It’s a shame we have to analyse and place fault for every incident it seems nowadays. IMO, it was just an unfortunate collision - both riders could have acted differently to avoid coming together but THEY ARE RACING. No racer in their right mind is going to roll off if there is clear track ahead of them. Alex didn’t leave the track, he simply went a little deep into the corner, and Pecco was right to try and take advantage there and then rather than waiting. And re. some of the comments about the guest - he’s being asked for his opinion and that’s what he gives. Agree or disagree, it’s great to have young people taking interest in the sport and wanting to share it with others. Oh, and Marc was awesome!
couldn't agree more. This true for all forms of motorsport, if there is a gap and half an opportunity then it is basically your job do try and make claim to it, no competitve driver/rider is worth their salt if they don't. unfortunatly this does result in contact and crashes, Obviously you shouldn't go out of your way to make contact but it is inevitable when two riders/drivers go for the same piece of tarmac on the edge of grip.
It was Peccos impatience, he was so much quicker and it was only a matter of time. Alex was racing and did not want to give up his place. Pecco finished with 0 points! Pecco now has loads of extra pressure on him. Great podcast
Yes. It was a bit like Marquez's near-career-ending crash in Jerez in 2020: He had obvious pace on the rider he needed to pass, no hope of catching the next rider beyond and no immediate threat from behind. Patience would have done the job.
Every body says that Peco was past Alex, well if you look at the footage, he wasn't fully past him, there was still a couple of feet overlapping the two bikes. Closing the line before getting completely past turned out a costly mistake on Peco's side.
Pecco has a history of this kind of crashes. Earlier this year with MM and last year with Maverick. Was Alex supposed to stay up right in a turn and look around? That sounds even more dangerous. He never left the bounds of the track and it should up to the person passing to make sure they can do so safely. Ultimately I do agree it was a racing incident given the conditions. But I also believe just because you’re a title contender shouldn’t mean every one who isn’t needs to slow down every time you try to pass.

Pecco would've done exactly the same if the roles where reversed. You could even argue that Pecco knew he had way more pace and could've overtaken Alex at any point, to choose to do it into a very fast single line corner is poor race management, Alex has no championship to think about and was going to be aggresive to get a podium, he has nothing to lose, pecco knows that and should've raced accordingly, you don't take risks with riders who have nothing to lose when you're in a title fight, 3rd was the maximum.

Good comments, especially from Keith (I watched him race many times in his heyday). Subscribed. I also think Bagnaia was, at least, equally at fault for the crash. He closed in on the exit without allowing for Alex Marquez to be there, as he was expected to be, fighting for the podium. I was a hobby motorbike racer in England and New Zealand.
Reading through the commits it seems that most people think it was Pecco's fault. I also think it was his fault. He was passing on the outside line and cut Alex off. In slow motion it looks like Alex could have prevented it from happening but they don't race in slow motion. Everything happens in a split second. All Pecco had to do is be patient and he could have passed Alex down the straight. His bike is faster than the GP23. I also think the tires on Alex's bike were going off. Alex grabbing the front brake wasn't an option. It might have even made it worse. I hate that it happened but it did and Pecco and Alex have to move on to the next race. I've got to disagree with Keith a little on the incident. Yes, AM has more blame, but it's not like Pecco was ahead and AM drove up the inside and hit him. Especially when you see the overhead replay, AM went too deep but got it turned and was trying to make the next corner. He was leaned right, looking through the turn. Pecco had much more corner speed, overtook AM on the outside, thought he'd cleared him and closed the apex but AM's front tire was there and they came together. Pecco overtook from the outside, AM is looking through the inside of the turn. No way he SAW Pecco but he should have expected him.
I agree with Keith. Although whether he does this season or not, he is still the undisputed face of MotoGp just as he has been for the better part of the last decade. He is the draw, THE SHOW. Be glad you still get to see him mix it up among the mediocrity of the current grid....filled with expressionless, managed personalities, on and off the circuit. This kid is just a fan TikTok'er giving his opinion based on his rationale, which he obviously believes to be clever, nothing more. The other two feeling as though they had to play moderator not soon after his 'cancelled' quip seemed to set off Keith as well as set an absolutely awkward tone, which was hilarious. Just because someone attends some races, then 'writes' about it, does not make them a actual journalist ffs...which is about as much respected as prostitution these days. He is literally regurgitating the opinion's of other 'journalists' from all over the internet. Another example of why I do not take the words of any millennial seriously! He clearly has not re-watched the cutthroat racing of the 70's, 80's and 90's.
Pecco has zero patience. He doesn't have the ability to fight back after slipping positions. Very rarely he does. That being said, he is very good at leading a race, but needs to improve his performance when fighting from behind. Big days coming Pecco, Marc is your 2025 team mate. Remember that!
