Maldini is such a fucking legend, even in front of all time greats like Henry. The respect Titi has. It shows how big Maldini was and is
Bro Maldini is the GOAT defender
Mf played 25 years with prime Milan
The young Manchester United CR7 who was super skilled struggled to get pass 36 years old Maldini. Tells you everything
Asalmualikum y u call him titi
@@DZUP2023 what colour is your spaghetti
To be fair as brilliant as Henry was and he absolutely was, Maldini is on an even higher pedestal among the footballing greats. He’s genuinely considered one of the best defenders to have played the game so I’m not suspended at the awe. But it’s a nice touch from Henry indeed.
Thierry Henry being scared and star-struck by you has to be one of the biggest flexes in history
For Maldini? Nah, Maradona said the same stuff about him, Baggio, Totti, R9 and others.
@@francisdrake7060true but Imagine the necessity to putting the likes of R9 and Maradona against you tho
@@herlingaaland r9 said in my orime my nightmare was milan when i use to play striker maldini use to switch to cb to hold me and he was toughest i ever faced
Of couse henry star struck at that time because he only 20 i think..and maldini already legend
Clown stop its maldini the fact he is maldini biggest flex ever
Henry acting like a complete fanboy is too cute.

In France we hated la squaddra azzura, but nobody hated Paolo Maldini, too much respect for everything he represented
Maldini was not the only legend, Cannavaro, Pirlo, Totti, Del Piero, Buffon lots of my french friends loved them, they were opponents, not enemies.
maldini , cafu , zanetti all brilliant defender and leader . none can hate them 😁👍🏻
@@francisdrake7060as a french guy i confirm that. The only italian player we truly hate is materazzi i think you know why😂
@@francisdrake7060it's a rivalry, it has always been there between Italy and France and will always be there. We had some veeeery important showdown where you won and some where we won, it's a classic of international football and will always be. And this rivalry does not stop there, our countries are very similar and both specialize in the same things so it's just natural that we are "frenemies".
@@selimguehria9832 as italian i can tell you most of us( me included )hate Materazzi as well, besides inter supporter every one else in Italy think he is as we say Figlio di troia (son of a .....) 😂😂
Maldini is arguably the greatest defender of all time. Even R9 once said that the most difficult defender he has gone against is Maldini. Maldini was the whole package in an era of football that was the most enjoyable and competitive, an amazing defender, and a great captain
Cannavaro
Ofcourse respect but ive seen R9 making nest and maldine two of defence all time greats look like fools not to mention nutmeg fiesta
Unarguably greatest
Maldini best of the best defender..from barca fans
Baresi and Maldini
Greatness recognises greatness
Must be why I didn't recognise Maldini...never seen him without hair

The early 2000s were a great time for football, legendary players, R9, Maldini, prime Thiery, Zidane, Figo, the great Portugal team. Just great times.
What great Portugal team 😬
@@chrisg750 maniche, Ronaldo, Figo, Deco ....shall I go on?
@hcAdonis yes go on lol they won nothing
@chrisg750 you said winnng, I didn't say the "all conquering" Portugal side, u said winning , you chose to think winning because u must be butthurt in some way.
@hcAdonis you said the great portugal team as if they were a legendary team that won a few world cups or titles lol. You can say that "Great Brazilian team of 2002" for example and that would Make sense
There are two players that everyone admired and loved no matter what team they supported were R9 & Maldini. Maldini was just a beast and made defending an art.
R9 switched teams a lot though. Going to rivals will definitely earn some haters
@@baka6249 I don't think so, I have been a Barcelona Fan my whole life and although he played for us as well I never resented him for playing for our biggest rival and I know a lot of Milan & Inter Fans who always had the greatest respect for him.

