I have a mucky brown leather bag purchased from What Not.... found myself here and can see you have lots of videos of buying. Winner......I have now subscribed 😂
Thanks I have lots to clean and have gotten in most of my supplies. Suede an Nubuck are newish to me cleaning so appreciate this. I got a police body camera so need to charge it and going to do leather clean and spitshines on some boots and shoes. Get some cloth diapers soo great for shoe shine / buffing.
Thank you for this! I have a beige suede bag I spilled hot chocolate one - I’ve tried brushed and wiping etc with suede cleaner / soapy water but it’s not fully budging - what would you recommend? Warm white vinegar? Please help !!! Thank you angel xxx
I would wash the entire bag rather than spot clean. I would not be afraid to get it wet and soapy and even soak it a bit and you can even scrub it. You have nothing to lose if it's stained badly already. I would give it a serious cleaning to see if you can save it. Blue dawn dish liquid and " awesome " soap are my go to when there is serious damage. Quenby
Love your video on purse cleaning. thanks. But I am distracted by your beautiful ring on your finger. It is lavender and green. Can you describe what it is and where you got it. Lovely.
Thanks Dear ! Please how can I clean a Valentino leather hand bag ? I try clean with water and soaps them my bag becomes like a dark orange color 😢 I appreciate your reply! Thanks 🙏
Oooh You lucky Lady, a Chanel!! You can use this method on all suede but you have to use the specific suede cleaner. I use the ugg brand and it's linked in the description of the video and it's only like $20. I would do a test on area of the bag first before doing the whole bag to be safe. Let the test area dry 100% and then brush it with the suede brush. If you are happy with the results then you can do the entire bag. Good luck! Q
I have a lite pink, blush color Michael Kors I got for a great price but I want to protect it before I use it. It is a lamb skin leather I think. What you use to protect it? Would you clean the same way? It's quilted. Then I have a soft pebbled black leather coach bag. I haven't used either because I'm scared to mess them up.
Oh those beautiful bags are meant to be used!! Enjoy them. Cleaning is not really a big deal. That Ugg kit that I recommend has a protector spray. You spray it and let it dry. I would clean it using the suede cleaner in the kit. The kit is only like 20 bucks and their is a link in the description of the video, it has been my GO To for years. xo Quenby
I have some purses from Threadup that need some TLC, especially the inside. Could you do a video about cleaning the inside? Mine are really bad. I will try your method.
Hi Dorothee, I do have a video about cleaning the inside up on the channel already. In this video I clean the inside of the bag too, if it's fabric. Did you see that Part? Quenby
I am not sure what you mean by "pilage bag inner". I use the ugg cleaner on the inside of the bag if the lining is suede. If it's fabric or regular leather I use dawn dishliquid, the blue stuff. It has never caused discoloration for me but if you are concerned just do a spot test 1st.
@@TheGratefulQueen Hi Wendy, I mean I have a non-leather bag, is kind of nylon stuff, I only have used it once, it got a terrible discoloration from rain, the whole bag looks different color and dirty when it is only the first time to use. I really have no idea how should clean it
Yes, OMG I was just cleaning one. It is a Tory Burch with Patent Leather accents. If there are any scuffs, use Nail polish remover on a cotton swab. Works like a charm. For ink, I use rubbing alcohol. Let it sit. Is the ink on the lining or the leather? Try the nail polish remover on the leather 1st. xo Quenby
@@TheGratefulQueen thank you so much. The ink Is on the leather. It looks as if it’s been sitting there a while. I will try this. Thank you soooooo much.
