    also check for any tin Whiskers in that little area where the 3 pots are encased in the metal case around them as well.

    You can go down so many rabbit holes with these older TVs. Core turning with resistance like its moving??? I would have ended up tracing it to the coil and then giving up on it cursing the TV Gods. Great, deep dig and solution!

    I kind of liked the four images on the screen. I think the moral of this one is believe nothing unless you see it with your own two eyes.

    I've been following along, and this has been an interesting one with an unexpected ending to the horizontal. I'm honestly surprised the set works as well as it does with those Elmenco caps---I've never seen a good one yet