For me the GOAT defender, he literally played from the last few years of Maradona at Napoli to the beginning of Messi's prime at Barcelona...absolute legend of the game and model footballer.
He actually started playing only 5 months after Maradona joined Napoli so basically Maradona’s whole Napoli career (and rest of it), R9’s era and then start of messi/cr7.
Only Maldini tell to Gattuso to shut up 😎
Best defender i ever seen so far. Legend
Fabio Cannavaro enters the conversation 😊
Maldini is top class. Best defender ever, he has everything. And also the mf looks like a movie star, like if he wasn't already gifted god damn!
That era was full of legends and personalities . Right now football just isn't same
I love how humble he is
Maldini 's the fkin goat man imagine being such a beast on the pitch destroying almost every attacker you faced and then being such humble in real life outside football what a legend
Maldini, Nesta and Baresi is the type of defender that emitted that kind of aura, striking fear into any forwards during their playing career. No current defender have that kind of trait not even sergio ramos, thiago silva, van djik, de ligt, chiellini, varane etc.
@@NoRacismxcannavaro also but beackenbaur different defender.he not pure defender.he always focas in offinsive
When Henry is starstruck from a player, you know you are talking about one of the greatest. Maldini is the definition of greatness.
That is how legends compliment each other ! 🔥
The greatest defender in the history of Football, Maldini!!! What a giant of a footballer he was.
That was a slight dig at Carragher for always mentioning his win against Milan in 2005 whenever he speaks to Milan players😂😂😂😂
I am not sure why Jamie keeps mentioning it as Maldini and Milan got their revenge against Liverpool in 2007..
@vb2388 after that maldini teased him by saying, "I only won the champions league 5x and lost 3x"
@@vb2388it's because no matter who you support 2005 is always more memorable. Proper underdog story fightback. In 2007, I'd argue Liverpool played better but couldn't find the net.
Thierry is a legend. So glad he’s a pundit cause he’s one of the best.
Not only Maldini was the best defender of his generation (and arguably the best ever alongside Beckenbauer and Baresi), but being the best defender in an era, were football was probably at its most defensive (90s football was a nightmare for strikers), is extra special.
The way Thierry just turns away and cowers looks like a child who's had to pluck up every ounce of courage just to say hello. 😊
I’m 31 and didn’t watch much European football growing up, but I do remember as a kid, every time Maldini appeared on screen, you could hear every woman within a 10 mile radius creaming their pants 😂

Henry is a true legend . He knows the greats . Maldini , Messi and zizou he idolises them so much like us as a fan . Maldini done his apprenticeship along side Baresi then along came cannavaro. The best back 3 you could assemble
Maldini scared me, and i never met the man.
The fact that Maldini never saw a Red in his career speaks for himself

@@myownlilbubble his tackling would have stood the test of time well, he rarely fouled, and even rarer in a reckless or hard way

Maldini makes any back four as a central defender or fullback. Pure class
Even Titi knows what time it is with Maldini . The best left back / Centre back I’ve ever seen play . He weren’t from this world , he was from another planet !!
Damn you can feel the respect they have for each other
Maldini Nesta Stam Cafu as back 4 is the closest to perfection you can get.
Bro, this is so wholesome. Henry is still a fan boy.
Great to see two great players show so much respect for each other. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Maldini and nesta are the two eff GOAT back then. They were like a giant wall for strikers to get thru.

@@justaregularguyb6258yet they pocketed r9 lol
The humility of Maldini in admitting he was also not happy when Thierry played against him on his side.
What a player and what a leader. He never even use to make a tackle He just knew to be in the right place at the right time. And nobody will ever wear the number 3 ever again.
It's weird that Maldini speak a better English than Henry 🤣🤣🤣
Having an accent and not being able to speak in English are not the same thing
There is nothing wrong with henry's english
Two absolute footballing gods showing humble respect for eachother ❤

