    Just an fyi polycrylic puts off toxic fumes! Try earth safe finishes preserver/sealer

    • @heavenandlimes
      @heavenandlimes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Polycrylic has a water-based formula, so it's more environmentally friendly-it cleans up easily with soap and water and its VOC (volatile organic compound) levels are much lower, so it doesn't emit the noxious fumes of solvent-based finishes. (Manufacturers still recommend adequate ventilation when using any finish :)

    • @heavenandlimes

      You don’t need to seal the outside if you don’t want to, however the inside you must.

    • @heavenandlimes
      @heavenandlimes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure what you mean by “waxing the containers”, however, you’ll need to seal the inside of your container with polycrylic to ensure that the wax from the candle doesn’t seep through and ruin your vessel.

    • @heavenandlimes

      Hi there! Thank You for your questions. I personally haven’t tried this, but a lot of people swear by it. This should help with the holes..
      a.co/d/frIdmRn
      What you do is, once you have your cement mixed, all you do is set it on top of the vibrating machine and the bubbles should start to pop, once you set it to the settings that make you comfortable.. hope this helps ☺️

      Vai precisar do seu cimento, estou a usar "cimento tudo" nesta receita, não uso medidas específicas. Em vez disso, medo a olho nu. Para os moldes que vê no vídeo, creio ter utilizado cerca de 1-2 chávenas de cimento, e cerca de 1/4 chávena de dióxido de titânio com cerca de 1/2 chávena de água, misture até obter uma consistência de massa de bolo, misture bem, evite os grumos. Se precisar de mais dióxido de titânio, adicione-o, se precisar de mais água, adicione-o. A ideia é obter a sua cor branca com uma consistência de cimento suave.

    • @heavenandlimes
      @heavenandlimes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 👋
      So the first thing to consider is your concrete. Are you using Cement All? Second, insure that you are not over filling, next be sure that your concrete consistency is not too thick or else it will be heavy and cause the mold to be “wonky”
      allow your vessel to set anywhere between 4-24 hours.
      Let me know if this works ✨

    • @heavenandlimes
      @heavenandlimes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no. How long did you wait before de molding? Cement all is excellent for this project, super solid. I don’t have a link with measurements or anything since this information will vary depending on your mold quantities etc. All I did was mix my water and cement mixture until I got a pancake consistency a little bit on the thicker side, but not too much, mixed until my hands hurt, then mix some more. Poured into my molds, and literally waited until the next day to de mold. Hope this helps a little. Try again! You got this!

    • @heavenandlimes
      @heavenandlimes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The decision on when to use a double wick is more of a personal choice. We have known candle makers to use double wicks in smaller diameter candles and others that prefer a single wick in a larger diameter candle. Testing is the only way to determine which wick choice (single or double wicking) is best for a particular application and will achieve optimal burning characteristics.
      In this case, testing has been successful using the method demonstrated in my video.
