And Quake, he does the "Haha!" line from the advanced KH1 finishers. Which again wasn't even in GBA Chain. So again making Haley mimic a line he didn't need to with a voice he can't do anymore. And adding to the irony, there's a straight up Magnet Sleight here that borrows KH2's Magnet spell. ...And it doesn't have Sora say "GATHER!" like his KH2 line, but some other finisher line from 2. The inconsistency is all over the place. So yeah, some of them are making Haley re-record. Some of which I get because KH2 didn't have those spells, but some you can have just gotten away with KH2 finisher clips and they made him redo KH1 finisher clips anyway, and even when there was something from 2 they could've easily borrowed they borrowed a more generic clip from 2.
i gotta admit, chain of memories is when they started getting REALLY creative with attacks... it's also the first time we seen a lot of status ailments too
Re:coded had a lot of creative attacks too. They had an elemental version of nearly every single attack of the game and "Wind Damage" was actually a thing
As much as I find the cards tedious, this is the most badass KH1 Sora gets. Lethal frame, elemental raids, judgement, magnet spiral, its all really cool.
As some potential advice, if you go back to the game try prebuilding decks for sleights and dead card regen. You can do it while generally also making sure you can hit buttons if you need to, especially since a lot of the best sleights are different combos of attack cards. Learned this near the end of the game and honestly it's at least 80-90% more fun than KH1 in my experience. But also I didn't have the best initial experience with KH1 so that might color me a bit.
once i play thru RE:COM all im gonna worry about is lethal frame, megaflare, strike raid, and sonic blade.............. and will show no remorse in spamming them either

Would’ve been cool to use a lot of these attacks in KH1’s gameplay. Could lock them behind a gauge just like drive forms so that they are not too spammy. Heck, could even add them to the abilities list so that you have to pick and choose which ones to add using AP. Would love to see Quake, Holy, Firaga Burst, Shock Impact, Tornado, Magnet Spiral, Lethal Frame, Raging Storm, and Mega Flare along with some of the old limits (Sonic Blade, Ars, Ragonorok) be in some kind of Super Attack pool. You could even have Strike Raid be a regular attack and take on different properties based on the keyblade you had. Like the Diamond Dust keyblade would turn strike raid into Blizzard Raid.
A quick note about Gifted Miracle is that it is a much cheaper Megaelixir+Cura with the negative of slightly healing Enemies. Quite OP in how fast it reloads and resets your reload meter and that you can set up many many many usages of it with potions. Mainly useful in hyperspeeding through your deck repeatly.
nah. KH3 Sora has abilities from every KH game. it's absolutely unparalleled how stacked he is to the point where I recommend everyone should play that game on Proud mode at the very least
I remember spamming firaga burst, raging storm and especially mega flare. That jutsu is so OP it just clears the room as soon as I enter it. I'm a fire mage, baby! I feel so nostalgic... T_T
In the original COM, Sonic Blade, all spell cards, and all -Raid sleights can and must be aimed manually, so it can be either completely useless (Like shooting Firaga into an empty area) or better than expected (Like turning the usually one-hit only Thunder Raid into a multi-hit attack)
Sonic blade got me through some of the harder fights like vexen and axel. Definitely one of the best sleights due to how easy it is to get and build a deck around unlike some of the better sleights.
And you wonder why absolutely nobody uses most of these outside of Lethal Frame. ;P ...Maybe some of the AOE ones for grinding on the final floor, but at that point you're just going "which AOE do I feel like using today."
Also A Reminder: Choose your Sleight Carefully What ever who You Battling also One More Thing Use Them Wisely Whenever You Feel To Bring down Some Hitpoints

lethal flame is easily my favorite of sora's sleights. but i gotta say many of these sleight i haven't seen gave lethal a run for it's money like holy, but lethal flame is still my top.

Here I thought all those creative moves came from BBS, they really explored Sora's abilities that can make him more of a threat than every single secret boss in the series. Young Xehanort can do Raging Storm and Mega Flare at age 18-20, here Sora does it at age 14.

Sonic Blade doesn't have shit on Lethal Frame. I played through the game on Proud Mode and it carried me all the way through Sora's half of the game EASILY.
I'm on my first play through. I thought sleight's were magic cards like fire fire fire thunder thunder thunder etc. I had no idea about all the others. I upgraded my health 1st. Bad mistake.Then my cards. I'm at level 71 hp. 875 CP. And no upgrades to sleight's.Should I start over? I've been spamming fire and blizzard all this time lol. .
These sleights are so sick no lie but the GBA version look like they hit harder like Clouds Cross slash where it zooms and makes a heavy slash sound with each hit.
I know I'm kinda late to say this but, Trinity limit can be triggered even when you use Donald as the first stack of the sleight. This will help you not to remove your Keyblade Card when you use it.
You start at 80 HP in the game and end at 560, with one gaining 15 HP per times the perk is chosen. If you choose to increase HP each time from the start, your health is maxed out at level 33. One also starts with 275 CP and ends at 1625, with them increasing by 25 per times that is chosen. Going from level 34, one finishes at level 87, leaving 12 levels for sleights. Simply put, his stats are maxed out, which is appropriate for max level.
I find it awkward how some of his battle quotes were HJO's matured voice trying (so hard) to sound like he was in KH2, I mean, why can't they just re-record the whole thing instead of recycling them?
The longer I play RE: Chain of Memories, the more the game and its combat system grow on me. It’s still horrendous, but it’s becoming more tolerable as I progress
A bit late are you lol. The remake came out way back in 2007 (JP only), 2008 for U.S. and Canada for PS2, then ported for PS3 2013. Finaly a PS4 port in 2017. Anyways, you're fine. The gba is the better version when it comes to pure gameplay. If you couldn't buy it for you region. Unless your about the story and want to see the cool cutscenes. There's no need to get it, but it is included for the 1.5 edition of KH1fm for PS3 and 1.5+2.5 and the story thus far, which includes all the games up to KH3 for PS4. Although days and coded are movies.

Stop is the most worthless spell ever in Kingdom Hearts and is only good when using warp in Re:Chain of Memories

You start at 80 HP in the game and end at 560, with one gaining 15 HP per times the perk is chosen. If you choose to increase HP each time from the start, your health is maxed out at level 33. One also starts with 275 CP and ends at 1625, with them increasing by 25 per times that is chosen. Going from level 34, one finishes at level 87, leaving 12 levels for sleights. Simply put, his stats are maxed out, which is appropriate for max level.

I find it awkward how some of his battle quotes were HJO's matured voice trying (so hard) to sound like he was in KH2, I mean, why can't they just re-record the whole thing instead of recycling them?
Maybe because COM is set before KH2 and thus the VA is actually trying to sound like he did in KH:COM, but only managed to get as far back as KH2?

The longer I play RE: Chain of Memories, the more the game and its combat system grow on me. It’s still horrendous, but it’s becoming more tolerable as I progress

This is the PS2/3/4 remake, it was released along the Final Mix version of KH2
A bit late are you lol. The remake came out way back in 2007 (JP only), 2008 for U.S. and Canada for PS2, then ported for PS3 2013. Finaly a PS4 port in 2017.
Anyways, you're fine. The gba is the better version when it comes to pure gameplay. If you couldn't buy it for you region.
Unless your about the story and want to see the cool cutscenes. There's no need to get it, but it is included for the 1.5 edition of KH1fm for PS3 and 1.5+2.5 and the story thus far, which includes all the games up to KH3 for PS4. Although days and coded are movies.
