Taron has been my favorite fan casting for a while, but you’ve opened my eyes to Jared Keeso. I think a relatively unknown might be the right move here
I LOVE Jared Keeso and I really agree with your choice. That image of him that makes the first case for him in the MCU has been floating around the internet for a while and it is really accurate, and so is your assessment. That being said, Jared is THE most important person in the production of Letterkenny and Shoresy. An MCU role would probably take up too much time for him to properly commit. On top of that Jared has stated before how tired he has become of the Hollywood machine and how happy he is working in an environment he's comfortable in. I think he's a great choice for Wolverine, but I think he would refuse the role and don't blame him at all.
@@kbg12ila well, he's not big yet, letterkenny is really popular and pretty much in its prime, so, anybody trying to get him for a wolverine project would likely acknowledge that he's a busy dude and would either account for his schedule or look somewhere else
Wolverines a great opportunity to cast a relative unknown, fresh actor. The character is popular enough that people will show up no matter what. In fact, I hope most of all the X-men are new actors. It’s an incredible career launching pad and it would be great to see fresh faces.
I would honestly love to see Radcliffe throw himself into Wolverine 100%, he's just so interesting. I think he's a little lean so he might need to get on the MCU Secret Sauce, and gruff up his voice a bit somehow, but he'd be such a shocker if he could pull it off.
Pilou Asbaek for Sabertooth? Yeah I know, I wasn’t a fan of his role in Game of Thrones as Greyjoy. But even then he shows a bit of menace in him. But if you want a better example, watch him in Overlord.
"He sounds like a thug Batman would throw thriugh a wall" had me laughing so hard I woke up my mom. I am a huge Arkham fan and I have knocked the teeth out of a hundred guys with Tom Hardy's Brock accent
I really don't want him in the MCU till after the first (X-Men MCU film) they should save him for a sequel only so that he doesn't overshadow the team as soon as he enters cause he will have the most attention as soon as he does . so I think in order to avoid him overshadowing the rest and it'll get us to know cyclops storm and jean better
I agree. The X-Men were a well established team before Wolverine joined it. I think that's the way it should be in the MCU as well. Wolverine wasn't introduced as a member of the X-Men either. Give us Hulk vs Wolverine like we've been waiting for. That's how they can introduce him to the MCU seperate of the X-Men. Have Logan and the X-Men exist seperate from each other and build up to him finally joining.
@@daymonwinder7913 Actually, before Wolverine joined the team the X-Men were pretty boring. They even got cancelled and only came back with this new team half a decade later. I'd skip the original team.
@@ziken4272 And? That doesnt erase their history before Wolverine joined the team. In that first issue, Prof. X recruits some new mutants to rescue members of the original team with Cyclops still as the leader.
The Miracle Workers actor’s name has been tossed into the Wolverine mix for so many years, he recently weighed in. Radcliffe thinks his name often comes up where Wolverine is concerned because they share one major characteristic: they’re both short. But alas he is not Wolverine (yet). Wolverine is 5’3 in the comics and Radcliffe, an affable 5’5, is a credit to short people everywhere. The actor has largely eschewed giant franchises since his decade-long tenure as a famous boy wizard. But given his incredibly varied career, we think, should the MCU come calling, he’d fit right in as Wolverine.
It's Taron for me. I definitely feel he would be willing to commit to playing Wolverine and also throw himself into the role. He's naturally hairy, can play ferocious but also likeable, is friends with Hugh, and clearly likes the character (since he posed as the character on instagram). But Jared as a close second.
Wolverine is short and hairy, so it would make sense to get someone who's short and Harry. For real though, I'm rooting for Daniel just because it would be a hilariously wild deviation from what he's known for. I feel like it would be another Keaton or Ledger or Evans situation, where the initial announcement draws a lot of criticism, but then he goes on to knock it out of the park.
I’ve had such a complicated relationship with this character. Love him and his powers and shtick. His tragedies help mold him. But also gotdamn, it is exhausting to think of the number of women fridged on behalf of motivating him or adding tension in a low hanging fruit way.
