    On the brake lock handle, you do not have to use the metal clip, push the brake, pull up on the handle, let off the brake pedal and its set. To release just touch the brake pedal. The clip is there to keep the brake on if you don't want it coming off if you touch the pedal.

      Thanks for the tip. I hate that metal clip.

    Great video. I bought a 235 last week and am stll getting used to it. So far its been awesome! My wife hated the dangling hydraulic caps so she tied them up with velcro wire keepers😂

    got the 324 myself I'm mostly mucking out duck ponds and it works great. The yanmar quick attach does mean I had to get the yanmar pallet fork but it is quick and easy to swap out the bucket. The load capacity was the number 1 thing for me though nothing in the same size and power could lift as much and saves me so much time moving feed.

      Thanks! I have been waiting years to get a tractor.

    I recently purchased a new SA325. I made a dual toolbox rack that bolts onto an existing hole(s) on the ROPS. (ammo cans) I cut those hydraulic protector plugs off and put them into a large pill bottle that stays in one of the cans. I’ve owned tractors with removable loaders for 30 years and have yet to remove a loader, so I doubt those plug/caps will ever be used. I have a piranha tooth bar ordered. Wanted to put it on while bucket is still like new. My first ever hydrostatic transmission. Hope I will like it.

    I bought a 424 a couple years ago. It's been a great tractor. I too don't like the clip on the parking brake, so I don't use it. The only two issues I've had with it is the rubber boot on the joystick keeps coming loose and one of the clips for the air cleaner pops off once in awhile.

    Thanks for the review.The warranty, if I understand it correctly, reminds me of the 5/50 (5 year or 50,000 mile power-train warranty that came with Chrysler products form the 1963 on model years). It did reflect the confidence that Chrysler had in the drive-train quality, but to make it actually apply there was a demand that the maintenance of the machine be carefully completed, and recorded or drivetrain concerns would not be covered! This does not mean it was not a real warranty or that it does not reflect he quality of the drive-train, but it was mostly pushed, if I recall, by the marketing people at Chrysler since their cars exterior styling at the time was not well received and was causing buyer resistance. With the somewhat updated exterior styling of the 1963-64 models, buyer interest increased, and the 5/50 warranty no doubt helped.-- it will be interesting to see the long term quality issues (if any) that occur to these machines.

    Looking forward to future updates. I hope you test out a wood chipper attachment. I really need a wood chipper but the powerful ones are just as expensive as some tractor/ wood chipper combos.

      @brettleybuilt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right?! I looked at some three point wood chippers and wasn't ready to spend that kind of money. Hopefully I can find one as I have a ton of wood I would like to chip and use for paths through my woods.

    I have the 2023 SA425 - same bucket connection. It is pretty quick. I have pallet forks and can change out in less than 5 mins. Put the weight on the bucket take out two cotter pins and pins and it's off. I also got the backhoe. I'm less than 50 hrs but so far, so good. Great lift and easy to use. I did a good bit of research and this was the best quality, size, price combo. I did get the tires filled and the bigger tires on the SA425 (the only difference) are great. I also dislike the link covers hanging as I too have a wooded lot.

    Nice video! I’m going to buy mine tomorrow. Trying to decide between the 325 and 425. I’ve heard the 425 has a little more “flotation” on lawn than 325 because of tire size difference. I think the 425 seems more stable. My Kuhn tiller weighs over 550lbs so I think larger tires would make me more comfortable. I was also kinda concerned about the rusty areas but a rust inhibitor paint should do the trick. You will also appreciate the 1.5” difference in the height when changing the engine oil and transmission services. Congratulations on your choice. Smart economic move. How annoying is the location of the brake pedal where Yanmar put it above the forward/reverse pedals?

    • @brettleybuilt
      @brettleybuilt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very annoying!!! Awesome tractor except for the braking system. Not sure what they were thinking.

      I got to test drive both at the dealership. The 425 with the larger rear tires was a little more "bouncy" than the 325 (the wheel rim size is the same, just the tire is different). Also, the 325 has more pulling power (approximately 950 kg. vs 850 kg). The difference is understood better by thinking about the gears on a bicycle (smaller sprocket - more power, larger sprocket less pull more but more speed). For my needs, more power for the box blade was more important than a few inches of ground clearance.

    How does it compare to the John deere 3025E as far as size?

    • @brettleybuilt
      @brettleybuilt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very similar in size, but the John Deere is a little heavier. The John Deere also has a Yanmar diesel engine which is another reason I went with the Yanmar tractor. Out the door I paid about $22,000, which included taxes and fees. The 3025E is about $21,500and doesn't come with a loader or any attachments.

      I would definitely recommend it. I have struggled for years doing things by hand and the hard way as I had no other way. The work I did with the tractor in the video was the amount of work that would take me probably 2 weeks after work to complete.
