I lived in West Derby from the early 90s in sandfield Park, it was beautuful, then I moved to Wales in an equally beautiful place but we still have same problems here as u do there
Bill, use to drink in the Halton Castle early / mid 1990,s and pop in the Hare and Hounds down the road, back when former EFC Player John Bailey would regularly prop the bar up at weekends 🤫🤫🤫🤭🤭🤭
God bless you bill. You are an inspiration to those that still live in the dark. Keep reflecting gods light mate. You never know whos life you will save.
I totally agree he probably saving lives without realising, cos a hell of a lot of ppl suffering mentally and just watching, Billy, Terry, and Joe, always without fail puts a smile on my clock. Should be in tablet form better than any anti depressants.🙏💙👍.
Hi Billy, thanks for your vid. West Derby village looks a really nice place. Tidy and clean. It has really beautiful buildings. As for it being a bit rowdy of an evening, that could be said of most places nowadays. Anyway thanks again Billy. John. 🤔👍
It's a decent neighborhood West Derby village, it's similar to woolton village, lovely homes, bars, restaurants, the downside is you do get gangs from the wider community coming into the area, the same as most places.
Thanks for showing that. I went to school in West Derby (in the 70s and 80s) and remember cross country around the estate. Back then the village was a pretty quiet place to go for a drink. Not been there for about 30 years. How time passes.
I was brought up in WD attending St Mary's primary school in 1966-1970 moving on to WD Comp I still remember as thou it was yesterday, great times when everybody had respect, you wouldn't dare go on croxteth hall estate in fear of being caught by the gamekeeper oh happy days.
Get in to the "Cask micro brewery pub" on the drive just up from the village, great staff, great beer and a graet place, will buy you a bevy Billy next time I come up from Norfolk and drop in. Miss Home.
Hey bro, if tank comes to UK in march who's he going to fight, benn, caterral, Taylor???,,, that place is real nice mate, chilled 🏴 happy healthy peace ✌️
I’ve lived in Liverpool all my life and never had a bevvy in west derby for some reason I was always more up by Kenny way so just went into town but to be honest I think any local area pubs if they don’t know you ya get snarled or they think your a bizzie 😂😁
We both lived in Thailand. Youths here spend two years in the army then one year as a Buddhist monk. Kids here come up to me and shyly ask who I am and where I am from and politely carry on their way. Why did UK kids decide to wreck everything? and bad mouth adults? it is a sad state that western society has got to
I used to live in West Derby not the village though I lived on Deysbrook Estate it's a nice area but I think the rowdiness will come from influx of " trendy" restaurants and their clientele
It's not the places that are good or bad. All places are good. It's the people who make it bad. West Derby was good when it had the pubs but now it's too quiet. The Sefton arms was at one point closed down but it must have quietly opened up again. Is 60 years "young"? Most people are dead by that age.
Chorley? Don’t know what it’s like these days but it used to be rough in the town centre pubs and clubs in the 1980s. You are probably going to say you live in Adlington or Euxton. 😂

Nice shots of west derby village Billy.the problem with rowdiness is not really locals, many people from all around the area head there.

Looks lovely Bill, the buildings are superb 👍😎
Not seen the village in the day light since 86.madness .nice one bill.
West Derby reminds me of the North end Woolton
I grew up on Melwood Drive in the '60's. It really was great back then.
Get in to the "Cask micro brewery pub" on the drive just up from the village, great staff, great beer and a graet place, will buy you a bevy Billy next time I come up from Norfolk and drop in. Miss Home.
He's off the shandy LoL but nice gesture ❤
It’s full of Bell ends now Kidda.
@scousetony8618is that Huyton Jay by any chance.
What about Allerton and Mossley Hill, lots of nice eateries along there? on way to airport
The Halton Castle is a great traditional pub. West Derby is nice, however, you have Croxy, Nogsy, and Hyton within walking distance.
Even Huyton has some nice areas
Always good for a pub crawl there, well it was back in my day.
Looks peaceful 😀
It does, I am surprised it is supposed to be rowdy during the nighttime.
Two-bob land.
The real money fled years ago.
It used to be ok for a drink aswell then the plastic gangsters moved in and ruined it for people. All 10 grand millionaires
@scousetony8618 no mate
Top fella by the way John miller your on about. Check out discount. His first shop
@scousetony8618 agreed mate John only packed in last year from the shop top of woodbine.

Another nice place Billy is knowsley village m8
Sefton arms is the worst. You walk in and you get snarled by men with turkey teeth and skinny jeans.
😂😂
😂😂