To be honesty, the fact women that love him always get fridged is why I'm s fan of the Wolverine/Jean ship. People that love him die. She dies. And gets better.
Jared is actually such a nice and genuine guy. I actually got to meet him on a drama class field trip since I went to highschool in the town he grew up in. And you can just tell that he is so humble and passionate about his work. I truly think he has the potential to grow into a household name in the near future.
I would love for Taron Egerton to be the MCU Wolverine he fits the MCU major role casting description so far with him surprising being not that well known compared to Chrish Hemsworth. If he ain't Wolverine then he should be Gambit. Sure he hasn't been doing aggression roles similar to Wolverine but I feel like he can definitely do it
As a Canadian, I approve of your Jared Keeso choice! His build with that thick neck would look great with the costume! Also, I think we would naturally bring that "not like the rest of you" vibe to the set that will help him feel a bit like an outsider (like Wolverine).
How coincidental is it that I just finished your latest Casting Video of the X-Men and minute slater this video shows up! Also I love the choices you choose! Keep up the great content! 🔥
I'd totally be in for Laura to be the main Wolverine and to eventually go on a quest to find Logan. They can even have Keene come back to the role Otherwise I love Keeso with some LOTOR camera tricks to help
I hope you're right! As a Letterkenny fan, I really, really want to see Jared with Ryan Reynolds. Probably the best ever post-credits (or promo if they thought it too out of character to be canon) would be the two of them chirping on Cyclops.
I want to play Wolverine. I'm 32 years old, I'm Canadian (raised and living in the US with parents in Canada), I'm 5' 9.5'', I'm (almost) Marvel fit but with a thick build (low body fat%, just stout), and my hair fits perfectly. I used to try to be an actor while paying the bills doing construction labor work, and this roll would fit me and my range perfectly. I'm now a software engineer, who builds wooden furniture and chicken coops and frequently goes packaging in the Rocky Mountains.
As a 33 year Wolvie & X-Men obsessive, one that believes the X-Men movies need to focus on not only the family aspect but also put Cyclops as its center focus, YES sir. YES. Exactly who I've been hoping out of the bigger names in the running. I'd love a no-name but I couldn't help but think of Logan when I first started watching Letterkenny.
Love your pick, Keeso is the best fit. Not only is he Canadian and has the look, he’s unknown enough where the character will feel fresh and Disney doesn’t have to pay him BIG star bucks at first.
I hadn't ever considered Jared Keeso for Wolverine before this video, but now he's my #1 pick. He's already well known for wearing flannel and jeans. Just give him darker hair with pointed tips, some mutton chops, and a leather jacket and he's our Logan.
Hoping for Jared Keeso!! (edit) I agree with your choice so much. Do you think that the Krasinsky casting is a sign that Marvel is kinda listening to fan cast requests? If so have you considered the potential influence of your videos on the X-men casting process?
Canadian here. This is an interesting pick! I actually had no idea who Jared Keeso was before this video because, well I've never watched Letterkenny. But I really wouldn't be upset with any of these actors being cast for Wolvie. This video certainly got me excited for the future of his film appearances
Milo absolutely has the look for the role, Jared I’m not as familiar with but I would give him a shot, it would also be cool to have an actual Canadian play Wolverine (not that I wouldn’t accept a non-Canadian actor of course). What about Jack O’Connell btw? He’s British but can do an American accent, is incredibly talented, has the look and is about 5’8”. Part of me feels like Marvel Studios will find a complete unknown for the role, maybe holding auditions worldwide until they find the right actor.
Check out the school shooting scene in 19-2, where Jared shows a bit of himself in action…. But yeah maybe, until he’s in the audition room, can anyone say otherwise.
My favourite Wolverine moment is from a comic cover. He is wearing a jacket and jeans. His claws are out below a mafia looking dude standing outside a suburban house. The guy is scared and all Wolverine says calmly is "Pardon me friend, have you given your soul to our Lord and Saviour" or something like that.
