In this video, I share the first part of my awesome motorcycle trip to the Peak District with my friend Lillie. We are both passionate bikers and we decided to have a girls biking holiday in this beautiful area of England.
I started our journey from Bolton and rode to the Peak District, which is one of the UK’s most visited national parks, spanning around 555 square miles. We found a lovely place to stay, set up our base and then went for a ride to explore the stunning scenery and roads.
We had a lot of fun and excitement on our bikes, and we also enjoyed the views and the fresh air. We rode on some of the best motorcycle routes in the Peak District.
This was a great start to our motorcycle adventure and we couldn’t wait to see more of the Peak District in the next part.

Its quite amazing how busy the peak district gets with walkers, bikes and cars. Travelled that area many times and like the Dale's and the Lake's it never disappoints, the scenery " up north " is unrivalled.
I’m from Scotland and some of the scenery in this video are amazing, but the A82 Loch Lomond Fort William is the place to be 😊🏴

I live in the Staffordshire Moorlands &I passed my test last year. My first "big ride out" was the Cat & Fiddle road where we filled up at that very petrol station. Fond memories for me
I was born and bred in Leek and escaped for the final time 36 years ago. Wonderful gateway to the Peak District and further though.
I LOVE the Country Cafe in Leek. One of my fave cafes.

We did a road trip to the Lakes last year, after seeing this think that I will do the Peaks this year.
This is a 3 parter and then we have mine and Lillie's Yorkshire trip to come... the Yorkshire trip was something special. 27 degrees and immaculate roads.

I have the same Hornet as you have there even the same colour. I like your comments about how good it is for the shorter user as I have Ducks Disease and find it hard to find a bike I can flat foot. The Hornet is a great allrounder. As for snatchy throttle if you go to the user setting turn the power right up and engine braking right down it goes a long way to getting rid of the snatchyness.
I love when you go on a girls trip, it seams the naughty Kate comes out to play. Can’t believe Laura thought she was riding the 850, with the tank covered with 1250. Two man eaters on the road 😮😂. Stay safe love ❤️ to you both

I camped at Buxton many years ago when i had an old Suzuki GS 550 E, wish we had the weather that you and Lilly had it p#*ed down with thunder and lightning all week. Grim !! 😒 Looking forward to Part 2 .
Well can tell that was not shot recently.... gorgeous weather and sun shine, and when you had hurt your finger that was from a while back... but DAM what a view that was just the best roads and the best views loved that. Looking forward to part 2

Lovely part of the country, grew up there before heading to Yorkshire after 25 years, so many areas to recommend, I have only just started my bike journey but find that you’re videos are really helpful (and entertaining) you’re review of the xsr 125 along with some others helped sway me towards that as my first bike too😊 keep up the good work👍

Death grippers used to orally excite me in between the peaks, but now I just take the rover.

Same colour 1290 as mine, not seen many others about. Have you tried the high peak cafe and bookstore just outside of Buxton? Great place to stop.

What a difference a few days made. Would like to know what day this was filmed as my friend went camping in derbyshire weekend before valentines and woke up on saturday morning and found his car was up to the windows in water. Completely written off. I could follow Lillie all day. Beautiful sight. Took me an hour to get past the walk to the hotel room .

Hey, I can’t imagine you read all these comments! I video recoded my first trip last year to Southern Italy and back, just a quick question, you vocal sound is good, do you use a mic plugged into the media mod or just select the rear facing mic?
hey, i try to read/reply to as many as possible, i use a purple panda mic plugged into the media mod, the only downside is the camera isn't waterproof when you have a media mod on, hopefully your trip was fantastic

12:19 min. Picked up a good remark in another motorcycle video this week: Snappiness might very well be attributed to lean burn engine management. Carbed bikes can however also be prone to it. It’s also about getting acquainted though. An example: My spare NT650GT can be very snappy on the rear end when letting go off the clutch ( the Cush drive rubbers in the rear wheel are probably a goner). Still I have become so used to it that I can now even avoid the jerking under extreme deceleration. Let’s put it this way: One can even see such behaviour as a challenge (within reasonable limits). In the past one had to anyway. 😉

You sat on this one a while. Getting on for a year ago I guess. Anyway good to see someone on a Hornet again as I own one and have had it nearly a year and love it still. It was one of last year's best selling bikes too. Far outselling the GSX8s despite most reviewers preferring the Suzuki. It does make you ride like you stole it though🙄 Not sure how you could be so restrained on it!

It's the Oxford Mondial Mark 1/ V1 jacket. I think they're on Mark 2 now but the Mark 1 is always my go to 😊

@usernamekate curious why you don't use the Forecite helmet camera?
I just hadn't had the chance to try it out before the trip as I'd just got it at that time. When you know and are comfortable with a current set up, it's not worth risking changing something on a trip for it to potentially go wrong. Like sticking with what you know. Plus, I think the quality is better on the go pro, though I'd use it for track footage for sure.

I'm enjoying this trip. It is a lovely area. However, I hope you won't mind mind me saying, I thought it a bit strange that a motorcyclist would call cycling dangerous.
I preferred the look of your meal. Lillie's one was way too healthy for me.
We usually have armour as motorcyclists and don't ride in lycra hence my remark :) wouldn't want to slide in that stuff and they can get up to a right old speed! 😊
From a young child I was terrified of riding a bike and useless at it. Last time I rode one was in my early 20's well over 40 years ago. I also never felt safe in a car as my mind wandered too much so never took a test. Strangely (snow and ice apart) I always felt safest and most comfortable on 2 wheels with an engine in it.
