Walmart used to have Avia brands lowest price $40 all around trail running shoe before the brand went for an even cheaper price clone on a Adidas and/or Nike model in a few models, cheap casual shoes, and low end running shoes. Walmart in 2000's had a Starter model they were selling where was like a real running shoe on lower end closer to an old racing model from Nike. Now more and more Walmart is going cheaper and cheaper

Funny you should mention air walks. About 5 years ago I bought my first ever pair of air walks at a store going out of business sale. The were awesome, great looking shoe, felt alright. Fast forward a month and they were wearing alot on the sole tread, another month and you could literally see through the bottom of the shoe ( a hole the size of a half dollar) I ripped them apart and literally they had cardboard in them for the honeycomb structure. Yep, never again.

It’s a little off topic for this video but I’d love to see more low end sub $150 work boots like maybe some lower end Carolina boots and maybe find out what the best boot is in that price range
At least with Nike shoes you won't get much of bargain. I saw a lightly used pair of Nike Air Max 90 shoes at Goodwill for $55. I would have almost bought them but at Ross you can get new Nike Air Max 90 shoes for $65.
Walmarts Avia running shoes are actually really good, the soles just wear out quicker than a name brand. Comfort wise and style wise they’re actually really nice.
The Walmart Fubu Dunks maybe cost about less than 1$ to produce. If they last only about one month theoretically you would need 12 pairs a year for 252-$ which is a lot. Instead of that you could buy two pairs of 120-$ shoes which will last more than a year.
If you want to make one more Dunk video, I highly suggest looking at the Dunk Low SP pairs that came out around 2020 (St.John, Kentucky, Syracuse). Those were only released originally in Tier Zero stores and boutiques, which meant they were extremely limited. Those pairs were the ones that led to the Dunk becoming hyped during that time. The leather on those doesn't have the thick plasticky coating they started putting on all the dunks once they started mass producing them. They re released in 2023, so you can find them now for a reasonable price. The opposite though goes for the Air Jordan 1 85. The first few pairs definitely had the correct thicker leather used in 1985, but they ruined them by giving them the plasticky leather finish. But the more recent pairs, (which nobody wants so you can buy for retail), those they have fixed the leather finish on them so they feel and wear in a million times better than say the Neutral Grey AJ1 85.
Cool video. I recall when we were young, my parents would have us get shoes worth between 15 and 25 euro. And yeah, we did feel that raster after a while. I think my sister once lost her entire sole because the glue was gone. If I had kids of my own, I'd go for shoes like this as well. Yeah, they're not as durable as and maybe if your kid destroys 5 of them in a year, it may be worth getting them more expensive shoes.
Ngl, as a knife guy it makes me so jealous that you get demko knives. Those are some of the best knives. I would consider them the whites or nicks of knives.

You could just buy the shoe, rip off the materials and re use the rubber outsoles to make your own customs. You can add filler foam in the outsoles to make them stronger and softer for very cheap. Most outsoles sold on Etsy and so on are $25+ at minimum. Good alternative for DIY shoemakers
