I was thrilled when I saw this video title :D Listened to Penance and Demon Copperhead and loved both! I'm a big fan of audiobooks even though some people say that 'it's not really reading' which I don't get at all. I also listened to Sarah Morgan Christmas romance novels and was amazed by the accents. Those always bring that cosy, wintery atmosphere. I've recently finished The Shadow of the Wind and I think you should add this one to the translated fiction TBR. It's a gloomy mystery and I'd say character focused as well.
Haha yay! Penance and Demon Copperhead audiobooks are so brilliant. And a big yes to Sarah Morgan Christmas audiobooks! I look forward to them every year 😍 I've seen a lot about The Shadow of the Wind but never tried it myself. Thanks for the rec!
i love poetry on audiobook. Anything by Clint Smith (he has two poetry collections and a non-fiction) is a rec for me. I may try that Beth O'Leary. I loved the Flatshare, enjoyed the Switch (although it didn't feel like a true romance for me) and then the No-Show fell flat for me so I've been reluctant to try her latest.
Oooh! I very rarely listen to poetry on audio, but I totally should. I'm going to go check out Clint Smith now. So interesting to hear your rankings on Beth O'Leary/ Would be interested to know how you find The Wake-Up Call compares 😍

My library unfortunately only has a very limited amount of audio books and the ones they have aren't really my cup of tea. That's why I mainly use audible and spotify.
I will check and report back. I guess my main issue will be that I'd rather listen to the books in English if they were written in English, and they'll probably be only available in French 😞
Some audiobook recommendations Ohio & Deluge by Stephen Markley Enter Ghost by Isabella Hammad Brotherless Night Kala by Colin Walsh Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Haworth The Wren The Wren by Ann Enright
Ooh thank you, Jacqueline! I've listened to Ohio, Kala and The Wren The Wren 😍 All fab. Enter Ghost is currently on my list. And it's interesting you recommend The Deluge - I really want to read it but thought it may be a bit long/dense for audio. Glad to hear not!

Ohhh that's such a shame! I've never used Spotify - I will have to check out the selection at some point.
You can actually get a library card through other libraries - Charlotte Mecklenburg has an awesome list - Libby and Hoopla both
I definitely need to get into audiobooks... I need to see if any library around me do them 😊
Yes!! I wonder what it's like over with you, actually. Let me know 😍

@@JasmineReads Delugr is long. It took me two months on audio but I thought it worth it.

Thank you for watching, lovely!
