Wondering if you happen to have a series that is strictly about 'playback' -how to open a file, adjust page size, use the metronome, mixer etc - basics for beginning students who are just watching and listening.

I'm trying to get the page to fit my tablet. The windows stretch too far down and i can't hit or even see buttons like "apply" etc. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a fix for this. I know i managed it a couple years back when i had this same issue but I cannot figure it out now nor find the answer anymore with my new laptop. it's so frustrating.

To press some bracket I need to hold Shift, then for me Shift + (Shift + my Key with Bracket) is impossible.
¿How to do the same effect using Menus?

Hi, Do you know how to do this in MuseScore 4? The commands "expanding (highlight select, then shift + ] )" and "shrinking (highlight select, then shift + [ )" dosen't work.

1:26, 1:52 line break (system break)
    2:01 undo (ctrl+z)
    2:14 expanding (highlight select, then shift + ] )
    2:58 shrinking (highlight select, then shift + [ )
4:02 height of staff (staff spacer)
    4:33 size of individual notes (format>page settings>scaling)
6:46 setting last measure of a page (page break)

the program desperatelly needs option to manually adjust width of every individual measure - but literal click&drag...as well as move a measure to previous system with single button...these are only things which musescore sucks at (while for example finale has it)

Thank you SO much for these tutorials! I'm making theory tests for my state music teacher's association, and have been running into issues while trying to use other software... such as not being able to "hide" time signatures and such, when I want the students to fill those elements in as an answer to a question. I wanted to be able to make the staff larger, too. This helps the younger children, who normally draw notes rather large, to position their note heads on the correct line or space. I appreciate these... again, thank you!

Thank you for this video. Lots of information. A friend showed me how to place the cursor on a bar & hit return which also dropped the next measures to the next line. What I need to know is how do decrease the space between the lines so I can fit 2 tunes (32 bars each with repeats) on a page. Thanks for any input you might have.

    Hi Kyle,
Thanks for the video. A small criticism: to stretch a bar or bars, you say to use shift+'['. That is true for some keyboard layouts but by no means for all. It wouldn't work on a Canadian multi-lingual keyboard nor on keyboards such as German, Spanish, Latin American, Belgian and many more. MuseScore itself wants to see '{', however it is keyed on the keyboard. It would be more helpful to say "key '{', which is shift+'[' on a US keyboard but may be different on yours".

Hey! Is it possible to join two lines in one? Like when you have two parts of flute but in the score for a conductor you need them to be in one line.
Is it possible only by voice addind? It seems to be not so comfortable.

    • @multiversal1060
      @multiversal1060 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Deleting a rest on MuseScore (attempting to leave an empty measure) deletes the entire measure. If you want to delete this rest anyways do Command + Delete if you're on a Mac. Or, I think Control + Delete if you're on a Windows 10.

Hello! Thank you for your extremely helpful video! A lot of cool life hacks! Do you know if it is possible to make some corrections separately in a full score and in parts? For instance, I need to put fingers or a bow directions in a part, but I don't need it in a full score. And vice verse I need to put some marks in the full score for conductor but we don't need it in parts. Is it possible in musescore?

It's very helpful, although I was also looking for ways to like standardize measures so they are all the same size. Especially when I want to insert whole note chords in one measure. Wouldn't it make sense if the measures were standardized like that? PS, also your key signature A is the same as mine, but I'm composing something in B Dorian mode.
