I thought the quality of your video was brilliant And your commentary exceptionally good. I particularly like how well you explain everything along your way. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't actually been there. Not only is it relaxing to watch, it is also educational. The aerial views and written description tell you everything you need to know. You must spend a lot of time constructing these videos. Well done. I look forward to the next one.
Thank you, such a great comment it’s always good to get some positive feedback. Glad you enjoyed the journey and the vlog. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Hi there great vlog, i was born in Huyton, just out of liverpool in 1941 and went to the docks many times as a kid with mom, often took the ferry across the mersey to New Brighton but it sure did not look like it does now, the Liver Building is all i recognized i guess in 72 years it would change???? thanks for memories. it looks like a nice place to moor up and go to explore the city and its many atractions. A trip through the Mersey tunnel would be interesting. look forward to your next vlog Explore and enjoy your stay in Liverpool.
Edmund Smith - Thanks Edmund, it’s a great city and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Too much to see with just a week though, so may just have to go back!! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Thank you so much for such a marvellous look at this lovely City. I'm many thousands of miles away, way down in the deep South of Australia so I may never get to see the UK let alone visit Liverpool. But through your eyes, I have at least "been" there. Wow! The buildings, the Public spaces, the historical nudging shoulders with the new. Just amazing. Again, many thanks for taking us on a journey of discovery with you.
ilox11 - Thank you, what a great comment, glad we can help you see a bit of the UK great countryside albeit vicariously through our vlogs 😂. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Glad I caught up with this - belatedly - I was there 50 years before you! The 1968 IWA National Rally of Boats was held at the top of the Stanley Dock lock flight and the beer tent was between the first two locks. Some local scallies stole a police dog from there...
Peter Lane - yes I agree, but sadly we didn’t quite get there. A must for next time though. Would love to go again! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
Just watched your launch day at Botany Bay and tour of the boat vlog again....we live about 2 miles from there. I just love the style of your boat. Really enjoy the two of you . You're always welcome to come for a cuppa if you're Chorley way again. Regards Sue ..... 🤔 "Where are we Eileen " 😂👍

Really enjoyed your vlog today and wanted to say that how you formatted the presentation and edited it was a delight. Having never made it up to Liverpool when we lived or visited there (left in 1969 for Canada) it was so informative of the area. Great narrative too-Keep up the good work and we will follow along with you as you journey to places we can only dream about now!

Very interesting. We visited Liverpool by bus from our narrowboat when we moored at Ellesmere Port last month. We had an excellent day out. Next year we may do the Leeds and Liverpool and do the same as you have done in this video.
sallyu1 - Hi 👋 Sally, it’s such a fab trip it should definitely be on your to do list!! We are looking forward to going to Ellesmere Port, the locks going towards Chester we’re closed last year when we were on the Shropshire, so didn’t get up there!! Thanks for watching and commenting!👍
@@ournarrowboatquest4894 there was a tremendous amount of weeds from Chester to Ellsmere Port, some people had to go in the weed hatch 3 times. The basin looked like a green park when we woke up one morning, we were surrounded by bright green little weed plants. It was very strange but it was a great moring spot.
We were down there a couple of months ago, we had a great time. The dock was full of jelly fish. You can also hear your anodes fizzing as they are eaten away by the salt water. If you head into the Maritime museum you can book the old dock tour, its free and takes you into the basement of the shopping centre across the road where the original dock wall is preserved.

Also, the building's roof is a nesting place for kestrels, a bird of prey, so care had to be taken so as not to disturb their nesting habits during the construction of the apartment units.
