Post-Kalki, you begin to wonder why Indian cinema, particularly Bollywood, never bothered to make films based on our epics and puranas. It is very strange given that these are stories that even people in the remotest villages have some awareness of. Why did they let such a massive opportunity to entertain and inform slip through their fingers for more than a hundred years of cinematic history? So many love stories, "socials", and eventually action movies with the rise of Amitabh, but never venturing beyond that.

I dont know how director can take the criticism about Karna in a positive manner? he should've researched a lot more before being hyped by Krishna in such a manner as it is all BS, not there in Vyasa Bharatham.

First of all, there is no true version of vyas mahabharat. All are translations into modern Sanskrit or other languages. Everyone thinks ghorakpur press mahabharat is the true one, but even it is a translation and many things were cut out. And similarly there are many versions of Mahabharata, and in most of the versions it is there...

There are people who can recite all the 100,000 slokas of MahaBharat for generations. With your pea-sized brain, you can't even remember 1 sloka.

There was a 3rd grade Telugu movie "Dana Veera Sura Karna" made few decades ago, written by a commie Kondaviti Venkata Kavi. The director just read that script & decided the character of Karna... 😂
And he shouldn’t have done that.
Cause many of gurus have shown the errors of the movie manipulations ( unlike Tamil, where Periyar vaad seeped in deep )

@@ChidVanhi karna is never said to be a noble warrior either by nagi or ved vyas or in any other film but every version says he is a complex character who has tremendous capability with insecurity, and wickedness combined by insults but can't a character have redemption seriously
