Honestly kinda shocked to see you go for the city over the settle early. Porting ore is tough but it’s so hard for you to get the sheep. It also helps with pacing, and a city is not that hard to get with the coordinated 5s, plus the 8 and four.
I also liked the settle. Too easy to 7-out with our excess ore after the city if we take into consideration our only wheat is blocked. If we think we can get ore trades for wheat or sheep I guess it's fine, but I'm a bit sceptical considering sheep is rare and those wanting ore needs the wheat too.
I was surprised to see you go for the double pop over the 62 city at 20:30, I figured by that point you were so far behind on knights it'd be worth it to prioritize building to 10 over getting more pops.
I just started.. I’m always pretty handy with games in general, and I’m always seen as the biggest threat. I’m always targeted by robbers… they don’t want to trade with me. In every game I’ve played, I’m the one that has the highest total of discarded cards. Last game the two nearest me, couldn’t even combine their losses to mine. I also often meet, that my opponents refuse to trade with me. Like last game, the guy in front gets all the trade he wants, and wins the game. I finish 3rd, with 6 points, but I have the card to get biggest army and on the verge to get the biggest road. I’m sure if I keep at it, I’d be better to lure it home.
We rarely see you make mistakes. I think this game you had some better options as others have mentioned. Also the YOP at 22:38 should not have been used in my opinion. You can 4f1 the sheep for the settle and hold YOP for the winning city next turn cycle. This game it didn't matter but I think you would agree here
That early rob from black on your sheep was the difference between you settling first vs buying the city first, I think. How do you reckon the game would've panned off of something so random like a rob on the wheat instead @dandydrew?
Great game! I honestly get a lot out of your games when you lose, because it shows how you handle tough situations. Also love me some catanplayers like black, being salty and stuff. Assuming that you lie about your VPs tells more about him then about you- and obviously HE was the one who lied.
Orange threw. Plowed you then just gave up went for ore port when half the time the 5 was getting blocked. Could’ve put it down on the 8. The 9/11 settle could’ve been placed on the 3:1 port. Felt like they was throwing hard

You mean to 4:1 the ore for a sheep?
Yeah totally agree. Your Ore you just boosted will be blocked and you need to hold 4 Ore plus a 4 roll plus a 10 roll to settle.

I think instead of taking the city, he should have dropped a road to the ore port to protect it.

He was hunting for another VP since black had drawn so many knights.
Basically Orange threw his own game to take away Dandy's great position. Martyr syndrome.
Yes love having a Catan video to watch every day again!
8:00 I cracked out when u yelled 2! It was funny 😂
wooo another vid been watchign ur vids so much lately mann, so nice to watch !!!!
22:22 Drew had winning rolls. 6, 9, 10 = 2 wood or brick + YoP + port sheep = 5 roads for a total of 10 roads
So many 7s, what a bloodbath!
Close one! Ggs. Interesting to read the comments on this one, lots of small things I didn’t notice

Dandy - great gameplay - it's been good vibes watching the games!
I would have taken 6510 up to ore port. If someone takes 8,10 you are left with lots of space elsewhere, win-win
Black had every roll besides the 8 and 2 pretty early

In hindsight, I agree! I made a few mistakes. I also think I missed a sheep for wood trade on the last turn considering the player 3 for 1ed his wood.
Yo Dandy why not considera 6510?
22:17 U had winning rolls to take road here 6 , 9 and 10 w the yop u could have built 5 roads. ggs
facts
Could have trade a sheep for wood with red too (instead red 3-1 the wood)

I thought orange would plow you before the game even started. Just to take away your powerful ore port that you really needed.
5-9-10 is the first pick here by far...
you could have won with road, right? port the sheep + yop = 10 roads?
9 roads, yop buys you one not two
Yep. Only would have been at 9.

5:43 3/36? Or 1 in 12
Should have tried to trade for road at the end
Agreed that was a missed opportunity
@@dandydrew keep it up, you’re the king 👑