Something I would love for the MCU do with Logan when they introduce him is have each film of his trilogy taking place in a different time period. Here's pitch Wolverine - Takes place before phase 1, and could adapt Wolverine first apperance with him joining the Alpha Flight to fight against the Hulk (before he joined the avengers and became the professor hulk) as well Wendigo (which in this version could be created by Departament H, resulting in Logan leaving the group by the end of the film, seeing they are no different from Weapon X) Wolverine 2 - Takes place after Logan joined the MCU X-men and could have him and Nightcrawler having a adventure in Russia, with the villain being Omega Red. Wolverine 3 - Takes place in the DOFP timeline, with Logan now having to survive in this apocaliptic future while having to team up with his Weapon X team (sabertooth, silver fox and maverick) to defeat Bastion, who in the MCU could be the leader of the Weapon X program and join the Sentinels, becoming a cyborg. As for the fancast, my choice would be Milo Gibson
I agree with your choice as I've never seen the dude before (a key to HJs success in the role, imo), he has the right build/look and he seems to be a great person. I believe a key to a great Wolverine is an actor who can become the role. Rather than a star who we have to forget in order to see them as the character they are playing.
Great vid and very interesting choices and arguments. Keep going with these. You should make another "cast other popular X Men characters" vid where you include people like Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Gambit, Sabretooth, Cable, Domino, Jubilee, Moira McTaggert and/or Shadow King. I can see all of them bringing something great and unique to the MCU X Men franchise.
When I saw that Nando had picked the three most outrageously popular fan-castings and the guy from Letterkenny as nominees, I immediately thought “Woah, the guy from Letterkenny is his top choice for Wolverine?”
Yay he was my favorite choice, and I really hope he’ll be cast for real. Ideally he’d show up in Deadpool 3, Wade snarks about timelines and continuity, then Logan breaks a different wall using Wade’s head.
Considering his appearance in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, do you think John Krasinski will be the MCU (616) official Mr Fantastic? If so they might as well go ahead and snap his wife Emily Blunt up as Sue, but for Johnny and Ben I am not sure. I think with Ben the voice is the Important thing, I don't care what he really looks like, I just want a voice that doesn't require alteration and for that reason I would like Holt McCallany.
@@nathanthom8176 Until we get official confirmation that Krasinski is reprising the role, I'm choosing to believe him playing it in Multiverse of Madness was just a moment of fanservice. I liked him for what little time he showed up, but as an experienced Mr. Fantastic. For a Reed just starting out, we need someone who can convincingly sell the idea that he knows he's smarter than anyone else, and can be incredibly oblivious to everything but his work. My personal choice is William Jackson Harper, with Alice Eve as Sue, KJ Apa as Johnny, and Jake Johnson as Ben.
Of your picks, I like the Jared Keeso pick. I've always had Scott Eastwood rattling round in my head; looks enough like dad Clint (who I always thought looked like Wolverine), but isn't as tall (under 6' I believe), and doesn't have the personal name recognition.
I haven’t seen the Sandra Bullock movie where Radcliffe played the villain but the trailers showed me a hint of that ferocity/ruthlessness….might be worth checking out just for scouting purposes.
I think everyone north of the 49th can agree that Jared would make an incredible Wolverine, he looks the part, he seems like an incredible person, he won’t distract from the other X-Men too much, we’ve all either seen Letterkenny or have heard of it so he’s got a chuck of star power up here and lastly and most importantly he’s of course Canadian. Having a Canadian actor playing Deadpool alongside a Canadian playing Wolverine would be a dream come true.
Idk why but in this situation I see Radcliffe as an underdog. I'd love to see him as wolverine, he'd have to push himself a little and really try to get into character, but he would work. I think Tom Hardy is a great choice too, I'd love to a see him do a one-off wolverine story set in a different universe. Could even do a trilogy leading into an old-man Logan story like Jackman, but much more like the comics.
Haven’t watched the video yet. I want them to go an unknown actor that’s shorter and hairy. Very stocky, and kinda reserved. But also capable of commanding the room
They can make Wolverine huge in solo movies but take an outsider role in the X-Men universe. Also could Marvel do an Alpha Flight series / movie with him in it too .
