It's a Great I.D.E.A.! Module Overview

In this introductory installment of our It's a Great IDEA Series, we will very briefly review the Six Tenants of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) covers children with disabilities from 0 to 21 in all fifty states. It mandates, funds, oversees, and lays out the procedures, timelines, and responsibilities of the states toward the development of all students and their right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).
Let's break down the law so that we can advocate for our children with the understanding of how it is meant to be. The more you understand its provisions, the more you will see that it is, indeed, a "Great IDEA!"
