Thank you for this tutorial Jodi! I love your Friday Faceoff’s! I recently purchased two Merit eyeshadows in Studio and Midcentury and I’m really into the one and done eyeshadow look on my 67 year old eyes. I feel I do have to powder them after the application to last all day. I feel the Merit has a beautiful colour range as well. Thanks again, I always trust your opinions! 💕🙋♀️😊🇨🇦
Hey Jodi! I've not used a cream eyeshadow in years. It's not so much about the time for me as it is the tugging of the eyelids. I would definitely choose Merit over elf but actually don't want it either. It was still a great video, as always. Thanks for these FFOs. I always enjoy your videos!
Hi Lisa! No worries, cream eyeshadow isn't for everyone. I've scaled my back on how much eyeshadow I use and have found cream to be a new favorite. I hope you and your family did okay in the storm this weekend. 💕
Thank you for this video - I would love to try this now, I've never considered a cream eye shadow before. I would also like to ask you a question regarding setting powders - I have never used this product before, but I am finding lately that my eye make up "moves" throughout the day, but I don't know what is the difference between a setting spray and setting powder - is there a difference? Future video maybe? lol. Or if there is already one available, I would appreciate it if you can let me know where to look for it - thank you 😊💕
Good question. I've tried it without powder and had a similar experience. I really like the Revlon Colorstay cream eyeshadow if you're looking for cream eyeshadows without the Merit price.
I feel like Merit and some other companies are a little late to the cream eye shadow including Elf, Revlon and Maybelline have been doing them for years and they are really good with some good colours.
I recently bought my first Merit product - a lipstick, which I really like. And I’ve been reaching for cream eyeshadows,So I’m really interested in this Face Off! Edit: autocorrect called them cereal eyeshadows 😂

Hi Brenda, you're ahead of game if you already had the Merit AND Studio! (it's a pretty light color, I love it!)
I bought the Merit stick foundation after seeing Angie Hot and Flashy review it. She loves it and so do I!
Hi! Good to know, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jodi love these videos even this type of eyeshadow . I’m gonna try the elf to start . Have a beautiful weekend doll ❤
Hi! I appreciate you watching, even though you don't wear eyeshadow :)
I have been looking at the Merit shadows. This is a great review. Looks like a perfect one and done for a busy day. I will make this my next splurge!
Hi! I'm glad this video was helpful to you! I'm loving the formula and long-wear of the Merit Solo Eyeshadow.
Great video. Good information and very helpful 🥰🥰🥰
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!

Thanks for the powder recommendation, I understand, will try
Hope you like it!
The drugstore is fabulous
I'd be interested to know which cream would dry out quickly in its container.
I can tell you about Merit - it dried out so quickly after using it a couple months. So disappointing!
Ugh! I hope not, I'm loving it. I will let you guys know if mine dries out like that.

Hi there! This is a great question and while not complicated, I think it would be best explained in a video. I'll put one together for next week!
@@JodiMannes Oh yay!! I appreciate that, thank you Jodi 😊❤
I have a lot of Elf they are fabulous
Hi, thanks for sharing! Do you find they blend easily?
@@JodiMannes I do t use if much but when I do it’s fine I still would never pay what those highend brands want you’d getting ripped off
❤ Good info
Thanks, Debra. I hope you're doing well.
@@JodiMannes working on it , little under weather . It will get better 💕
Certainly wishing you the best 💜🌹
Would the elf have been easier to apply if you hadn't used powder before?

I bought 2 of the Merits eyeshadows and both dried out
Me too😢
Oh no! Thanks for sharing. This is my first one, I hope it lasts!

You're right, almost every brand has a cream eyeshadow line now and so many of them are good quality.

😂 Gotta love autocorrect! How did the contour pattern work for you?
@@JodiMannes It worked like a Champ!! I now do it that way all the time because it definitely makes a difference!
I would never spend what Merit wants They are overpriced just like most Highend brands
