Aluminum frames = more recoil than polymer due to less flex
Steel frame = Weight compensates for less flex and has less recoil than polymer

Maybe so, but everyone else says they want a polymer wonder, until they dump +P or +P+ rounds through them, and try to recover their sight picture.

That would sure be a classy looking Glock-like pistol with that shiny DLC finish on all of it with some custom G10 grips or beautiful, textured wood laminate grip inserts!

9mm Glock and you can't handle the recoil? I shoot a Glock 20 and 29. Granted the 29 is snappy, but come on. No need for metal lower.
Polymer actually absorbs recoil and the metal frames do not and have more perceived recoil.
@@jesuslovesme9138 You are correct, but with 9mm the extra weight probably does the same amount recoil offset that polymer does. Again we are talking about 9mm. It just makes me laugh it matters.

Its sweet, its like my Foxtrot S15 but more of a carry pistol. Alpha Foxtrot must have some DAMN GOOD machining there because their tolerances are fricking AMAZING!!!!! THEY ARE GOING TO CATCH FIRE WHEN THE WORD GETS OUT!!!!
Just revisiting this video. Glad you compared it to the STK100. I love mine. It is an excellent firearm as you say. Sad that some reviewers have derided it. There was lots of "noise" about it being made in two halves, and people concerned. But as yet, not one failure related to that construction has been seen anywhere that I am aware of. The frame on the Foxtrot has been around for a number of years as a Dasan product before it was branded as Foxtrot Alpha, since like 2012 or 2014, I think. It looks like the same pistol as the DSP9A. As I remember there were problems with it. Have these been resolved? It looks like no reviewers are mentioning that. Are they all unaware? I think not. I could be wrong of course. I am a metal frame Glock clone fan but have yet to grab an AF-C 9. Frankly, the Ermox is more appealing right now, for obvious reasons.
I think the problem with some of these clones is your not saving much money, but now you gotta find new holsters etc because they aren't 100% the same.
And you give up the decades and decades of confidence knowing the Glock will run no matter what. Reliability from Glock is unmatched by anyone, shadow systems and all the others included, they simply don’t have the history. Forget spending more on a clone when you can get the real deal
@@stephen_crumley I tend to agree. Besides all these higher end glock clones really are plagued with reliability issues. Shadow Systems is getting worse all the time.

I love the fact that companies are making more aluminum frames for the lowers. It gives the gun more rigidity and a better feel
Many of the best guns are the one's with the simplest designs. I think many of the older guns (and modern one's) are over-complicated. There are some great, simple, effective guns.
Little difference in Weight and Recoil. So we're left with Looks, handling, longevity, price and accessory compatibility. Personally, I like the looks the most!
I wish there where canik tp9sfx aluminum frames that would be awesome
Looking forward to the M&P 2.0 all metal models to hit the match. Smith & Wesson seemed to knock it out of the park with that idea because people who normally don't buy striker fires because their polymer will buy that all metal M&P and be able to experience the striker fire pistols which is cool I'm gonna buy one myself when they come out.
I found the exact same piece at a gun show for 550 bucks when I googled the company I was shocked I got it brand new for that cheap

You said "Glock perfection", I've never used those two words together. "Perfecting a Glock" is what I usually use and hear. The Alpha Foxtrot goes a long way to the "perfecting" part. Glocks are unquestionably great firearms and I'd not turn one down if given to me, the AF is one that I'll consider purchasing.

I like how the mag release matches the stippling, but it sucks that they take a proprietary mag release.

If only Glock would make a mag release where you don't have to change your grip to manipulate a mag change. The Tanfoglio Appeal has a trigger guard relief cut that's also beveled to prevent Glock knuckle
I took a dremel to the thumb groove of my carry gun. I tried longer catches and found they drop the mag too easily. Still looking for other options
That's one of the reasons I like my HK's so much. Being a lefty and having short sausage fingers the paddle is fantastic.
@@johndel1971able OK. If only Glock made a ergonomically shaped grip on their handguns like the CZ P-10C. I tried a 2017 P-10C when they first came out but they had so many design issues that I went back to the quality of Glock
@@LilYeshua I don't have any experience with that pistol. I've owned a PO1 which I liked but sold it. I like glocks. Their reliability and caliber options are unmatched. But like you mentioned their ergos are not for everyone especially people like myself with small hands.

