You have a fun persona 😁 And these 💯 Facts. I’m in Seattle, WA, and just returned last night from seeing Texas, including Houston, to learn what all the boom is about. And, Sweet Jesus, the complicated freeways and traffic! How do folks memorize getting anywhere without relying on maps apps??? If I needed to pull over into a coffee shop or a store real quick to use a restroom because of drinking lots of water, it was a long time of holding it in baby [tightly cross legged emoji] Blinked and missed the exits because people either going 80miles an hour through town (not exaggerating) or crawling in rush hour traffic! However…the positive is Texans were real welcoming, cheerful and hospitable ❤️ It’s the sunshine that Seattle doesn’t have ☀️

I lived in Houston in the 2000s and it has gotten so much better. It improved so much I considered moving back to Houston. The stuff ya'll have now I wish we had. And downtown has underground tunnels due to the heat with restaurants and stuff so people spend time down there. Houston has it cons but the more affordable cost of living, FOOD, the skylines, and Louisiana-Texas blended culture I miss.

Oh, he really said Houston is flat with no scenery,As if he's coming from some mountainous paradise of the West Coast or something? Meanwhile, Florida’s not just flat, it’s boring-outside of its manufactured limestone, beaches, there’s not much to look at.At least in Houston, if you want some elevation, a quick 3-hour drive gets you to the Hill Country, Big Bend, or the Guadalupe Mountains, with a peak of 8,751 feet. Florida’s tallest point? A whopping 345 feet. Right. A real punchline. And just a tip: don’t talk about flatness when you’re comparing your swampy state to the greatness of Texas-especially Houston!!!

@@rondas7772 Right, And I never denied Houston as being flat, I just merely pointed out that Florida, which is barely 100 feet above sea level, is equally flat and kind of boring-beyond the beaches, there’s not much scenery there. Now Hawaii, however, has it all: stunning beaches, mountain peaks, rainforests, extinct volcanoes, lava fields, and rugged cliffs. So, what exactly was your point?

The freeway comment and missing your exit wasn’t true until a few years ago after they reconfigured the highways. Once upon a time, if you missed an exit, you could just catch the next one and it wouldn’t delay you by much. I’ve lived here for 52 years and have tried to live a short distance from my workplace and within a 20 minute drive from friends and family. Now, I just don’t visit because of the traffic and not wanting to get in the highway anymore.
Downtown is a lot more active than it used to be 20 years ago. It really was a ghost town at night back in the day. It’s not hustling and bustling like many other major cities and their downtowns, but it is miles above where it used to be.
Westheimer isn’t that bad outside the loop. I live near Westheimer and it really isn’t that bad on the Galleria side heading west.
All the rest is accurate. So just don’t move here because we are at capacity and the more people who live here, some of the stuff on this list will only get more unbearable

Freeway etiquette is different in Houston than any other city. “Let it go” will be your new phrase to get by the insanity of it.
Also, most of what this video describes is staying close to downtown. The suburb sections of Houston are a bit different.
Some parts of Downtown are vibrant. The club area is where you’ll find the most people.

Why is Houston lagging so far behind Dallas when it comes to rail infrastructure ? Obviously, the Texas leadership favors Dallas. Houston is so much larger by 1 million people and desperately needs more metro rail and commuter/ regional rail. The lack of connectivity is killing Houston . It’s hard to attract new cooperations when they see they do not have alternatives to driving. Dallas gets it! It’s so backwards that they are still widening freeways but will not dedicate 2 of those lanes for rail. If you build it , the people will come( at least the non natives will) Good luck Houston!

While Florida certainly boasts some lovely beaches, it seems to come with its fair share of drawbacks that many tend to overlook. Sure, the sunshine state draws people in, but it’s also attracting sharks, jellyfish, water toxins, and erosion-the very factors contributing to the rising sea levels in places like Miami, which is only 6 feet above sea level and sinking at an alarming rate. The collapse of Champlain Towers in 2021? That was a direct result of this environmental instability. And let’s not forget the destruction left by Hurricane Milton or the persistent alligator problem Florida has to deal with.
Yes, Florida has its sunny side, but as they say, no sunshine comes without the rain. The state’s coastal areas may be beautiful, but the risks that come with them-environmentally and in terms of wildlife-are hard to ignore.
Now, on to the great state of Texas. People love to take jabs at Galveston beaches, but what many don’t realize is that there are times of the year when the waters turn a stunning aquatic blue, reminiscent of the beaches in California. Plus, folks fail to realize tht the gulf in Florida is the same one thts in Texas,The only difference is Florida managed to avoid the muddy waters of the Mississippi River, while Texas wasn’t as fortunate. But even with that, Texas beaches still boost a distinct charm.
However,If you think Galveston beach aren’t scenic during the day, you should see them at night when Pleasure Pier lights up the sky-it’s like its own skyline right on the Beachfront that Florida just doesn’t have any answers for. And while Florida may have the beach game on lock, it doesn’t even come close to the breathtaking spring-fed rivers, lakes, and lagoons we have here in Texas. Hamilton Pool Preserve alone? Makes any Florida beach look like a joke. Then there’s Jacob’s Well, the Frio River, the Devil’s River, Chalk Bluff, Barton Springs, Balmorhea State Park-you name it. Texas has a diverse range of natural untouched beauty that Florida can’t even begin to compete with!!!
