As we all know, the South Indian film industry is producing many great directors nowadays, such as Nag Ashwin, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rajamouli, Prashanth Neel, and many more. @@UnfollowthemNo bahubali is the reason for today's south indian movie domination. Robo is good film but it did'nt impacted as much has bahubali. Bahubali 1&2 ,RRR ,pushpa,kalki,saaho ,kgf1&2 etc these type of movies can never be expected from bollywood apart from brahmastra which slightly better than other recent bollywood shits.
Biggest problem with Bollywood is that the major players here are completely of Western Mindset & therefore their films and their lead actors too are completely westernized. South movies & stars are connected to their roots that's why MAJORITY of Indians find South movies & actors relatable.
And the second reason is wokeness
The biggest problem with bollywood is that it had become too mainstream. It's not only directors or creators fault it's the fault of the audience including the south audience. Where were people blaming bollywood when movies like maidaan or chandu champion was made this year. And also just bcs u make relatable characters doesn't make it great cinema many movies of anurag kashyap aren't made of relatable characters also they are dark hence it fails in box office but that doesn't mean it's not great cinema. The thing is instead of ranting against bollywood if people support good movies coming out of it more producers will invest in it. I am a south indian myself but I do feel bad when such amazing movies fail!! (By the way even if u have western mindset u can still make great movie but it shouldn't be to mint money but to tell a good story for example mard ko dard nahin hota has a Tarantino type of humour and is westernized but it aims to uses to its benefit instead of half baking it like others do)

1 and only 1 reason why South triumphs - Respect your technicians. While south stars have a huge fan base, many in north don't know that many technicians are also well adored and respected by common film watchers there. Most of the movie goers go to watch a Prabhas film if its directed by a respected director like Rajmouli, same goes for other aspects of filmmaking. The writers are given the most importance. In Telugu industry, importance is given to fantasy themes, hence more importance is given to visuals, that's why many movies incorporate vfx .
2nd : Bollywood directors really need to get out from the bubble of Mumbai and Multiplex audience. Tollywoood works because most of the movies have stories abt common people doing larger than life achievements, that's how they connect. Bollywood mainly focuses on glamour, show their version of how a common man is. Their reference is how people are living in South Bombay or how people are livng in west and emulate that for the city audience. Simple example, see how production design is shown in Bollywood movies and how they are shown in South movies, like in Fighter, the officers are shown drinking in a pub which resembles a pub shown in american movies and not how officers mess are like. wheras if you see in south films, they are recognizable. this is how people are connecting so well with south films more than bollywood. They dont care how the world sees them, their main audience are the common folks and they did not change that, infact that's perhaps why the world is starting to watch more movies from south

Nice video but i cant agree completely with. Just making pan india movie doesnt mean world class film. There are many south directors too who arent popular but do amazing cinema. In bollywood itself there are directors like anand gandhi, anurag kashyap, vikramaditya motwane and even vishal bharadwaj those are what u call world class directors bcs they cater to a deeper understanding of what a cinema can communicate and also they dont spoon feed u like other directors do. Sad reality is Bollywood started copying south movies since 90s, which sadly not many North audience no. They have been fooling people since decades, then started making offical remakes of south hit movies which were blockbusters in Northern belt. Once Salman career was in peak stage came up with wanted and ready copied of south movies. Any ways times have changed thanks to rajamouli and ott and some Hindi channels who always play south dubbed movies in tv which made huge impact on family audience. Southern movies still connected to its roots where bollywood lost it long back, they want to western culture in movies. I request admin to make video on Bollywood copied movies list since past.

Brahmastra was a really really amazing attempt and i loved the visual spectacle that it offered. Ayan was really good with his world building, but the script and dialogues were a bit weak. He has really great potential and i hope the next part will be good.

Strong reason if you do some analysis on the directors education and exposure, production house which run these. Most of them are software or entrepreneur and talented people who earned outside of India. It is natural and you will see the big changes in the next 5 years from Hyderabad itself.
I don't think Telegu cinema just has the exposure but in storytelling they are not that good that movie industry is also huge and not only about directors like Rajamouli etc who are good but rest are making craps
