Sunil Shetty as Commander Shivraj in Ram Gopal Varma's film JUNGLE is one of the highly underrated & underappreciated character in RGV's filmography. Sunil was terrific in the film & a shot in the climax where Sunil alone moves about in the forest for around 2 minutes is pure masterclass film making!

    • @Sundotdog2023
      @Sundotdog2023 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Agree with this completely, although there were many great actors in Jungle including Urmila and Sushant Singh but it was Sunil(Suniel) Shetty who was the best in that movie! Glad someone else thinks so too, his character was outstanding 👏🏼💯🪖🎖️

He might not have done anything worthwhile for the last 15 years but if you've made Shiva, Rangeela, Satya and Company you are a GOAT. To BR, I've observed in a few of your videos that you use the words "and all that", "whatever" and others on similar lines quite a bit at the end of your sentences. The usage of these, at least to me, slightly takes away from the conversation indicating an impatience on your end to hold a pause and be okay with it. If you do away with those, the flow of the interviews would seem more seamless.

The problem is the same RDJ will be the iron man in the endgame and be a supporting role lawyer Oppenheimer. They aren't afraid of making good films. Our stars do. I bet prabhas, NTR, ram charan, allu arjun and other pan India stars won't agree to do a supporting role for the sake of star image. Which only Amir Khan did in india.

04:21 Only guy in India?Seriously? Has he not followed the works of Mammootty, Kamal Haasan, and Mohanlal? They've been doing this for over 30 years, and their track record and versatility far exceed Aamir Khan's, who only does one film every three years nowadays. Especially when you look at Malayalam stars, each of them delivers 4-5 films a year. They can effortlessly switch from an offbeat film to a mass commercial entertainer without losing the audience's trust.

21:00 RGV was wrong... Rajamouli intentionally casted actors from both languages for bahubali.
Rajamouli's earlier films found some traction only in Tamil Nadu.
His previous film eega was a big hit in TN at the box off and also popular in pop culture...it was referred in a big film like Kaathi.
Same eega was a big dud in the Hindi market, even though it was marketed by Ajay Devgan as a face
Magadhera also did well in its Tamil dub.
So Rajamouli planned Bahubali as a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil.
He even named Tamil version as 'Mahabali' and released posters.( He later changed it to Bahubali..to have a single hashtag for languages..having a single name makes it trend longer, faster and saves marketing money)
And he ensured that all the actors other than Prabhas should be well known in both the languages.
Prabhas - For core Telugu Market
Satya raj :- For core Tamil market.
Anushka,Ramya Krishnan , Nazar - popular in both regions.
Rana :- has decent recognition in Tamil market bcz he acted along with big star like Ajith in Arambam in 2013(Bahubali was 2015 rlz)
He even cast Sudeep in full length role for some traction in Kannada market later when part 1 was a big hit his role got chopped due to some script changes... Bahubali 1 was marketed as Sudeep doing a full length role in the sequel.

You have a point with Baahubali trying to get more traction in Tamil than Hindi, so it's made in mind keeping Tamil audience, but by Baahubali 2 his strategy changed, that's why he didn't do it for RRR....
The reason is also because partly he knows, Tamils are the most hardcore fanatics of their language that they won't watch unless you have Tamil stars....
Yeah Eega/Makkhi didn't do well in Hindi but the reason was not the same as you are saying.... It wasn't marketing aggressively using Ajay's voice which only comes for 2 mins in the whole movie.... It's kinda dumb argument saying Acharya should have been hit just because they had Mahesh Babu voice over on the start....
Problem was Makkhi was never promoted well, it had a limited release that too 4 months after original Telugu Tamil Malayalam release....
But now after Baahubali, every other Pan Indian film from Telugu only had Telugu -Hindi bilingual and not Telugu-Tamil bilingual.... It's easy to understand why!

@@050138 on what basis you are saying that Tamils are fanatics... KGF2 was a big blockbuster in TN even when it released in competition with vijay's beast.
Bahubali 2 was an all time record in Tamil Nadu for many years even counting straight Tamil films..not just dubbed.
Did we ever make a Tamil film that big in Telugu ? Even Robo hardly reached top 5 of Telugu grossers and that is the best result we gave them.
EEGA Hindi not just had voice over it was even promoted by Ajay Devgn..he even attended press interactions in Hindi.

a technically good film with good making, reputed cast(for good openings), good promotion and good timing will always do good. but unlike the natural variance in collections among various good films, india bends the curve more, owing to very unpredictable audience, which in my view will soften with their maturity.

Kerala story is a new kind of movie that ever came & also controversial to current situation in the country. Thats why it became popular and earned them money. The next movie bastar is routine movie you would have already seen that kind of naxal story. This is common sense on how general public watch movies. 90% of filmmaker lack this sense when they get deep into filmmaking philosophy like Rgv they lose this basic fundamental sense on what makes people engaged while watching movie. Fortunately some directors &writers like rajamouli, sukumar, ayushman, raj kumar, lokesh get this.
