750 wheel with minimal mods, someone at gm did something right😍
About 5 years behind the curve. 13/14 GT500 were making 750 rwhp with header/CAI/pulley/tune on pump back in 2013, with a smaller supercharger.
GM really needs to go back to the drawing board with these tired wedge motors.
B C 08 sure, but the GM engine is more reliable and this car performs better on the track 😊
Ankush Dave The GM engine is far less reliable, and it performs well on a track because of chassis and aero.

@@datbenzdoe5157 it has to do with the way the dyno works- its an error or irrelevant. NRE engines does alot of dyno runs on here and he throws those number away in the trash.
@ . I get there can be irregularities but those never made the final numbers and that one did. It's just weird how it ramped that quick right at redline

Push rod motors are still pretty relevant it seems. Im die hard gm and they see the simple is better idea clearly. For the few rpms you get with 10" of width and extra cams. Im not sold untill chevy builds one anyway.

Yep.....this is really a 725 rw pull....not 749... That was obviously a spike at the end of the pull... Not real power... Still killer gains from a tune though. I bet it makes 800 rw with the blower ported/pulley.

If it was wheel spin you’d see a dip. There’s no dip.
Ported blower and pulley numbers gonna be 845 Horsepower 847 torque
With meth and cam should be over 900.
The spike at the end of the run skewed the numbers pretty heavily. No doubt it picked up a considerable amount but that spike jumps from what looks like 715-720ish to 749

I think you guys are 2nd company Hennessy tune their ZR1 I think was Monday 700+ RWHP. So Mr. RPM What do you think It would do with a new pulley?

Rule of thumb, if customer participates has modified or gives opinion, rates go up exponentially. ;D

I realize the wing is functional for a track. I'd remove it for every day driving. You made a lot of power on the module swap - excellent video (who voted it down?). So cool that GM made this car and I'm young enough to dig it. How big is the blower on this car - compared to the Z06?

With how much drivetrain loss do you calculate?
I gotta say this is making me wanna stay with Chevy and do a Vette... Very curious to see what Fran thinks the fuel system can handle and with an added pump is needed like the C7Z and 6th gen Camaro's. Really wanna see this with the blower, cam/heads, headers, meth, pullied and tuned. Very curious if you can get to 1100whp with this car
Did Mike Streetspeed717 have a corsa exhaust on it, when it was on the dyno? Or did he get it after?? I cant remember
I thought that dyno was stock (at RPM) then he added the x-pipe and re-dyno'd almost 700...
He added Corsa after and a Corsa muffler won't pick up anything on these cars.
I bet you guys have been foaming at the mouth to get to finally tear into one of these simply because its something different..but damn a intake,headers,pb , pulley and e..what do think it will make like 950 or 1000...im curious how high they it can go before the stock fuel system runs out..

Saw a couple of ZR-1's at the 1/2 mile in Ocala. Loads of hp but the ones I saw couldn't hook up very well and/or were poorly driven.

FYI, Katech claims they have a ported blower and made a bigger air inlet for the blower for the ZR1. They also mentioned HP tuners came out with the upgraded tune module for the ZR1.They talked about it on there youtube channel earlier this week.
If Katech claims its it's definitely true.
Jerry Blum correct. If you look at the 1013hp LT5 dyno video from January you can see the 103mm throttle body on there and we ported the supercharger to match it. 112mm is coming.

Steve Dean i guess so, something seems off to me though it seems odd that the car made that much with basically just a tune, i thought him would’ve tuned it up a little better yaknow on a count of what it is but i guess we’ll see
Ya if it picked up 90ish at the tire that would be 90ish crank I would think, which is crazy. Dan your comment makes no sense you said it’s odd he picked up so much, then went on to say you thought he would have “tuned it up a little better” which would imply he did not tune it well?
@@KZ-dy1lx 90 would be around 110 to the crank.
1 ya I agree with you on the math if you were to do like a 15% drive train loss, but hear me out. Say at 6500rpm it takes about 100hp to drive the drive train, would freeing up 100hp on the tune equate to any more drivetrain loss, I mean it’s the same drive train reguardless of the power being put out, would it not “consume” the same 100hp at 6500rpm? Or would it “consume” more power now with the tune? I really don’t know, I’m not that smart.
@@KZ-dy1lx the more power you make the more drivetrain loss there is sadly. It wouldnt be a steady 100hp loss for every 100 you add.