Hello ma'am, I have a question please, for anyone who might be able to give me a helpful opinion. I have a yellow leather Coach purse that sat side by side with a brown leather purse in a warm closet during summer. Now the Coach purse has got brown stains upon it from the brown leather purse. It is quite embedded into the yellow leather, and I would like to try out something that could possibly safely remove the stains. I was considering purchasing some yellow dye, but I'm not sure that would even work. So far I've tried gently scrubbing the purse with dishwashing liquid & water, borax & water, and rubbing alcohol. I'm nervous about trying all of these different products, and I'd appreciate any other suggestions. It is a smooth leather, and I'm leery about the amount of scrubbing it can handle lol. Thank you
It sounds like some of the brown leather polish from the brown bag got on the light purse and it is stained. I think the only solution would be re-dye the yellow bag. It sounds like the brown is not going to come out with washing. You could try soaking it overnight in the sink with some blue dawn dishliquid as a last resort, but i am not confident it will come out. xo Quenby
@@TheGratefulQueen Thank you kindly for the response, I will try soaking it, and dyeing it as well. :-) Dawn dishwashing liquid is good for many different uses.
Ouch! That is sad as heck. There’s a video on TH-cam where this guest on a Black womans’s talk show (not Oprah, a young woman) He’ gives the WHOLE SKINNY on taking care of your leather investments. I guess leather purses have to breathe. Who knew? If you search on YT you should find it.
I have a pink Kate spade back pack on one oaf the corners is a small place where t looks like the leather has come off. I don’t want to scrub n it to much to make it bigger what can I do for this?
Hi Suzy, ARe you saying there is a hole in the leather of your bag? Is this a question about cleaning it? If so, I would be very gentle yes. I personally don't know about sewing or repairing holes in suede. Q
@@TheGratefulQueen no not a hole just a rub spot like it was rubbed against something and the leather might be rubbed off I’m not sure because I don’t want to rub to hard I wish I had a pink pen. Haha
@@suzydeschamps2817 That is when the "suede eraser" tool comes in really handy. In the kit, there is a white suede eraser tool and you can use that to sort of brush and plump up the leather in that area, the kit is linked in my description, I use it all the time
do you have any tips on removing/cleaning a small pollen stain (? not sure if it has stained yet since it only happened today) from a suede bag? it has only slightly caused a discoloration that, to anyone else, isn't super obvious but because i know it has happened its almost all i can see
I have been really successful with UGG tool kit. The cleaner has removed stains for me. If you don't want to clean the whole bag, here are tricks that have worked for me in the past: , I have used the "eraser" that comes with that kit it's white. If you have a white eraser at home you can erase the spot with it. That is best for one spot. You can also try rubbing alcohol, but test it 1st on a hidden spot to be sure it won't discolor you bag.
my question is how to clean inside material that can't be pulled out ..no one is showing that part :( some are made so that the inside cant be pulled out at all
When the inside cannot be pulled out, you have to flip the entire bag inside out. It can be done. I Gently but with some muscle, flip the bag completely inside out to clean the inside.
Thank you for this! I just purchased a white/cream pebbled leather coach bag that had a blue pen mark on the front. I tried dabbing it with leather cleaner and lotion using a microfiber but no luck ☹️
Ink is really hard on leather. I have two tips you can try. #1 rubbing alcohol. That is what I try 1st, you may have to soak it in rubbing alcohol. If this does not work, you could buy white leather shoe polish and try to cover it up. keep me posted Quenby
How do you get ink stains out of a fabric lining of a purse? I just got a second-hand MK bag where the lining doesn't flip out and I'm having trouble getting those ink stains out. Help?
Honestly ink is the hardest. Rubbing alcohol is what everyone uses. I soak a Q tip in it and apply it to the leather. It doesn't always work but it's the best option. You can soak just the ink spot for tougher stins
A good leather bag deserves something like buckmire 4 to clean and cindition it. Its nit exoensuve and leaves the leatger looking amazing I would never use thise shoe shine sponges- they deposit silicone on the leather which dries it out over time. Normal shoe polish canvalsi come off on clothes. I use wily ir collonil coloured cream which conditions and replaces colour.
How on earth does one clean a light blue interior lining on 2 leather Coach purses that are somehow impossible when the interior cloth is directly attached to the leather and can't be tossed upside down to clean. It must be seen in. Would Clorox two work or do I take it to a dry cleaner or sho er repair man.
Good question. I have never seen a coach bag where the inside is sewn on to the leather. ARe you 100% certain the liner won't come away from the inside leather? The bag has to be flipped inside out to best clean the lining.