I really want a Wolverine Cameo in Blade, it is rumored to have a flashback to early 1900s. Also since they are both around the same age granted that works best if you cast Tom Hardy.
I didn't know about your pick, but after watching this video, I am 100 % convinced. It is not a problem that he is the less known, most of the Marvel actors were before their movies. I love that he is a nice canadian boy and I am going to check his work for sure
Totally agree with the pick. Also, Jared may have the neck but Wayne's neck is a bit of physical acting on Jared's part. You can see the difference between Shorsey and Wayne. Maybe also why he choose to wear turtle necks later on in the season, cos that's probably exhausting to pull
I love Jared as a choice for wolverine. I’m always looking for Canadian representation in film, and he seems like a true supporter of the industry within the country. I haven’t seen letterkenny but it’s been on my radar for years
I'd be thrilled if Keeso got a shot, like completely overjoyed. Letterkenny is one of the funniest things out there (seriously, anyone reading this, just go look at some clips. It's a gem) and I genuinely feel he has the talent to be able to pull it off.
Honestly, there's a non-zero chance they just skip Logan and go with Laura as the MCU Wolverine. I know, lore-wise, that doesn't make a ton of sense, but when has that ever stopped them before? Going with Laura frees Marvel from the shadow of Hugh Jackman and the overwhelming weight of Logan's popularity. Plus, a lot of their current slate is bringing in stuff from the All New, All Different era of the comics, and Laura-as-Wolverine was one of the plot points.
Yes thank you!! Someone who agrees that Laura should come in instead of Logan. I need to see her as a teen & she could interact with the other heroes in the MCU and maybe be part of the young avengers
@@littlesparrow303 I'm not sure if I think this is what they Should do, only that it's a stronger possibility than anyone gives it credit for. My personal fanfic version of how the X-Men should be done in the MCU features Logan exclusively as a cameo, because I honestly don't think he's that interesting of a character, but the chances of THAT are slim to none.
Actually their lore is pretty tight. They've never just dropped someone in from another franchise, complete with backstory, there's always a reason. Laura would need a completely different backstory and wolverine is a very large part of that.
While the chance is non-zero, it's *extremely* unlikely. They're gonna want a bite of the fame Logan Wolverine has too much, they arent going to skip him. Maybe introduce his daughter quickly, sure, but no way they'll skip him or make him less important than her
@@kieran10202 On one hand, you're right that they probably wouldn't use Laura from "Logan (2017)", but that doesn't stop them from adapting a new version of her; on the other, they're literally right about to plop a character from another franchise into the MCU, but we're all excited for it because it's Deadpool.

I feel you, you are probably onto something, but like, 30 million dollars a film and assured time off for Letterkenny and I think he changes his mind
Maybe they can reach an accord so he can keep his work while making cameos as Logan until the big movies. That way, we're all happy
@@alexsmith7387 Thing is though... Would they do that for someone who isn't as big a star as others?
@@kbg12ila well, he's not big yet, letterkenny is really popular and pretty much in its prime, so, anybody trying to get him for a wolverine project would likely acknowledge that he's a busy dude and would either account for his schedule or look somewhere else
Wolverines a great opportunity to cast a relative unknown, fresh actor. The character is popular enough that people will show up no matter what. In fact, I hope most of all the X-men are new actors. It’s an incredible career launching pad and it would be great to see fresh faces.
Looks like you startled Wolverine while he tried out a very specific moustache.
"Its not what it looks like, bub!"
@@Durmomo0 He's ze best at vat he does
I would honestly love to see Radcliffe throw himself into Wolverine 100%, he's just so interesting. I think he's a little lean so he might need to get on the MCU Secret Sauce, and gruff up his voice a bit somehow, but he'd be such a shocker if he could pull it off.
Expecto patron-YES!
Can we please get another Xmen Villian Casting List that includes SABRETOOTH? I've been wanting to see this guy get some love for a long time.