Sportsmanship is just the best
Imo possibly the greatest CB of all time. And Nesta along with Baresi up there too. But maldini just had it all.
Football was at its peak from 1997 till 2009. Those 12 years had everything. Prime Henry, R9, Maldini, Pirlo, Zidane, Xavi, Puyol, Nesta, Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham, Pep's Barca, Prime Milan, Porto and Greece's underdog stories, Madrid's UCL title, Liverpool'd Istanbul comeback, prime Brazil, Messi and Ronaldo's Ballon Dors, Luis Figo, Ronaldinho, France's WC, Italy's WC, Spain's Euro, United's treble. Those 12 years arguably defined football
Love both, Titi has always been my favorite player and still is
Maldini is one of my favorite players of all time. Because of his pure skill level AND he was always a freaking gentleman on and off the pitch.
What a gracious answer from Maldini:)
Beautiful.
These are legends!
2 icons face to face in the face of humility! God bless u guys w looong life peace and happiness
What a legends! The best defender in Italy history and the best winger in France history! Truly respect, what a genius ❤
An absolute master of the game, you can probably count on one hand how many players in the history of the sport achieved his level.
Maldini is my left back GOAT🔥 I respect all the strikers EVER, Pele, Hugo Sanchez, Shearer, etc, but the PREMIER LEAGUE HAS AND WILL NEVER SEE THE LIKES OF THIERRY HENRY EVER AGAIN. He was the complete striker. Power, pace, elegance, finesse, and also smart, held the ball when he needed and created assists. THE BEST🙏🏼👑
Respect between two legends
What an amazing soul!!!❤ Paulo Maldini, what a player, what a character.. just like his father Cesare Maldini.. some people are truly blessed. #Gratitude
What says it all is the fact you already know Henry is talking about Maldini before you see him respond ❤
Maldini is in everyone's All Time Starting XI.
Can't hate this two❤ arguably the greatest in their position
2 Legends showing respect to one another ❤🙏🏻
Easily one greatest players ever Maldini no question and some class there from Titi to admit he was scared. As most modern men wouldn’t admit that.
Maldini!!! That guy was a wall. If he misses the ball, he didn't miss the leg.
Maldini was a top choice for me when I played PS1 and PS2 back in the day.
when Thierry says that he was scared by a player, you know that player was world class
Paulo Maldini was like a Rock of Gilberata in the then AC Milan defence.
He is a Milan legend that strikers dreaded.
Now the class of defenders is no more, zanetti, Cordoba, zambrotta, Thursm, stamp, cafu, Maldini, Nesta, lahm ,Puyol , Marquez, lauren, campbell, Toni, etc ..the reason why attackers score 40+ is possible now a days
I think it's more to do with modern rules. Defenders gets penalised if they so much as breathe on an attacking player. Every defender is afraid of making a tackle in the penalty area because they know the opposite player will go down from the barest of touches. I think even the legendary defenders you mentioned above will struggle in today's game. Conversely the top strikers from today's game would probably get half their goal tallies in the 90s-00s era.
@@Duckiman yepp +1 bro .. VAR to add more mysery
There's still plenty of great defenders today like Trent, Stones , Shaw , De Ligt, Van Dijk , Varane.
😂💀
Defenders are living in hell with VAR. Now woth rumoured off side rules it’s getting even worse.
Maldini played with Maradona,r9,Ronaldinho,zidane,cruyff,Henry,ronaldo and literally everyone else
Remember there were two dynasty pairings Maldini was a part of, his pairing with Franco Baresi and then his pairing with Alessandro Nesta. Even at his old age, he was consistently one of the best defenders in football not because of his athleticism but because of his timing and precise technique with tackles.
Two legends showing respect and being vulnerable. That makes them legends!
I never knew Maldini could speak English so well, he even has a slight british accent when he speaks. I aint going to lie, I'm a straight man, but Maldini could have easily been some kinda male model.
Being the goalkeeper behind maldini back then used to be the easiest job!
Two legends acknowledging each other - 👏
Maldini at 37 is still better than Prime Maguire 💪💪
Maguire never had prime.
What a classy gentleman Henry is! ⭐
How is Maldini such a humble lil guy in this interview, and an absolute monster back in the day on pitch
Both have respects for each other. What a legends they are
Wow, that's a big praise, coming from a legend like Maldini that he used to be scared of Henry and vice versa.. Damn
The conclusion is they scared each other
I knew he was Talking to Maldini!
Also, that guy aged like a fine wine, typical Italian.
I was so heartbroken when Dibiagio missed that penalty. Such a good team they were in 98- Vieri, R Baggio, Del Piero, D Baggio, Maldini, Panucci.
respect for both of these legends...
The day Maldini and his boys didn't let Cristiano play, the day I truly realized his greatness, I mean the Ronaldo who used to make defenders of PL dance here and there, was helpless infront of them👏🙏
No comparision between PL defenders and Italian defenders like Maldini, Baresi
Maldini is definitely in the top 5 greatest defenders of all time, the guy knew how to defend and he loved it. Legend.
