holding onto that double road so long, missed the op to go 6, 11, 12
Has road builder, doesn’t use it, gets plowed. Seen multiple Catan players do this and it baffles me every time…
There are 2 main reasons for this:
1. If you recall at the start of the video, I said we have the possibility to connect for a road play given our proximity of settles. Holding the road builder would give us the ability to take road with only 1 road. This could come in handy in many calculations. Let’s say I pull 2 vps, army, and have 2 cities down, I can use the RB to connect FTW.
2. By waiting and not showing I have 2 open settles, it does limit my threat levels. By showing the board I have limited settle opportunities, it will help me stay off the radar.
Obviously there is some negatives to losing the easier spot as it could make my endgame a bit more difficult but I try to be as patient as I can for higher value plays. Luckily the 2 hit to help the winning play.

@@dandydrew you also played a knight that turn, its not like you just passed without using a dev. Prioritezed fighting for army (red had 3 played vs yours 2) and end up making an Ore the led to the wining knight.

If you can influence colonist I think a rolling % chance of winning or points throughout the game similar to how say PFF does it for football would be really cool to see and good for post game analysis. Don't think it be too hard to get a baseline code going. GGs WP

@@BeeEmEcksIt’s easy to point the finger at Blue but I don’t think anyone saw a 6 point swing happening that turn, that includes YT who knows my devs and cards. I got trades from everyone on this board and to be fair, black was the person who traded me the brick that lead to the 52 port settle into the 2 roll. Not fair to blame 1 player here.
