As the daughter of a complicated mother who was an abusive/neglectful person who parentified me I feel this.
It's weird - my mum now has a terminal illness, and while I'm sad (she's the only family I have) and scared of how bad the end will likely be, I think a big part of me will feel peace when she passes.
I wish nothing but the best for Tuesday and hope that she has found her peace and happiness 💗🌸🌺💗

I don' know where all these crazy stories get started. I was alive then, a teenager, and there were NO such stories floating around about Tuesday Weld. She had a rather wholesome image. Do videomakers just make this stuff up?
At 16, she was sort of my 'girl crush" that is, I wanted to be her and look just like her. I can't tell you how many tears I shed because I didn't look exactly like her. lol...
She played on a very wholesome show, "the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" and later in a movie with Elvis, where she later said it was just friendship but she thought she had been in love with him...

Tuesday was Sandra Dee, Brigitte Bardot and Marilyn Monroe. She was beautiful, damaged, and talented. She is a survivor. Tuesday and Drew Barrymore should have a heart to heart. They both survived miserable and abusive childhoods.

She was not a troublemaker. She was made into a troublemaker. The fact that she asked for help at a young age and was refused is not her fault. I agree with you, because I cannot overlook the fact of what she had to go through being the breadwinner and thrust into a life of taking care of her family while still being a child. So unfair. 💐 to her.

I had bad parents and atroubled childhood too, so I understand the shame that cloaked her childhood. It was about 10 years ago, in my early 50s, that my mom's sister mentioned what a "troublesome teenager" I was. I got upset, but now see it clearly. Children need guidance and love, not just clothes and a roof. I hope Tuesday is comfortable and hugs herself daily.

What a strong woman!! Her mother failed her on so many levels and refused to take responsibility for her part in why Tuesday’s emotional health suffered. The men(predators)that she dated were disgusting!! They took advantage of a young girl looking for love and acceptance. The entertainment industry exploited her on top of everything else. She didn’t stand a chance and it’s a blessing that she’s still alive. Tuesday needs to know that she’s loved and appreciated by her fans. She deserves her flowers most definitely and so much more!!💐💐💐

@@kathyschreiber9947 I agree ten thousand per cent. She was one in a million too. I've wanted to show my sons her first appearance as I recall it, on Dobie Gillis. She 's the new girl in school, and I think she stands there and says, "Thalia. ...Menninger." It's so funny and perfect-- everyone is so overwhelmed. Anyway I can't find that scene, but I notice her scenes with DG are super affectionate in an appropriate way that's also charming.

I only realized as a older adult I was bullied, mocked, and object of others jealousy, it's so to write, but I'm blessed to be born again, both children are doctors, 4 beautiful grandbabies, travelled to Israel and Jordan last year, and this July my kids are taking me to Paris and London, first time going to Olympics. Knowing that she started drinking by the age of 10 tells me something terrible was happening or happened to her. She babysat for me when she was 16 because my father was an advertising executive, my parents said her mother was trying to push her on my father to help push her career. My parents thought her mother was a monster and were horrified by her and as I got older and problems with her mother became public they sided with Tuesday Weld and said the Hollywood power brokers dropped her and sided with her mother because they were monsters too. My parents said the few times she did babysit me she adored me and carried me around and I adored her too. I wish I could tell her how I wish we could have done more. When an adult would say I was cute and my dad should put me in commercials my father said he would rather cut off his right arm! Oh Tuesday, it’s almost as if you didn’t stand a chance as everything you seem to have was actually set against you. If only you had a serious mentor. Someone mature & much wiser who genuinely had your best interest in mind and a protective guiding hand .... everything your parents should have been. It’s sooo sad that you didn’t find that protective nature within yourself , but I suppose that would have been expecting a lot considering your age and very unstable foundation from at least the age of four. I strongly believe that deep down you have a beautiful & vulnerable soul and that in the end when it is all over you will have the last laugh and end up blissfully happy in a most devine place and be unaware that this foul mess you’ve left behind ever happened. God be with you, bless you and keep you in his embrace from now on👩🏼‍🔬💔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💞💕🇺🇸

What a human being! That stuff about her as a young actress being dark, mature, etc was just projection. Just as projection works it relieved those doing it of the guilt of what they wanted to do with her and put it on her.

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full with grace.
Wednesday's child has far to go.
Thursday's child is full with woe.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
The child that is born on the Sabbath day, is sweet and kind and good and gay.

Never envy a beautiful woman. Women hate her. Men want her, for all the wrong reasons. She can work harder than anyone and they'll still say any success is due to her looks. And when people can't get a piece of her...they'll rip to shreds in spite. Never envy a beautiful woman. 🌹
Bless you Tuesday. Beautiful and smart, how they hate that. That's why everyone adores the "dumb blonde." You just can't have both...I hope and pray that you have happiness and peace. Thank you, for pouring yourself out in your career, to people who don't deserve the glimpse at your soul...🌹💕💯🔥👍🏽🌹

She has a natural talent and above all a natural sensuality that shows a real person behind the scripts. Trust me, no other starlets, then or now, can outshine Tuesday Weld's persona. She's still a beauty! Hello Tuesday! Thanks for being a part of my life.. Flavious..

She clearly had excellent comedic and dramatic skills; she and Warren Beatty had excellent timing with the material given. It was the responsibility of the Director to have that scene toned down. But it was clearly written in a way that any good actor would have played it the way she and Warren did. She was fabulous!