Why why why does the 'industry' go anywhere near people who can't even ride a bike??!! MotoGP world feed commentary is the same. They make the world's most exciting sport snooze-worthy. Thankfully TNT save the day.
Indeed. I get the need to involve younger and non-riding viewers, but better to do it via a younger presenter who can at least ride a bloody bike! When Mav's Aprilia seized and spat him, world feed immediately started slagging him off for making a mistake. It was clear to anyone who's had a bike lock up on them that it wasn't his fault. Embarrassing really.

The commentary and the coverage are just diabolical.I know people love Crafar but he has made outrageous comments about MM93 on this very podcast and other riders (Aleix). I don't like him. For my $160 I feel like its not the best value. I get banner ads. Feed constantly stopping with debug notice. Feed sometimes is jumpy. I feel like they are cheaping out on production etc. Waiting three hours for the replay if you miss the race. If I miss the start I'll wait for the replay. I do like Louis Suddaby though when he goes off with a flourish. He's a trip. Keep him. Get rid of the rest. Freddie needs a new job. If you want to hear two great commentators at work. Ducati would clearly prefer to have Pecco win the championship this year, which is understandable. But Marquez' form makes you wonder if they have concentrated on helping him as well. Probably too late in the season, but him stealing points from Martin and Bastianini will likely help Pecco in the end.
Track conditions played the biggest part of Marc’s success And as Frankie Carchedi said at the weekend without giving too much away it was all down to entry into two certain corners that was gaining him the time No new updates, from his crew chiefs mouth
It was Bagnaia who could see everything, and trying to overtake.. It was Bagnaia who made a mistake !! ..well..about 4th place, the same is valid for Bagnaia ! Bagnaia was the guilty one! Alex was comited, kept his line, was inside..He has no obligation to make it easy! It was Bagnaia who turned on, and closed the line! If he could not keep the line, or, as he knew, was on dirty side, he is the one to blame!
When all the electronic gadgets don't help, the real riders shine. I hope for Pecco's sake he wins the title this year.... it may be some time before he gets the chance again!
Strange that aliex didn't shine under these conditions, apparently the aprilias strength is low grip circuits. I guess you think MM is going to clear up for the next two years. If you look through the the last 35 years of winners take a look at how many are 32 or more years old, its a very elite club.
Its mathematically possible for marc to win title .if the other get launched up the road . Also Bastiani wont support pecco hes off to KTM . Alex obviously wont help . If marc pulls it iff itll be worthy of a Movie.
I'm sorry but I'd prefer to get input from guest ex racers etc and here we had a youth not in full ability of knowledge and experience. His opinion on Jake Dixon was wrong along with his take on the AM/PB crash incident . Simon Crafar's guest spot was the best I've ever watched , this wasn't good by a young journalist
Pecco might be the right on that incident, but he can overtake alex on the next corners. Now he lost the 3rd place and lost points for championship. His impatient that's it.
Dixon is 28. He been in the paddock since 2017. That ship has sailed. He has not shown the talent to move up. The idea of picking him over Miller or even Miggy. Seriously. Thats a joke. Dorna needs a British rider. Why, because Keith wants it? So childish. Theres no interest in the sport in Britian. 40 thousand at the gp. AM73 went wide. It was Peccos mistake to try the overtake. He closed the line on Marquez. Completely his fault. He had caught Marquez, the pass was just a matter of time. Also Acosta finished. As the TT racers always say "to finish first, first you must finish". The fact that someone crashes or breaks down in front of you is irrelevant.
The ship has sailed at 28, just nonsense. He’s not European, brits are different, he’s coming into his prime, under informed and in need of deeper knowledge. Wish your guest all the best going forward but not ready for this platform.

Can you please get Rob Portman from Moto Rider World on as a guest. The guy knows his stuff 👍🏻
Pecco has zero patience. He doesn't have the ability to fight back after slipping positions. Very rarely he does. That being said, he is very good at leading a race, but needs to improve his performance when fighting from behind. Big days coming Pecco, Marc is your 2025 team mate. Remember that!
Peco loves coming from behind so here is his chance to do it once more. I am sure Rossi told Peco the same thing .
Clean the starting grid. That's it. Even out starting grid for everybody, the rest of the track is what it is. Clean the grid.
The guest doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about
Why why why does the 'industry' go anywhere near people who can't even ride a bike??!!
Embarrassing really.
ah yes the world feed , count how many times Neil Morrison says "absolutely "' or exactly '' what is that accent ?
That freaking music is doing my head in. Every minute de de de de de de, de de de de de de over and over. Listen to Stavros and Huewen at the NW200. The real deal.
Booya!
I don t understend how chose chantra.and not alonso lopez garcia and dixon this is Champions of velocity not marketing world championship.and for the pramac team is not true the best old riders is better if you look ktm result, pedro acosta are the best why?
