    City Officials: Were not going to pay that. Instead were going to give our lawyer friends who run our campaigns $1million to fight it.

      Yea use tax payer money to fight it in court

    • @Ccf182
      @Ccf182 4 ปีที่แล้ว +132

      The reason being, the money spent on fighting them will be worth it if they won. Hypothetically if they won, they'll be able to tax the people over and over again without any interference. It would have paid for itself in 3 years easily. 20 years down the road, profit from the tax could be in the tens of millions. Had they won, other cities would of started doing the same thing. It would of been a snowball effect. Eventually costing tax payers hundreds of millions and easily into the billions.

      My father worked for the local city government. In an effort to make the city run more efficiently, the city brought in an outside firm to do $100,000 study. They had some good ideas. The firm bascally just questioned the employees and figured up the upfront cost of implementation of the best ideas. These recommendations would have an upfront cost of $30,000. None of it was carried out. The city decided there was not enough money in the budget for it.
      The concept that you would pay someone $100 to tell you how to save a $10000, but not carry it out because it will cost $30 upfront is a sign of mental illness or severe mental impairment in an individual. For the city government, it was Thursday.

Now go back to school. Secondly, "how do you like them apples" is a question, not a statement. That means it ends with a "?", not a "!". Third, the phrase is "how do you like THOSE apples", not "how you like THEM apples". The second sentence isn't even how normal people speak english.
