How an Artisanal Cookie Mold is Made from Clay

I'm making an artisanal ceramic cookie mold also known as a springerle. Typically made from wood, springerle are intricate, hand carved, unique cookie molds that typically tell a story and are made for specific occasions. Using these pieces of art as my inspiration, I hand carve a unique cookie mold out of clay, showing the process from start to finish.
