Hey josh, yet again another brilliant video very informative, I've done very similar mods to my 2014 model I've owned for a couple of years now and absolutely love it best bikes ever and will never get rid of it there perfect also be great if you could do a video on the front headlight your running that is great cheers for sharing your content dude keep up the awsome work that goes into your channel 👍👌✔️
Wow..That is love and dedication right there. I’m thinking of selling my 2022 Drz400e and getting a Himi 450 or an MT moto450,but find it hard to part with the drz. The reason I’m changing is the height,I’m 173 cm and find it a bit to tall when I’m in sand or mud and really tough places where I need to ‘paddle’. I know there are different bones to use on the rear suspension, but the general mood on this is not so favourable.. Love the clip,I liked and subscribed, purely because you are no nonsense and straight forward. As far as your future upgrade,we’ll, I already have the 3 by 3 and jd jetting, which is great, but would be looking at the hot cam upgrade,if I go with this bike, changes everything about the bike..So I would say that this is your future upgrade…
Great set up there mate, just being picky here but you can keep the stock countershaft sprocket cover you just need to purchase the s model case saver to make it work. Keep up the great work, looking forward to the vids coming up.
Love the setup mate, I’m currently building one from scratch myself so using your bike as a bit of inspiration. I’m waiting on the delivery of my Safari tank and heap of gear from B&B atm to bolt on.
Wondering if the mods are a full exhaust, JD Jet kit and 3x3 airbox mod. I did that on my DRZ Supermoto and it made it quite a bit more exciting. I've got a CRF300 Rally at the moment but every time I see your DRZ is makes me want to get another one haha. Love the content bro, much support from NZ!
Easy guess. Big bore kit. Added a Cylinder Works kit and JD jet kit to mine earlier in the year. Makes a very nice difference especially to the mid-range torque. Mine now keeps up with a CRF450L with upgraded ECU and exhaust, so it is no slouch.
Love the setup, extremely similar to mine. Keen to go on some adventures! I see you haven't ground down the back of the gear lever, even with the case savers, the sharp point can still puncture the case. It happened to my old one...
hey josh, great run through of the bike set up, looks like you've got it modded and personalised 100% to you and you're riding. with you on the hk pegs, combine those with some bar risers and farbars and suddenly you can stand up comfortably all day 😉 big question: are you going to do a full breakdown on the pink bike hanging on the wall?!
Yellow KLX400r, actually. Yes, lower peg is a must, I have long legs & its always a problem on every bike I own, 20-25mm would good. Looks like the AliExpres I have, cheap and works with a bit of mod.
@@martyn_g nope, no issues with swelling. It can be a bit tricky to line the tank up the first few times but once it’s been on for a while it’s super easy to take on and off.

Hi Josh, a couple of things. What is the model number of your Kriega saddlebags and where did you purchase them? Also what do you use on your plastics and metals to make them shine so much?
I’m always impressed by how clean your bike is Josh - good work! I am guessing the big bore kit is next for this bike. Do you run a thermo fan? This is a worthwhile mod imho especially in the warmer states, it doesn’t take long in the slow stuff for them to boil without a fan.
@@andrewwitts1389 thanks mate. I love a clean bike. No thermo fan for me. I don’t normally need it. Currently on Fraser Island and it would have copped a workout today so a fan would have been a good idea!
the bars that came in the first cape york edition kits were pro taper henry/reed bend. they're very similar to the jimmy button renthals which i prefer i kept the pro tapers as a spare set. they still have the cape york edition but it doesn't come with the bars or tyres anymore.

Josh, great set up you got there, putting a 14 on the front with the 44 would give you the same ratio as 15/47 instead of changing rear sprocket
@@craigduffield3963 thanks mate. Yea I’m aware. Just thought it easier to switch the rear. It needed to be swapped anyways so it worked well.
