Quaaludes were becoming very popular in the early 70s. George is signaling his hipness by wearing a RORER 714 t-shirt. The same shirt is still available today...the pills aren't, however.
This is TV history gold.
Very sad to see all these terrific entertainers that are long gone.
Wow! That jacket has it goin’ ON!
Jack Knight, George Carlin, Marvin Hamlish, and Jackie Cooper
For those who don't recognize him? Four years after this appearance, Jackie Cooper went on to play Perry White opposite Christopher Reeve as Superman.
47:30 “That great player-piano in the sky.” Off-hand cosmic comment from Johnny, in his athleisure Senior Olympics suit 😅 Love it, ty

Kids can only see him on television. During his live shows, he cursed constantly. Couldn't take kids to his shows.

I've always loved Johnny Carson from Washington and my parents house to Washington on my arm and my first house
again, I've always loved watching Johnny, when living with my parents as a kid, and when I finally moved out as a young adult
🙆♂️
I'm old enough to remember the Johnny Carson shw, but episodes were never 2.5 hours long. What's going on here?
excellent question. It deserves an answer. I don't have one.
If you notice, when you fast-forward to about the 1:45:000 mark, you'd watch the replay of Carson's monologue he gave at the beginning of the video.
17th Anniversary year of Johnny Carson prime time
jjjjj
Not a bad show. Carlin sub par. Ed n Jackie good. Senior Olympics, deadly dull.
