The calm and quiet lifestyle here facilitates introspection (at least it does for me). Perhaps I’m exaggerating, but sometimes it seems to me that living in Finland is a bit like being at a meditation retreat. (I moved here from a very busy place)

That's because it's the true Finnish lifestyle. We used to live in small communities, away from each other. Worship nature and spirits. Every Finn used to be able to recite some spells, some lived as hermits in the wilderness to dedicate their lives to nature and witchcraft. Much of our history has been hidden sadly, and not teached in schools either.

We have a theory in Finland about potatoes. Potatoes are of course potatoes but if you have a mountain of potatoes to peel... do not think about the amount of potatoes you have left to peel but instead start peeling them one by one. You will get to the top of the potatoe mountain faster and with less stress.
    And in finnish...
Meillä suomessa on teoria perunoista (perunankuorimisteoria).

Sometimes a change is good or even necessary. For example staying in a job which causes bad feeling starts sooner or later affect mental health and the only reasonable way to correct the situation is to quit.

Have you learned to be just home alone, with your thoughs? If so - maybe you are turning as a Finn😇
See, I wrote to your short one, - in the middle of snow storm when you complained, about Finnish summer. Now summer turned off switch to on. Hope you have some kind of a air cooler ready? Oh (and a LOT or bug spray*grin*) + tick remover if you are going forest trip. Ticks are especially dangerous, they carry severe viruses.

Hahaha Finland taught me to spend time alone and not self-sabotage myself. Thanks to that lesson, I can be in my company and make humor, to feel better. And also really happy to share the process with you guys here ❤️
