Elvis could sing anything and everything. He was a vocal magician. Pavarotti said that Elvis could sing Opera. He said that Elvis could sing like him, but he could never sing like Elvis.❤❤❤
ELVIS THE ARRANGER. Muck more than the ENTERTAINER. He played GUITAR AND KEYBOARDS BY EAR. He MERGED AND REARRANGED MULTIPLE GENRES of music for YOUNG PEOPLE. Black artists in his era CHERISHED ELVIS for MANY REASONS.
Easy answer...No, there wasn't a single genre of music that Elvis couldn't sing. There's always been such attention paid to Elvis as an entertainer (good and bad attention) that it's at times overlooked that Elvis is one of the very few artists who could sing any genre of music believably. Elvis was very protective of his voice which is why he never developed nodules on his vocal chords like a lot of artists do today. He also spent time really learning about what his VOX could do & the results were phenomenal. The 'cry,' the lilt, the fast changeover from low to high (often within the same word;) harder, raspy vocal sound versus smooth, velvety sound. Elvis was a genius with his voice, with on-stage production, with knowing just exactly what sound he wanted out of each band & backup members; where in a song he wanted to speed things up and where he wanted them slowed down. He was truly a maestro & he's never been given the kudos he deserves from music critics and the press.
This was the beginning of what was billed as Elvis' first TV special...a Christmas special. But instead of opening with a Christmas song, we got a close-up of Elvis warning the audience, "If you're lookin' for trouble, you came to the right place."
This was song, Trouble, was from the Movie King Creole, from I think about 1957. This isn't the original TROUBLE. Should try his Gospel, which is the only time that he won a Grammy, Peace In The Valley, I Come To The Garden. Good one from near the end is Kentucky Rain.
Elvis is the only artist in 5 major music hall of fames. Rock hall of fame, Rockabilly hall of fame, Gospel hall of fame, Country hall of fame, and Rhythm and Blues hall of fame. What else is there to say? Great reaction!😊
Thanks man, Love what you said about Elvis. Elvis was so polished comparing to others. No other artist really gives that same feel you get from watching Elvis.
"Muss i den" was a German folk song translated in English to "Wooden Heart" Elvis did this song & video after being stationed in Germany for 2yrs drafted into the Army.
There's a reason he's in multiple music halls of fame.

Elvis is in 5 different music Hall Of Fames. An elite honor. He is also the very first OG! He had the women, cars, money, jewelry and fame!

The 1950s version is the best one by far.
To appreciate his vocal abilities and his versatility you should defitnetly check out his version of "Danny boy".
