Fabulous, I've only just come across Ryan Davis because my (Welsh) husband mentioned watching 'Ryan and Ronnie' when he was a child. I am totally smitten with this man and his range of talents.
I was born and bred in Cardigan, leaving in 1975 at the age of 26. Now in my seventies these little videos bring back many happy (and not so happy) memories of growing up in West Wales, and watching Ronnie and Ryan on TV, always so funny. Phylis Doris, light of my life and the rest of the fictional family had me in stitches. Life was so easy then, much more laid back. So many friends who have passed on, someone once told me to enjoy life, as one day all there will be will be memories, so make sure they're good ones. The evenings spent in Cilgerran with the local girls, sneaking into the castle avoiding Twm Bolla! I could go on and on, but thanks Ronnie and Ryan for making some of those memories so great. Ryan was a multi talented entertainer, taken to soon.
Cheers for posting. Good to read wholesome snippets from the days gone-by. My father is the same age as you, grew-up in cardigan around the same time, do you recall a man called Marcel? Used to play guitar in the local pubs (apparently) - renditions of Sloop-John B etc.
as my friend posted this on facebook our daughter sent us a photo of her alll gowned up ready to go to work SO PROUD OF YOU SUNSHINE love your Mammy xxxx
