As far as the tune, if it was a canned Diablosport tune, there is no issue with what you described. More than likely, it was a CMR tune to where the designated tuner made an adjustment that made it do this. 10k isn't too much for a 6.0 GTO with 35k and a clean interior it sat outside that is why the paint is rough but it is priced a good 5-10 grand less than a clean one with the same miles that is more than enough for a super nice paint job. The clear coat peeling on these GTO's is horrible. No matter how you care for them the clear coat will start peeling eventually, over time. Mine is a 2004, bought new, that I cared for and waxed 5-6 times a year. Even with all that cleaning and waxing, in the last year or so the gas tank and rear trunk went from great condition to awful, with clear coat peeling. IMO the only real solution to this is a repaint or a wrap. The paint from Holden SUCKS!
I love my GTO and I will never sell it no matter how much gas it drinks. Buy it and invest in the minor and major qwerks these cars have and you have s nice rare muscle car. Someday it will be worth a lot like the JZ 2 Supra of the nineties
U should slap yourself for saying something IDIOTIC like that a stupra is a UGLY Piece Of SHIT toyota GARBAGE people are Very STUPID & DUMB for paying a lot of money for a piece of SHIT toyota stupra that is good for nothing else but being drove into a river or to a junkyard where anything that toyota makes belongs
It's not going to gain worth like the supra because it wasn't in any movies. And it's just not loud and shouty enough to be in any movies. Just a few months after getting my 05, Someone told me its value was about to shoot up because he saw one in the preview for the F,F 8 movie. I was fit to be tied. I was stomping around the hangar for the next 2 hours, I was so mad. I wanted this car because it was understated and most people woldn't even recognize it or know what it had in it. I like it because it's the Meg Griffin of muscle cars. Then I learned the car he saw was actually a newer BMW, and all was right with the world again.
Peter Lee you guys still have some fast cars though..... right?.... thanks for watching.... when gas goes back up here like it did in 2007 it will drive the v8 prices down for sure
Under-rated factory claim horsepower.. gm has had ls1 engines about 30 horsepower short of dyno test of stock motor. I believe torque is under too.. of actual power.
AF- Get a GTO if you want the best performance vehicle, and something that isn't a dime a dozen. Get the challenger if you want a trunk, and want to turn more heads. Forget about that other stuff you mentioned.
Anytime you buy a chrysler product, you automatically get a lifetime of electrical issues free of charge (wanted or not). Chrysler has not made a reliable vehicle since before Lee Iacocca.

Rich H- The gto's styling is just sensible instead of radical. That's what I like about it. It's classy. It actually derives from a luxury European sedan platform. The gto is a 2 door Opel Omega (Google image it). The Opel Omega sedan was imported to the u.s. in the late 90s and badged as a Cadillac (Catera). The Gto even shares some parts with the German imported Cadillac Catera. That's why the gto has a more upscale feel than most American cars of its time, and a comfy usable back seat. It has way more in common with the older BMW M coupes than it does a sunfire, Celica, or cavalier (style wise & power/drive train wise). Don't be silly.
It definitely doesn't look like a muscle car, but as someone who owned one I can promise it runs like one. Mine was an 04 with just the 350 hp and 365lb ft of torque, but it would move when I wanted it to, and was a bit of a sleeper because alot of people didnt realize it had an ls1 corvette engine under the hood

No way, been a salesman for years and just sold an 2006 with 58k miles in great shape 6.0l stick shift, leather for 8999$ clean title. I would have bought it but don't want a red one and didnt know how to wet sand at that time.
@@markdelamotte9656 well you got screwed on commission. Today that car is over 20k
Is it worth buying a 05 with 56k miles for 15k?
Yes depending on condition.
Got an 06 with 3,700 miles on it.
THEY ARE AN AWESOME CAR. ENJOY IT/ THANKS FOR WATCHING
Pretty good shape??????? Sun baked AF
Paul Cerio yup wish the guy would sell it reasonably. Oh well . Thanks for watching
It doesn’t need paint. It just needs a good paint correction. I do them all the time for people.
Sweet . Save people tons of money verse painting it. Thanks for watching my channel
@An_Auto _Addiction do you know if this is for sale
Mohamed Kazan I haven’t heard from the owner in a while now.
Karl Smith sounds like you been smoked by a Supra 😂😂 them machines will dust anything
Is it sold? I’m in Florida. I’d like more info??? How do I message you?
Martin Pilat I will call the owner and let you know . Thanks for watching
Going tp buy one this weekend 😊
Congrats
Short answer yes, why? because they're rare and reliable
agreed
Wow low mileage but horrible paint, my 2000 C5 has a way better paint but I'll definitely buy one. silver looks way cooler.
Raul Cortez your C5 does look good. Thanks for watching my channel. I appreciate ya
Yes.
You can tell the guy doesn't care for his car
KamronLsx for sure it just baked in the FL sun for 13 years. Thanks for checking in I appreciate it
He's a pos doesn't deserve a damn car I hope too god he doesnt own a animal
35 gallons 4 i2 dolls In Uk That 35 Gallons at 7 Pounds a Gallon .U Work it out What We Pay Thats Y we don't have V8s ?
Peter Lee you guys still have some fast cars though..... right?.... thanks for watching.... when gas goes back up here like it did in 2007 it will drive the v8 prices down for sure
What about Aston Martin?
Im looking at a 2006 GTO It needs an engine but the guy wants 6900 for it i think thats too much money
Karl Smith too much.
Karl Smith how many miles and what is the condition of the rest of the car a mint GTO with low miles will sell for 12-15.
Under-rated factory claim horsepower.. gm has had ls1 engines about 30 horsepower short of dyno test of stock motor. I believe torque is under too.. of actual power.
Oh shit he put gas in his tank
Bruh it’s a commodore with a badge swap
dude im gettin somin new with tax return and money saved .my options are 03-09 hemi charger/chrysler300,or gto,or dakota rt
Awesome man keep me posted, thanks for the support.
AF- Get a GTO if you want the best performance vehicle, and something that isn't a dime a dozen. Get the challenger if you want a trunk, and want to turn more heads. Forget about that other stuff you mentioned.
BOONIQUE thanks for watching
GTO does not disappoint
Anytime you buy a chrysler product, you automatically get a lifetime of electrical issues free of charge (wanted or not). Chrysler has not made a reliable vehicle since before Lee Iacocca.
I’m about to purchase one with 20k miles on it for $2k from a dumbass college kid it’s in great condition all the way down to the paint job.
Lmao did you steal it from him yet?
Help me too good to be true
@@ludens1526 damnnn homie that sucks
$3 grand
I'd rather have a classic GTO over a new GTO. I once had a 1969 GTO convertible.
Larry Launstein Jr I also like the classic GTO. Never got to drive one but would like to one day. Thanks for watching my channel
I'd rather have the newer
@@an_auto_addiction5742, what I didn't like about the newer GTO was that it didn't look like a GTO.
They are sure ain't worth 20 grand and up, I would rather take 2010 or newer Camaro SS for that same exact price with less miles
They are worth 20 grand and up but no more than 30. Has to be ultra low mileage though.
Need for speed underground

