Did you figure it out? There are a few ways to do it. Select where you want your second verse, by clicking on the lyrics of the first verse and then hit ENTER and it will push the text area to the next line for additional verses. The other way is to use the Inspector tool and find lyrics in it and the choose which verse you want to fill in. The Inspector is more complicated but offers some cool extra tricks when you learn how to use it.
To edit a word, right click on it and select "Edit Element" from the drop down menu. To extend a single syllable over multiple notes (melisma), enter the syllable and then press the underscore key (or hyphen key if syllable is not the last one in the word) until the last note.

I need my notes to be printed larger. In my current software, if I enlarge the notes, the lyrics will not match the note values. And if I enlarge the lyrics the words run into each other. Can I enlarge the lyrics in Musescore and have the note spacing continue to match the lyrics spacing?

Is there a way to put lyrics in and have them not directly attached to specific notes (I am adding lyrics and it's making the measure so massive and I'd rather not have it turn into only 2 measures per line (versus 4 which is how it's set up for all other lines in my sheet music). Hoping this question makes sense! In this case it doesn't have to be exact singing on a specific note, the person can choose how they sing it by feel.
Having the space advance you to the next note seems advantageous, but honestly it drives me completely nuts. Having to hit CTR-SP to have it not skip to the next note is positively maddening, such as when there is just a chord entered per bar on the staff above, but the lyrics have an entire phrase. It sure would be nice if in settings you could change that behavior somehow so, for instance, TAB would advance you to the next note, and space is just a space. I mean some may prefer the current behavior, fine, but for my needs it's not good.

The selection filter doesn't work. Selecting the score entirely and trying to change font and format with FORMAT-STYLE with 'uneven' lyrics line and 'even lyrics line' doesn't work. Your video was very clear, but I would have one more question: In case of a long, modulated syllable, is there a way to mark the length? I saw this in published scores. I would like to add harmonica TAB in the place of lyrics. “+” for blow and “-“ for draw and the number of the hole. Example; +5 -4 -3, etc. The plus sign with a number works fine, but when I try to enter a minus sign and number, MuseScore enters a hyphen and jumps to the next note. Is this possible? Thanks. (I know that there are plug-ins which automatically add harmonica TAB but I find them inaccurate and difficult to modify).

The Parts are different however the Lyrics are the same. Is it possible to simply copy the Lyrics so that they correspond with the individual Parts i.e. Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass e.t.c.? I have tried to copy and paste the Lyrics to the various SATB Parts however I have been unsuccessful. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have, if this is possible that is. I am working on a grand staff with only bass clef notes. I would like to place the lyrics in between staves but the cursor comes up below the bass notes. How do I get the words between?

@@tarapath5099 Did you try dragging the lyrics up? You can also look and see if there is an option in the Inspector tool for that. That Inspector does a LOT of stuff.
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible to increase the size of the lyrics at one time. You will want to click on the first word, then hold the shift key and click on the last word. This will turn all of the lyrics blue. Then look at the inspector element on the right hand side of the screen, under text you will see a number for the font size. You can then enter a larger number and it will apply the new size to all of your lyrics. Let me know if this worked for you. Thank you again!

To do this, you will select the first lyric by clicking on it, it will turn blue. Once selected, hold down the shift key, and then click on the last lyric. This should turn all of the lyrics blue. Once selected, go ahead and press the "delete" key on your keyboard. This should delete all of the lyrics. Let me know if this works for you.

You can fix it in the Inspector tool. It fixes almost all the weird stuff.

Try using the Inspector function. If it is not showing, go to VIEW in the tool bar and make it visible and then look for lyric in the Inspector.