Pedro is special. No one in Moto2 right now is that level. Chantra got the seat because of his passport. Nothing more hes not even top 5 in Moto2, and this year Moto2 is quite weak.
Pecco should have waited, he had time, also in slow motion everything looks different, for me Alex did nothing wrong, ps I am fan of either.
I have some tickets for this weekend at San Marino that I can't use. Anyone interested? I don't want them to go to waste!
Ducati would clearly prefer to have Pecco win the championship this year, which is understandable.
But Marquez' form makes you wonder if they have concentrated on helping him as well. Probably too late in the season, but him stealing points from Martin and Bastianini will likely help Pecco in the end.
Track conditions played the biggest part of Marc’s success
And as Frankie Carchedi said at the weekend without giving too much away it was all down to entry into two certain corners that was gaining him the time
No new updates, from his crew chiefs mouth
It was Bagnaia who could see everything, and trying to overtake.. It was Bagnaia who made a mistake !! ..well..about 4th place, the same is valid for Bagnaia ! Bagnaia was the guilty one! Alex was comited, kept his line, was inside..He has no obligation to make it easy! It was Bagnaia who turned on, and closed the line! If he could not keep the line, or, as he knew, was on dirty side, he is the one to blame!
You guys come out with the 'review' around the time when the 'preview' should've been out 😅a
Marc has nothing to prove to anyone. He clearly is still competitive.
If marc pulls it iff itll be worthy of a Movie.
maybe next year or never now but I wish he can 🤞🤞🤞
I'm sorry but I'd prefer to get input from guest ex racers etc and here we had a youth not in full ability of knowledge and experience. His opinion on Jake Dixon was wrong along with his take on the AM/PB crash incident .
Simon Crafar's guest spot was the best I've ever watched , this wasn't good by a young journalist
But that’s the whole point to get different opinions, just because it’s not your opinion doesn’t make him wrong
Everyone has to start somewhere
As is your comment
The marquez family needs to learn humility before getting on track. These fools will kill a fellow rider soon.
Better later than never.
The guest is a waste of time no idea 👎
Don't know what's his name the guest.. but he's a Pecco fan
He is so dumb
The ship has sailed at 28, just nonsense. He’s not European, brits are different, he’s coming into his prime, under informed and in need of deeper knowledge. Wish your guest all the best going forward but not ready for this platform.
Dixon is to old for Moto Gp
He's 28! Lol
@@jasonking4209 yes, to old. By the time he gets in a team he will be 29+ 2/3 years to learn how to ride a Moto Gp bike. To late
@@jeremycanning8934 Maybe
@@jeremycanning8934
If any rider takes 2-3 years to learn to ride a Motogp bike they’d be out long before that
Just because a rider is younger it doesn’t necessarily guarantee success
@@macsmith6216 Dixon will not get a seat with a manufacturer therefore he will have to prove himself which won't be the first season, will be the next. That's two years. To old. Like many supporters I want a British rider who's in the hunt to who a championship not to make up the numbers. Has to be young, sure you can work that one out
Well this podcast doesn't like Marquez bros.... that's literally all I took from this!! Future of gp is fucked at this rate
Painful listen. Switching off after 5 mins.
Rubbish.
Alex Marquez’s bars were at Bagnias rear wheel 🤦🏻♂️ wake up !!!
A one-off. Don't expect anything like that unless a similar situation of a garbage track surface and crappy weather. Marc will win - occasionally, but those expecting a title are not being realistic.
Please stop making so much of the GP24 - it is not that much better than the GP23, plus the GP23 has a mountain of data to work with.
You mean a title next year? I'd say he'll be one of two odds on favorites.
Aha. So your theory is 3 race winners from last year who are riding the other 3 bikes suddenly forgot to ride bikes?? They are 9,10, and 11 in the championship. Marc is 3rd with about double the points of the next best.
According to the commentators the people in the garage say the GP24 is between 0.3 to 0.5 seconds per lap faster than the GP23. So I am gonna take their word over internet randos.
The GP24 is not one step ahead of the GP23, it’s a couple of steps ahead, all he Ducati riders have said this themselves
Luigi Dall'Igna said himself at the start of the season the bikes wouldn’t be so close this year, there would be a bigger gap between the Factory bike and last years bike
The mountain of data isn’t worth what it was due to the new rear tyres Michelin introduced this season
All this info is available for anyone that can be bothered looking
I think that Marc's crew chief knows a bit more than you.
Hope to see Calum again, good job son. Nice chemistry between the pundits. Thailand must suit Keith, far less grumpy than usual.
Hi! OMG moto go, I’m a huge fan of moto gp, I have a lot of interesting information and interesting opinions. I was thinking that if you need it I can join some of your podcast, im well educated. I’m from Spain but live in Ireland! You can contact me if you consider! This is a great podcast!
