i think i found kirrims long lost brother, kirry. he was flying a spaceplane and then when trying to land it back at ksc, it stalled and landed before the runway. it had 4 tail fins and 1 got ripped off, and it was slowing when the runway hill hit it and it went flying. then it did a cork in midair, landed straight, and turned sideways and handbraked, then stopped at the start of the runway with exactly half fuel.
we need you for an extra operation. we need you, to unlock jebediah's special box. btw because we didnt want the box anywhere near us because jeb is known for lots of explosions we ejected it into orbit around jool. Have fun!

The SpyCrap You can still use your RSC pack to slow you down to ~35 m/s, which is survivable. The only problem now is overheating - you still need some kind of craft to protect you from atmosphere during reentry.

I figured out how he did the scene at 4:00 ... The rocket was using solid fuel rockets to fly. Solid fuel rockets are used by activating them, then they stay on until they run out of fuel. I think he flew the plane just out of the atmosphere (to switch ships), activated the rocket's boosters, then switched back to the plane so they both were flying.
I just realized that the "advanced tech" left out in the open was the three-legged lander and rover from the ending of "How to Ground". For some reason this blows my mind.