Pilou Asbaek for Sabertooth? Yeah I know, I wasn’t a fan of his role in Game of Thrones as Greyjoy. But even then he shows a bit of menace in him. But if you want a better example, watch him in Overlord.
@@osmanyousif7849 Wait, you may be onto something here.
Maybe he's in the nebula episode
That's what has been bugging me throughout the video - Jared is Sabretooth!
Could easily see antony Starr as sabertooth

I would love to see a lot of the X-Men appear and other projects before they become a team.

4:40 that comic line is WILD!
He has the Robert Pattinson situation going on, I think it's time he picks up another iconic character and owns it.
aint nobody scared of HARRY POTTAH
He's way too "delicate" for Wolverine. If he wasn't the height he is he would not be considered at all.
Yes this , and to both you nay sayers just look at the other work he has done nuff said.
@@Yeti_1317 But he is an actor. Acting.
The build up to this video feels like Thanos finally getting the infinity stones after 10 years
When I saw Jared Keeso as one of your picks I genuinely jumped for joy. I never thought about him like that until now, but it really seems to click.
A line I can hear Wolverine saying is “you mess with Canada gooses, you mess with me”
Wolverine is short and hairy, so it would make sense to get someone who's short and Harry.
For real though, I'm rooting for Daniel just because it would be a hilariously wild deviation from what he's known for. I feel like it would be another Keaton or Ledger or Evans situation, where the initial announcement draws a lot of criticism, but then he goes on to knock it out of the park.
Ledger was horseshit but yeah

The effort you put into this functioning like a bachelor episode is incredible. This might be your best video ever!
I love Keeso, and you know he'd give it everything he's got. I'd be so down for that casting.
As someone from the UK I find Birkenhead being pronounced as "Brick-in-head" both so wrong and so right
Made me laugh out loud
I laughed, as someone from outside of Liverpool.
Took me a second. I live near Liverpool.
I had to rewind as I spat out my white wine spritzer at Brickenhead
The fact he called it a city too. It's a town
Jared is actually such a nice and genuine guy. I actually got to meet him on a drama class field trip since I went to highschool in the town he grew up in. And you can just tell that he is so humble and passionate about his work. I truly think he has the potential to grow into a household name in the near future.
I cried when he eliminated Milo, but Keeso is a great choice and I hope he gets considered! Nandi justified his decision and I am content with that
I normally *could not care less* about fancasting videos, but yours are super, super watchable. I don’t know how you do it.
They can even have Keene come back to the role
Otherwise I love Keeso with some LOTOR camera tricks to help
I hope you're right!
As a Letterkenny fan, I really, really want to see Jared with Ryan Reynolds. Probably the best ever post-credits (or promo if they thought it too out of character to be canon) would be the two of them chirping on Cyclops.
YES!
Just a shot for shot parody of the first epispde Cold open where Wayne and Dary dunk on the hockey players, but it's just Cyclops.
It happened with Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, I highly doubt Marvel aren’t as least looking into him at this point.
Deadpool: You’re welcome Canada.
Was surprised to see Radcliffe of all folks, but, look forward to seeing how he fits in here.
Worth the wait, this was delightful
Canadian here. This is an interesting pick! I actually had no idea who Jared Keeso was before this video because, well I've never watched Letterkenny. But I really wouldn't be upset with any of these actors being cast for Wolvie. This video certainly got me excited for the future of his film appearances
Best one of your casting videos yet! I literally squealed with joy when you announced the winner of Bachlorine! Sharing sharing sharing
Here's pitch
Wolverine - Takes place before phase 1, and could adapt Wolverine first apperance with him joining the Alpha Flight to fight against the Hulk (before he joined the avengers and became the professor hulk) as well Wendigo (which in this version could be created by Departament H, resulting in Logan leaving the group by the end of the film, seeing they are no different from Weapon X)
Wolverine 2 - Takes place after Logan joined the MCU X-men and could have him and Nightcrawler having a adventure in Russia, with the villain being Omega Red.
YAY!!!!! Perfect choice!! Glad you listened to me and others! Pitter Patter!
