Just got my seeds for spring. This year was the first time I’d planted them and they do bring in the pollinators too! Beautiful flowers! I didn’t know I could also use them for my fall garden! Thanks!
I'm in N.Y and this is my second year of planting zinnias. And boy they are georgous and bring in the butterflies. But I didn't know how they were also helping my soil. Thank You!
Don't ever grow zinnias in your vegetable garden. You will get lots of butterflies in your garden which means caterpillars will eat all your leafy vegetables
@MrShawnbfromjersey-You want to attract butterflies to your garden to pollinate, not ALL caterpillars eat leafy vegetables, each butterfly species has SPECIFIC plant they use as host plants. Please do your research before making such a broad statement.
I know yall deal with alot in the south from fire ants to root knot nematodes. But it would be nice to have more than 4 month growing season to put in cover crops, or have a time to grow 2 crops in the same plot. Love your zinnias btw, plan in interplanting them here next year.
Where or How did you end up with a mix without strong yellows and bright reds, etc?? Looks like mostly corals, salmons, and pinks and orange.. 👍👍🌻🍀🍻Thought you would say who sells the mix.. But, can just pluck out the colors I don't want.. Lol.
I need something to grow that will ADD all those things to the soil. Plus minimum planting prep as we are renovating a home ourselves and are already overworked! Hopefully fall will be the time we put in our garden.
I bought a pack of California giants to plant in my garden Yesterday, I put the seeds to in my pants pocket to carry to the garden I was pulling out weeds first when the heavy rains started. I was soaked by the time i got inside. I immediately took my shower and decided to do laundry. Last night, i remembered i had my seeds in my pant pocket. Check the pants this morning and what a mess inside my pocket. Lost all my seeds 😮😢
❤❤❤❤❤Happy humble greetings from Saminem ❤️, from Suriname Ooohh jaaa, and thank you very much for sharing this precious videoclips God bless you. If I was in your neighborhood, I would have begged your permission to cut some of those Lovely Zinnias and I would in return make you some delicious veggie soup. 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This long bloom season makes them excellent for landscape color in mixed plantings or for cutting gardens. Zinnias are one of the best annuals for attracting pollinators, especially butterflies. Interplant zinnias between rows of vegetables or as a border around vegetables to attract more pollinators to your garden.
My Zinnias are surrounded by hummingbirds (: and bees
Mine have reseeded for 10 yrs now. 4-7 ft tall State Fairs, I think
Love his accent! Thanks for the tips