@@anthonygerber8261 I absolutely agree. I'm an HK guy and glock. I just purchased a pdp f series 3.5 last week for something a little different. I couldn't believe how nice of a pistol it is. It feels better in the hands the the majority of my others. I just wish walther would offer more caliber options.
@@johndel1971able I hear you brother. I'm a Glock and HK guy myself. Love the G45 but the trigger on the VP9 is just sick. That said, I like the recoil impulse of the G45 better. The VP9 won't eat steel case ammo but the Glock eats everything I've thrown at it. Walther is on par with HK as far as striker fired triggers. My girl's father has PPQ and it's a great gun. Just shot my buddy's Beretta 92X for the first time and WOW!!! Talk about a good trigger! Currently AR shopping but going to save for another pistol next. Thinking a steel/aluminum frame, DA/SA or SA hammer fired handgun.

That's my thoughts to. CZ makes alloy complete pistols in the $6-700 range
I am always baffled by a pistol that is optics ready with a threaded barrel (“tactical “)-but does not have suppressor height sights. At least HK and FN put suppressor height sights on their “tactical “ models.
Guess it's easier to replace small sights than replace a short barrel with a long threaded barrel.

If they did supply cowitness irons nobody would be happy, there’s a million different offerings and preferences, 10 different customers would all want 10 different sights. And the increase in price for the quality sights would be complained about and it’s inevitable people would toss the sights it came with and pick the iron height they prefer, the tritium or fiber optic or blacked out etc. that’s why Glock throw cheap plastic on theirs, they know people will choose the ones they want. The 19X came with steel tritium irons and I changed them anyway

Can't use gen 3 because I'm left handed. That's why I have gen 4s and 5s

@@Keithjmcc m&p metal is not worth the money compared to the regular m&p 2.0 I have both and the regular m&p 2.0 shoots better. And believe it or not the metal has more recoil.

I have both also. Shoot the metal faster and I think it’s just funner, now it not being worth the $ you may have a point there. Still like it though. Fit a lot boxes for me.
Manufacturers really need to drop these shallow optic cuts that require suppressor height sights.

What I prefer about polymer, if the undercut isn't right, I can get the dremel out and with enough work, no one would know that it's been done.

I'm sure it's a fantastic pistol, it just looks funky AF! Maybe the finish of the slide or the extended barrel with thread protector, it just looks like a Browning Hi-Power had a bastard child with a Glock. Good review.

Still looks a bit snappy for a full sized pistol.
Probably most due to the grain of the ammo. For some reason 115 grain always makes my 19X feel like she is sentient.
I can't stand Glocks because of all the cheap parts, this gets rid of all of Glocks CHEAPNESS lol it really does round out the Block of the Glock. I have the Alpha Foxtrot S15 and boy it's such an AMAZING pistol!! Im glad I got the 1st gen heck my Serial number is 000060. I see these pistols going crazy in the future and the Foxtrot S15 and this pistol here are going to be the kind of pistols that go UP in value!!!! I NEVER PLAN ON SELLING MY ALPHA FOXTROT S15, I can't stand Glock because they purposely come out with horridly CHEAP parts, cheat trigger, cheap barrel, cheap spring except on the G20 in 10mm, cheap sights but this pistol here with AF machining really makes this pistol BETTER THEN ANY STOCK GLOCK. I do like upgraded Glocks. My buddy has a Glock that has a new slide, trigger, barrel the whole pistol has been gone through it doesn't even look like a Glock or feel like a 2×4 and its a great pistol. Glock needs to take care of thier loyal customers. Ive seen hundreds of photos of blown up and cracked Glocks