Great choice Nando. Canada deserves a Canadian Wolverine
Both Taron and Daniel have babyface and that is the biggest problem with them for this role.
Yay he was my favorite choice, and I really hope he’ll be cast for real. Ideally he’d show up in Deadpool 3, Wade snarks about timelines and continuity, then Logan breaks a different wall using Wade’s head.
I can understand Jared as Wolverine. I would like to hear your thoughts on Ben Foster in the role. I think he fits every section of your casting
I need this choice to come through so I can hear Wolverine say "Im not fightin ya, im slashin ya"
I agree with the choice. An unknown with potential. Where did we see that before?
I hope Feige follows your channel and respects your instincts.
You really won me over here Nando, Jared seems perfect for Wolverine. Awesome stuff
I really just want Marvel or Kevin Feige to officially announce the cast of the Fantastic Four. The waiting is agonizing.
No Kidding! FF have always been my favorite Marvel characters and I really want to see them again.
Hopefully they'll announce it at D23 this September
@@silverjaguar6744 I'm hoping they announce it at SDCC. Bad enough to wait for July, but I'll go insane if we have to wait until September.
When I clicked this video I did not expect to want Jared Keeso to be wolverine! Love Letterkenny and love this casting idea! Sold!
Of your picks, I like the Jared Keeso pick. I've always had Scott Eastwood rattling round in my head; looks enough like dad Clint (who I always thought looked like Wolverine), but isn't as tall (under 6' I believe), and doesn't have the personal name recognition.
Whatta mean isn't as tall, wolverine is canonically 5'4
@@SolomonFactorhe means isn’t as tall as his dad
Nando, I've been a fan of your channel since the Iron Man 3 Rewrite, and I think this is my favorite video of yours. This format is INCREDIBLE
I felt a strange amount of pride when you picked Keeso as your choice
Vince Gilligan chose all comedy actors for his drama because he figured if you can be funny you can act, and comedy is more difficult than drama
I haven’t seen the Sandra Bullock movie where Radcliffe played the villain but the trailers showed me a hint of that ferocity/ruthlessness….might be worth checking out just for scouting purposes.
The villain he played doesn't come off as being ferocious; it felt more akin them having controlled outbursts
The uncut version of the Wolverine is my favourite X movie, I really don't know why every one takes a swipe at it. Snowplough vs Ninja outstanding!
That placement of the question mark in wolverines face makes him look so goofy! Hes like :-O
I hope Jared is able to play Wolverine he could be busy with his other projects but if they get him to do it it’ll be amazing and honestly perfect
I think we all saw Nando picking Jason as the Bachelorine from a mile away. The way he talked about him, everything…
Haven’t watched the video yet. I want them to go an unknown actor that’s shorter and hairy. Very stocky, and kinda reserved. But also capable of commanding the room
Was thinking the same thing!
Danny Devito
I think Cole Hauser is a great dark horse pick for wolverine. His role in Yellowstone as Rip might as well be his audition.
Jared! Hugh wasn't known at the time. and i think being a SOLID Canadian can only help
Totally agree with the pick. Also, Jared may have the neck but Wayne's neck is a bit of physical acting on Jared's part. You can see the difference between Shorsey and Wayne. Maybe also why he choose to wear turtle necks later on in the season, cos that's probably exhausting to pull
I said the same thing 4 years ago after I watched Letterkenny for the first time. Nice work, Nando.
I love Jared as a choice for wolverine. I’m always looking for Canadian representation in film, and he seems like a true supporter of the industry within the country. I haven’t seen letterkenny but it’s been on my radar for years
I personally would LOVE to see Daniel Radcliffe play Wolverine, but I agree Jared Keeso is the best pick here
My choice would usually be Milo, but Keeso would be pretty perfect in the role as well. I may have to change my choices here.
Jared (who I’d never heard of, but you’ve done him massive justice here explaining his career and background) or Taron for me. Great video!
Casting an older actor as Wolverine could force Marvel to not overuse him. Do I think they wouldn’t throw him into everything though? Probably not.
