I think it's clever that the spiders they used in Yona's test is the same kind of spider Fluttershy praised about to Maud in the episode Maud Pie, saying they look scary but are actually very sweet and keep more dangerous insects away
This is one of my favorite Student 6 episodes, it was so good to see them conquer their fears, Smolder looked adorable and gorgeous in that dress it made her look like a princess, and i'm not gonna lie some people in the fandom including myself started shipping Gallus and Silverstream even more after this episode!!!
8:05 At the End of the “Mean Six” episode the tree reacted to the the fake element bearers that Chrysalis created from trees in the forest. Showcasing what happens when you try to go against the “Elements of Harmony” and it knew that they weren’t the true element bearers. Here in this episode the tree is testing the “Student Six” on their friendship as a group by individually splitting them up to face their own trials to see if they could over come them. Therefore proving to Cozy Glow that creatures other than pony’s can understand “Friendship”. You’re not really supposed to know what Cozy Glow’s goal is, but she definitely makes you feel uneasy. This episode definitely leaves you with a cliffhanger ending that reinforces this point. A lot is gonna happen at the End of Season 8, but I won’t say anything about it. Best to experience it yourself. Liking your reactions. Glad to see you continuing with S8 and looking forward to seeing you react to S9, and hopefully the remaining episodes of S7. When this came out, theories were flying everywhere. This is one of my favorite season 8 episodes. 1) Makes you question what is Cozy Glow up to. 2) Harmony uses the image of Twilight foe its avatar. There is a lot of implications, there. 3) Character development with the student 6. Ocelis and Silverstream. I love how you feel the terror Silverstream felt all her life, and the power of her facing it.
They did so well making cozy difficult to understand at first. Like, she was kind of unsettling but i thought it was bad acting at the time. But then this episode happened and i’m like- waaaait…
Oh boy, oh boy, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this one. Definitely my fav episode of s8 - I really love how it explores and fleshes out the characters more of the Young Six.
My favorite highlights of this episode are when Smolder embraces her sensitive side by being cute and adorable (plus when she refuses to take part in her test by saying, “No! On so many levels, no!” Best quote of the episode for me, lol) and when Silverstream conquered her fear of the Storm King, that was cool. Great S8 episode imo (great reaction too)!
This is one of my most favorite episodes on with my other most favorite episodes. I myself since I really like this episode and am bias on this episode. I'd rate it 9.5 to 9.8.
@@TheArmouredBrony Just to let you know then, Best Gift Ever (and a series of pony shorts) came out between seasons 8 and 9, and Rainbow Roadtrip came out during the final midseason hiatus. However, they can all be watched whenever, they have no significant relation to the show's continuity from this point forward.

One can be forgiven for doubting, at this point, that Pony Shirley Temple is one of the greatest threats Equestria has ever faced.
