Watching drill bit scene on the big screen. My wife walked by without breaking stride or even looking at the screen and says, "Kegels Alesha...Kegels..." And she's all grown up!

I am very happy for you guys!!! Your efforts completely paid off. House is very cool!!!! I am on my way to build a house for my family. A lot of good tips I learned from your videos. Before diving in the deep water I decided to buy a condo for a flip( Chicago NW suburbs) and improve my building skills (I am not professional at all). I discovered for my self!(maybe it's well known)1 very great tip for applying caulk or silicone. In the end of the process for super smooth finish I was wiping places where caulk or silicone was applied with a lightly wet sponge.

Well done! I especially liked the modded/combined IKEA bathroom vanities, and the use of poplar in the kitchen. Poplar doesn't seem to get a lot of love, but I've always thought it was an underappreciated wood. It looks particularly good in y'all's kitchen!

I like the format very nicely done. I do have a concern, regarding the stove top hood when I put one in I used a similar material for the ducting. The inspector rejected the corrugation material and required smooth sided, his reasoning was pretty good in my opinion so immediately removed the "flex" material and put in smooth sided ducting.
The corrugations in the ducting he said could trap grease and is a potential for spreading fire into the ducts and away from a stop top very quickly. If the ducting you have visible is from the manufacturer I am sure it is good but if you placed it you may want to think about replacing.
I do like the information and the way you presented.

If you use the Hidden Cabinet Pulls, check the length of the screws, the ones that came with ours would have just protruded through the front of the cabinets. We ended up lopping the tip of the screws off.

wow it looks a model kitchen and bathroom that you see in a magazine. And it looks high-end rather than budgeted! But the glass guy is certainly doing a lousy job. There's no way he wouldn't know about the water leak from the bracket, unless it's the first time he uses such bracket???
Btw, I wonder if you would show us your home in night mode? It can highlight all lighting effects!!!

You did a beautiful job with the kitchen and bathrooms and the cost that you were able to get them done for is amazing. I don't know which I like better: the kitchen or master bath shower. Both are just fabulous. Good work! Also, not that this really matters, but FYI, the proper pronunciation of "Godmorgon" is roughly this: Good*-MORE-own. *Good being pronounced not like the English "good" but more like "food" or "lewd." Very much looking forward to the house tour!

Maybe you mentioned it on a separate video, but what type of loan did you get to build your own home? I tried looking into this locally and was told by 3 diff lenders that I'd have to find a contractor/builder that would customize the home I wanted, modern, somewhat like yours. Sadly, i passed bcz of tons of hoops that I was being put through. Instead, went with a fixer-upper and am in the stages of trying to DIY whatever I can before I fork out the $ to get a contractor :/