Fuck i see all that clear coat peel. Fuckin RIP! I'm in the process of getting a FULL ON respray done to my car. Fuckin worth it though gm clear was TRASH
Nope. Never buying one ever again...
Hot air intake big mistake with those
thanks for the advice, thanks for watching the channel
I dont believe the mileage on that thing. It looks like that thing is beat on the outside.
Patrick Rafferty dude I know but the guy bought it at the dealer new and just let it sit in the sun and bake. Good powertrain. 😂. Thanks for watching
If you let a red car sit outside it is gonna look rough especially 15 years old regardless of the milage that just means it wasnt driven dont mean it wasnt neglected lol
Did he ever sell it
fahim black haven’t seen him in a while so I’m not sure. Thanks for watching my channel
U do have a way to contact him I’m in Florida and been looking around for one with lower miles
@@fahimblack3925 what part of Florida you are?? Down here in Miami there are some of these for sale

I want to buy this 2004 original version (sadly that means auto transmission) because it is pretty rare. It is obviously fun to drive but the original is low price (the one I am eyeing is) but the auto is a setback. Minor enough of one, though, to where getting an original 2004 GTO is worth it.
Trombone Triceratops sweet man. Stay tuned a guy I work with has a 04 manual and when it is nice out I’m going to do a video on it. Thanks for watching my channel
@@an_auto_addiction5742 Your channel rocks! The original has both exhaust pipes all the way on the left and no hood scoops. It sells usually for over 15K but I found one for less in good condition.
Trombone Triceratops I appreciate your support. Sometimes it is hard to keep filming then get an awesome comment from a viewer like this. Means a lot. Thanks 🙏
The automatics are actually faster stock and easier to mod to make much faster than the 6 speeds. Why do you think most drag racers have automatics? lol
Nice.. don't hear much on em.
ABIam? ImAB! For sure. Seems to be less and less on the road
@@an_auto_addiction5742 True, that why they stand out if seen.
Of course it’s worth it if you like to consistently fix ur car lol! Jk I love mine. Check out some of my videos. Thanks in advanced
That thing is in terrible condition. It needs paint work etc.
DrawTimeInc yup. That’s why I didn’t buy it. Wanted to because of the mileage but the guy wanted 10k . I was thinking 5to6 tops. Thanks for watching
@@an_auto_addiction5742 10k? Heck no. He's definitely dreaming. He wont see it with all those condition issues you can get a really nice clean one for not much more money.
2005 Gto are 5.7 and with 350 hp the 2006 Gto are the 6.0 with 400 hp
thats incorrect.
2004 Gto 5.7 liter LS1
2005-2006 6.0 LS 2 engine
Do this car a favor: take it off life support and let it join the other Tin Indians in their demise.
This car is beat to shit
Why did they make them so ugly...
bluegreensubmarine I wish they would of made them a little more retro like the Camaro that would have been awesome
🐐 = ugly honda
I don’t really like mine. Lol
Dillan Phillips 🤷♂️🤣🤣 thanks for watching my channel
Dillan Phillips 🤷♂️🤣🤣 thanks for watching my channel
I like pontiacs but this car does not looks like a muscle car? more like a cross between a Celica and a Sunfire??? 🤔 Lol. 😂
Rich H yeah Pontiac could of made it a little more retro like the mustang around that time. But I guess it’s because they outsourced it. Lo😃. Thanks for watching 👍
BOONIQUE it does have some room in the interior and comfy to drive. I wish I could of bought this one for the right price and saved it . Returning it to its former glory. Have a great day
Rich H- The gto's styling is just sensible instead of radical.
Is this the most important thing?!.... :) I think things like hp, torque car suspension gear ratio... are more important.
It’s dealer he put cheap gas in it
I bet they want too much for it too
