Hi, I let my Hotwheels stay in the Blister packs in my man cave. I put 12 blister packs together by staples on both sides an hang them on the walls with a nail on each 12 pack. Because of the dust I let them stay in the blister pack. Dust is easily removed by a swiffer and look good after remove. Because I am a drummer and play drums in the same room the blisterpacks on the wall work like noise attenuation because I have also 17 glass showcases for my 1: 18 cars. The craft store Jo-Anns has those double sided cases and if you watch for the sales you can get them for really cheap, they were only 6$ each when I got mine, so far the cheapest way I've found to store/display loose cars. I really like the protecto packs but they just seem a bit pricey at almost $1.50 each when the original retail of most of the cars is less than 1$ though I'll probably have to break down and get some for my Treasure Hunts.

Pretty cool, I bought recently one of those cases at a store called Michaels, they are used for storing sewing stuff, but they work very well for Hot Wheels. I also display my carded cars on a strip with grooves that you can hang your cars on it, and with a hook, I hang them of my bedroom door, or you can hang those in other places (it's a bit hard to describe those stripes without a picture!), I'm experimenting with a few methods to display my HW without taking them out of their boxes with a string and a thumbtack, at the moment, I have to be careful not to close my bedroom door too hard, or my cars will end up on the floor!
Some of them will have to be positioned in an angle in the case, so they almost all fit well in the case, depends on the car, and there's one larger space for longer cars in the case as well.

Do know the double sided cases (jammers) i call em) are not realy ideal for mounting to walls per say. Because you loose the back side.I know you can but cosidering you loose one side why not use a one side case? They're cheaper. Anyhow why not use plano cases! Also most walmarts have an off brand. My walmats has jammers but they also sell one by (starplast) " I love craft." organizer box. They're similar to plano cases but have white inner instead of clear with a clear lid!
