How do you have such nice local fish stores. All I have are Petco's and PetSmart's filled with employees that tell me bettas love to play with each other.
It's because petco and petsmart kill local fish shops. Fish shops have high overheads so any loss in customers could be enough to take them out. And once the ones that were in the area before go out. It becomes nearly impossible for new ones to spring up. Because they have the market now and everyone knows them and probably will not know about the start ups in time for them to not go out of business. It's like that in Sandeigo County when I lived there I would have to drive 30 miles or more to go to a local fish shop. Which is a day trip when you factor in traffic.
I noticed there was some coloured, almost aquarium rock looking stuff in one of Milly's bowls, next to the food. And just wanted to mention if that is indeed food id recommend switching to something without dyes, as foods like that are commonly a lot of filler that isn't great for your bird

The excitement is real! I just got a 29 gallon and I'm going to add a ton of neon tetras and a Betta as a centerpiece. I'm moving my current neon tetras and Betta from my 10 gallon to the 29 and then buying more tetras. So I'm putting guppies in the 10 gallon. No one needs to know that but I'm excited so whatever. Edit: yes, I know they're all super basic fish but I love them
Those furcata rainbows are so beautiful!! 🌈 I’m not sure about gouramis. Female plakat bettas will always be my fave labyrinth fish. ❤️❤️😍😍 Wait no I take it back!! Sparkling gouramis look so cool.. Foo’s sparkling gouramis made me want some.. ❤️❤️❤️
Millie is so freakin cute!! I would suggest putting the paper over the grate or removing it entirely for easier cleaning. Also any toys with cotton on it i'd ditch and replace with toys made from natural materials. Mine love stuff from bird tricks / planet pleasures. :D
You can get pangea directly from their website, as well as josh's frogs and reptile basics, often for discounted prices in larger packs than amazon and pet stores! Just in case you hadn't been aware before. I particularly like pangea's own website, but josh's frogs has sales a lot more and they're a great website for bioactive supplies.

Chris, since you seem to live somewhat near me, i recommend you try hitting up Fish addicts in Langley! Can be hit or miss bec they are hugely popular but if you call before you head out there and they've gotten a fish shipment in the last week or so its awesome! So soooo many plants I've never seen such a wide selection!

I get it I did betas for 3 years male and female and then just recently escaped a larger tank and I've got guppies in them I've got about 10 guppies But the I think is pretty large pretty large they're doing great my next is basically to get like a 7 gallon tank and I want to use it for aquascaping practice. I want to put on a frosty cover and then I want to do something with driftwood I want to try to do a dirted tank with a layer of natural looking gravel. Or even try to do like a substrate and then add sand over it yeah. But the aquarium soil is quite an expensive for one liter it's about 300 NT but I think it would be enough to do a dirty tank but I'd actually like to get some potting soil and see if I can use that instead and then cap it with sand. Some people use crushed lava rock and then they add a layer of potting soil and then they cap it with gravel or sand. I'd like to create the escape where I can you know really use more escaping that kind of goes up and I'd like to have Driftwood in the the front and I'd like to be able to do some carpeting but again I want to use bottled water to see if the process would be better. But it's probably going to cost about $100 to put this tank together

Nice. I always wanted samurai or chocalate gourami but I have no close stores that have them. Best chance is driving an hour and seeing if the best store can order them which isn’t too bad since I need to get some more pea puffers.

the longer you wait to make coffee from ground beans the less it tastes like it's supposed to and more like already pre-ground coffee. the fresher the bean the better tasting the coffee will be.
You inspired me to try my first aquascape! (second aquarium, the first was when I was 10 and I did not understand better fish care.) I am working on a 20 gallon planted tank with dark fertilized sand and volcanic rocks as a hard feature. I am going to put my two corydoras, some shrimp, and maybe if I have space I could cram in some fish that hang around the top like guppies or danios. If you have any advice or anything you think I should do differently please reply.
I hope that's not too much flow for your samurai. I love how gouramis move but they're not the strongest swimmers! My chocolates are big sensitive, shy babies, who fall apart if the pH creeps up at all... I have extremely soft water but with a high PH, so I have to use RO for em. I've read samurais have similar care (though I've also seen people claim chocolates aren't sensitive!) So I'm curious if the samurais are more robust.

I know a lot about hamsters and I have like a 5x8 foot hamster cage I think… and tiny tales are way to small for a hamster the bare minimum is 450 square inches and mine is 864 square inches and you need hideouts, sand baths, water, food, I think a 10 inch whee for any hamster, and finally 6-10 inches of bedding and make sure there is nooo scent and clean the cage once a month… I also might be getting a sand bath and a couple more hideouts.

@@ngrsfb9146 I personally don't recommend enclosed ecospheres if you're starting, because it takes quite a bit of knowledge to balance the shrimp waste to fertilize the plants that will feed the shrimp. The plants might have other deficiencies when the nutrients on the water get used up, or not grow enough for the shrimp to feed on them. I'd say, train closed ecospheres with seed shrimps or other micro crustaceans so you can get a better idea! Good luck!

I’ve been using Harrison’s awhile for my parrot, would definitely recommend! And it’s pricy but will last ages

soon getting a amani shrimp only 1.5 gall tank as my first tank! (im ten so starting the aquascape hobby!)
Make sure not to get too many or add any fish for such a small tank. Good luck!
I recommend neocaridinia shrimp, they are more hardy!
