll the fabric as if it was a burrito 😋 Also, those fabrics that you bought are beautiful
Hi Bella just found you podcast loved it. That jumper is amazing especially colours. The yoke on a Gilbert shirt uses the Burreto method to keep all seams enclosed. Love you colour choices 😊
What a beautiful episode! Thank you so much for the sock information. I’ll need to be patient finishing these 8 hats for my granddaughters school…..then, I will do a pair of socks for myself! Thank you for choosing to podcast. It is so appreciated. 😊
Lovely Episode! as always! Those braids are just amazing! looooove all the moody colors! and Your new Sweater designs are gorgeous! Cheers from Canada! 🥰🧶
Beautiful sweater! I loved the color work of 'improvised' socks :) And wow - I'm in love with the new sweater from 2neg=1pos. Also - the sheep at the end :DDD
Love it Bella! Thanks for sharing - you’ve inspired me to make colorwork Kura socks 🥰 I’m working on a test knit now. Hope to be able to test for you at some point.
Wow, I'm so happy you made it to Lambtown. I thought you might like it since it's so close. And I love that you bought 2 Romney fleece. They look great. I have several raw fleece I've purchased over the years and I still love them all! Two of my friends and I are processing a romney fleece and plan to knit a sweater with it. Romney is a very good choice. You won't be disappointed. If I were just starting out I would get a set of hand cards and a set of fine combs then you can make either a combed prep or woolen prep using any fleece. And then I would buy a Clemes & Clemes lock pop. It was a game changer for my fiber prep. I am deep into this fiber rabbit hole and love being here. I love Nutiden also and love your Kura socks. I just started watching Evil Knits videos on how to make them. Thanks for sharing via YT.
What has been your experience with pilling and Nutiden? Does it pill less (if it pills at all!) if you hold it with a strand of mohair? I love it and just beginning to make sweaters.
I have found that Nutiden with a looser gauge is more prone to pilling but at a tighter gauge it is much less likely - and yes probably holding with mohair would help though I don't have anything like that yet that I have worn for a long time

Harris tweed is woven on the isle of Harris here in Scotland. Hence the name. 👍 kinda like the champagne of fabrics.
ahh makes sense! thank you

The sock could be made into a Christmas stocking with some modifications.
Your sweater looks great!
How are you able to knit so much so quickly, it's amazing! (Coming from somebody who crochets)
