one of the reasons I say Dallas has nothing to do is because it’s so family oriented…as a childless millennial coming from Chicago it doesn’t seem like it’s a lot to do like it is here.
@@EmeEeGeeGee Its not as touristy that's why. Compared to the average city, there is a lot to do and places to go. Uptown, Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville and Bishop Arts are all very vibrant areas. Live music is all over DFW also.
Love your videos! My wife and I moved to Dallas from ATL and love it. Dallas is definitely not your stereotypical Texan feel. That's more so Fort Worth. Love the Uptown and Bryan Place area, very walkable and vibrant. Also, a lot of people from California are moving to Dallas due to tech jobs which is changing the city as well.
Alright... I'll sub ..I've been watching this guy on TH-cam for 6 months... I'm about to make the plans to move the family from Canada to Dallas. Appreciate the consistent videos 💪🏽
I just moved from palo alto california to DFW closer to forney. I appreciate how they are putting effort to growing and i can grow my family here and by the time by kids are teenagers dallas will be evolved so much. Its not all country people have misconceptions and stereotypes. its so chill compared to cities like San Francisco it is so grimy over there and i appreciate the clean streets and feeling of sophistication here. Not only that once you grow your 🍞 you can more finaincial freedom here
This is another great video. One of my biggest concerns is during the stormy weather. I hear about the power grids and citizens don’t have electricity for weeks. Can someone elaborate on that? 🙏🏽
Dallas has a underrated public transportation travels pretty far and you can get back-and-forth from Dallas to Fort Worth with ease just after 10 o’clock the city of Dallas the only time I had a bad experience is when there was heavy tornadoes and it made the train slowed down, but other than that they’re transportation goes far as Addison
I lived in Dallas from 2009-2017 and I had a great time! I got out, met people and networked and always had something to do! Anyone who says there is nothing to do, simply does not want to get out and explore! And this is coming from a NY’er! I’m looking to move back to the Dallas area by 2026!
@ It may be, but I never went to any state and try to compare the entertainment to NYC because there is no comparison. But I’m still able to enjoy the entertainment of whatever city I’m in
all i want are places to eat. I dont really get cities that much, but if its a nice city with many good reasonably priced restaurants, im good. I dont like loud bars or clubs, which is what i assume people expect in cities, otherwise, I have hobbies..
Not at the moment, stuck in Southern California in the fire area. We have to wait until we can see what we can do with the house here etc. it will take sometime.

The only problem is everything is super far. I rode the bus in Houston as well. They built a train, so Houston is trying to catch up when it comes to public transportation, but their bus system is legit is that everything in Houston is super far and it makes everybody late.
I grew up in & lived in Dallas since the late 70's. I moved out of Dallas almost 2 years ago to live in El Paso. Dallas, despite the popular image as portrayed in shows we grew up watching like Dallas with JR Ewing, is not representative of the cowboy culture. It's really never been that. If anything Dallas has more in common with other cities in the Deep South. It's more Southern but it is cosmopolitan & has become very diverse over the years. You could say Ft. Worth is where the cowboy culture begins. But even then, none of the DFW area is part of the Southwestern culture with the cowboy element. You start heading West through Abilene, Midland & Odessa now that's where cowboy culture is. But I will say I was a little surprised when I got to El Paso the Texas drawl or accent isn't really a thing out here. It feels more like New Mexico than being part of Texas. But we have no severe weather here, it's very dry. We only had 5 inches of rain total for all of 2024. While it does get hot in the Summer there is no humidity & I don't miss the humidity at all.
I plain to live the rest of my life in Dallas. Moved here from Michigan 2007. Would like to purchase property in Chicago a later in life. Just made 40.
Traffic is nothing compared to Boston or New York. Dallas traffic is cupcake compared to those two cities. I've driven in the Bronx, Queens New York, and Boston. Dallas has nice wide open roads and plenty of room to maneuver. Traffic in the northeast is very tight and congested. Dallas does have too many toll roads though.
there are alot of cold states that the cost of living is similar or higher. Im in the northeast. we only get a few 90 degree days, and those days im out running taking in some sunlight for once. There are many cold states, or more humid states, states like tn that get less sun and are mostly overcast etc. Cali is out of question, texas seems just fine. I love tex mex type food. I love heat. What i worry about are allergies....and maybe mold issues in housing but i honestly dont know if it can be much worse than any other state when it comes to mold, aslong as someone dehumidifies their house.

Fort Worth better than Dallas and will always be 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
People who say theres nothing to do, just don't wanna drive more than 20 minutes.
Are the people more chill than NYC

Good one, Marq. People come here expecting to pay the low low, but that Instagram stuff isn't real. Luckily, we have a lot of options here.
Im from DC and Dallas is definitely more affordable. But Dallas is expensive though. I rather be in Dallas anyday over DC.

@ Houston would have more. Dallas entertainment is for families. It’s rare to find any fun here without kids.

I like the Frisco, Texas surrounding areas. Think it will be next spot to live.
Those areas are blowing up. We were just up there in Celina a Cambridge crossing for a client! You plan on buying?

I’m from Atlanta and he is spot on with horrible traffic. I trust him and he’s a great realtor to have. He is my first pick when I purchase a home.
Very hot summers, 2%+ property tax, MUD, PID & high HOA...... Just don't understand the influx. What am I missing?
